We spent a wonderful week on this campsite and highly recommend it. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. From the initial booking over the phone and throughout our entire stay the staff were always lovely.
The shower and toilet facilities were always spotless and warm in the evening. Loos always has toilet roll and had hand towels and lovely liquid soap(really nice touches). There are 2 showers and loo's in both male and female bathrooms and 1 family wetroom.
My only recommendation would be to install a changing bench to help change babies and have something to sit on in the bathrooms. But I did manage without!
We were in a tent and we had a large pitch on the field next to the tearoom. This is the recreation ground, which they keep for large tents and families. It is flat and has a large grassy areas in the middle - perfect for the kids to play. There is a small petting area where there are rabbits, goats, chickens and a cow - which the kids loved. The field gets lots of sunshine and is fantastic for evening bbq's - watching the kiddies play!
Although the site is around 10-12 miles from the coast it is in beautiful countryside and is so peaceful. There is a well stocked and very reasonble shop.
Crewkerne has 3 supermarkets (Lidl, Waitrose and Co-op) a nice swimming pool for rainy days and a fish and chip shop - only a few miles away.
We will definitely be back and have been recommending to other campers since our return. The only trouble is I really want to keep this site a secret as its so lovely and I would love it to stay that way! Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so memorable.

A small, family run site with a really beautiful countryside location, with superb facilities - the toilet/shower block is cleaned frequently over the day and is modern and well equiped for tourers and camping.
The site has rabbits and goats to pet, with wildlife all around as well. The pond is teeming with fish.
Lucy's tea rooms serve amazing food, so don't miss out on the breakfast and afternoon tea and lunch!. Diet when you get home.
Local pubs serve very good evening meals - you are spoilt for choice.
Lyme Regis and Beer are places not to miss and no distance at all.
The family are all lovely and really look out for you, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended. We will be back, in fact booking to go back tomorrow!

We cannot praise this site highly enough. We stayed in the farmhouse and the room was lovely. The staff were very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure you had everything you needed. I'd definitely visit again. Oh, and the coffee and walnut cake is excellent!
The campsite was also very good and the owners had put on a bbq the two nights we were there, which went down very well - they even put a TV in Lucy's cafe for those who wanted to watch the football on Saturday night.
The only downside was the lack of pubs in the area, which meant having a bit of a drive. Although the pub in Drimpton was very friendly and we had a very nice meal there.

We have just come home after spending 5 nights here. We can not speak highly enough of the facilities and service available.
This site is immaculate. The pitches and facilities are really well maintained and the owners are attentive and go out of their way to help.
The toilets, showers and family rooms were all spotless as were the washing up facilities.
We would highly recommend this site for a peaceful and comfortable holiday or short break. You receive a friendly welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
On site facilities include a lovely tea room that offers breakfasts and light meals, a handy shop for essentials and washer and dryer facilities.
Crewekerne is only a 10 min. Drive away where you will find a good town center, 3 supermarkets (Co-Op, Waitrose and Lidl)and take aways.

A big 'thank you' to everyone at Oathill Farm.
This was our first outing in a caravan. We booked on the day we arrived and received a friendly welcome on arrival.
We couldn't unhitch our car/caravan because of inexperience and I think a dodgy hitch.
Everyone was so helpful and eventually got us sorted.
They were just brilliant. Next day we hadn't been able to get any milk - we were offered a jug of milk FOC. Just brilliant helpful and friendly.
Now the site is as past reviews describe. So clean, modern and organised.
Pet corner is wonderful and will be ideal for families with children.
We stayed for three nights and enjoyed each one.

We visited Oathill Farm for a weekend and found it to be very well maintained. The shower block is wonderful, new and modern, with fantastic facilities.
Our pitch had electric and a constant supply of free spring water which was a lovely unexpected bonus. The resident site warden, Larry, was very friendly and helpful and even helped us to put up our awning.
The owner, Paul, was also very accommodating and friendly and his hard work is reflected in the cleanliness and attractiveness of the site and its facilities.
Oathill is a small but pretty site and the the pitch was a good size for our camper van and awning. The site is about a 25 minute drive to Lyme Regis and Bridport.
We would highly recommend this site for a peaceful and comfortable holiday or short break. You receive a friendly welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
For food we highly recommend the Ilchester arms in Symmondsbury for a home cooked dinner (about 20 mins in car) and Abbey House for afternoon tea or lunch in Abbotsbury (about 35 mins). Hive beach is beautiful and has a fantastic cafe (about 30 mins).

We have just come home after spending 12 nights here. We have had a fabulous time and can not speak highly enough of the facilities and service available. The toilets, showers and family rooms were all spotless as were the washing up facilities.
The owners were very welcoming and helpful and the site warden even offered to help us pitch! The pitches were generous in size and well maintained, but heavy duty pegs and mallet are needed to erect awnings on the hard standing.
The surrounding area offers plenty of shingle beaches within 20 mins, and Lyme Regis has a small sandy beach with lots going on.
We spent an excellent day at Seaton riding on the electric trams and spotting an abundance of wildlife (Fox,buzzard and a Heron!) followed by a Sunday lunch at Colyford.
We will be going back.

We've just returned from our 5 day break at Oathill.
Previous reviews state that the tent pitches were too close together and this has now been changed. The number of pitches in the tent area reduced and further room has been opened up on the top field.
We found the owners to be very friendly and attentive and keen to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible.
The site was immaculate and we saw no dog mess at all. The showers and toilets are modern and extremely clean. A ready supply of hot water was always available, whatever time we used the showers.
On site facilities include a lovely tea room that offers breakfasts and light meals, a handy shop for essentials (Crewekerne is a short drive away for supermarkets), pets corner for the kids (which they loved), washer and dryer facilities are available.
The site is in a beautiful country location and is easy reach for the Jurassic Coast and many local attractions including the Fleet Air Arm Museum (well worth a visit).
Looking forward to our next visit.

This site is immaculate. The pitches and facilities are really well maintained and the owners are attentive and go out of their way to help. The only criticism is the size of the tent pitches (10). There is no room to park near the tents and if there are some large tents it is very cosy. The owners welcomed the feedback so the number could be reduced in future.
The surrounding area is very rural and quiet. You are less than 15 miles or so from the Jurassic Coast and Dorchester. The nearest town, Crewkerne, is quite big and has all the supermarket needs (Waitrose, Somerfield & Lidl) that you could want. There is a farm across the road from the site which sells fresh produce at a very reasonable price.
We are definitely going back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

This is a small rural site surrounded by trees with EH & new facilities block which has 2 ladies free showers / hairdryer & family shower room. There are laundry facilities, a covered wash-up area & many recycling bins. It has a small shop for basics with supermarkets in Crewkerne. You can book breakfast & Sunday lunch at the the farm tea shop which also does light lunches & teas.
We had a very enjoyable week here walking the many public footpaths, bridleways & quiet country lanes using ordanance survey map. The views from Pilsden Pen & Blackdown Hill are well worth the walk up on a clear day. Beaminster & Bridport are also worth a visit as is Hind Cove on the coast if only for the small ice cream shop -It is just on the edge (east) of Burton Bradstock.
