Just come back after a great weekend at this campsite. The owners were really friendly and kept the site in great condition. The views over the country side where lovely to just sit and look at for hours. Very quite only a few tractors going by during the day but the evening and night were silent so a great place to relax. Great location if you want to visit Wookey Hole, Cheddar or Weston-Super-Mere as they were all within 30mins drive away.
The site was really easy to find using a sat nav as it took you straight to the site and once you have driven there a couple of times you remember where it was.
The facilities were excellent and very clean, you have to pay £1 for the shower however this goes really far, we used £0.35p for 3 people which lasted about 30mins and if you don’t use all the £1 it stores it for you. The site also had a fridge/freezer which was very usefully for keeping stuff cold which can usually be a nightmare if your in a tent. There was also a washing up station which was brilliant.
There was an Asda about 15mins drive away which again was great as we didn't have to worry about taken food with use as we brought it fresh each day. There was also loads of local shops & pubs nearby as well.
We will be returning to this site again during the summer as it was a great little site with excellent facilities and a great price.

This was our first visit here on a stopover from the M5. We were only going to stay two nights but ended up staying a week.
It looks tricky on the map for caravans but the route in from Blackford is ok with plenty of passing places, the sat-nav took us straight there. Neil met us on arrival after a quick 'phone call and fitted us in despite the site being busy.
We were right next to the Alpacas - Geoffry, Albert & Percy and had wonderful views of the Somerset Levels, all from the caravan door. The owners came around every evening to make sure everyone was ok - a nice touch. On our first evening they gave everyone a guided tour of the Sea Harrier, impressive stuff.
The two showers are great - nice and hot - and you can shower three people for a pound. Everything was kept clean. A fridge/Freezer next to the showers was a useful addition. The fresh farm eggs are to die for.
There are some great walks from the site across the levels with wild flowers and lots of birdlife (Westhay Moor Reserve is a short drive).
This is a top Certified Site run by great people and very good value.

We had yet another lovely stay at this campsite, beautiful views, use of a fridge/ freezer good showers. The owner are very helpful and dog friendly. Hopefully we're gong back again sometime this year. If you like your animals and planes I would highly recommend this campsite to you =) A good list of shops and petrol station are printed on the shower block. A local butcher is down the road for your sausages and eggs. Try the cider farm down the road hiccup.

Lovely small campsite run by really friendly people. Considering it was the first year it had most things you require including clean shower and toilet facilities - although it should be noted that these are unisex but don't let that put you off - the shower is separate to the toilets and entered via separate lockable door so no privacy issues. £1 may seem a lot for the shower but believe me you get your monies worth - you could shower a whole family in the time you are given - and when you consider we paid £8 a night for the pitch - fantastic value.
Great views over towards Glastonbury Tor and Wedmore is only a few minutes drive away if you want to eat out - we went to the New Inn pub and would go there again - friendly atmosphere and good simple food with plenty of it - just what you need when you are camping (beer good as well!)
The owners were great - really friendly and we wish them every success.
All in all a good site.
Only down side that marred the site for me was the occasional mess left by dog owners and although this was few and far between and any that were spotted were around the edges it did initially make me a bit wary of where our son was running. Please do not let this put you off the site - but if you are a dog owner please respect the sites you are on and clear up the mess you pets leave behind.

We arrived at this new site with expectation based upon the official website that had a great story to tell which gave it something a little different!.A 'Harrier Jump Jet' from the Falklands battles WOW! Yes it was true parked up in all it's glory in a self converted hanger used by the owners to show and give tours to new arrivals. A lovely welcoming young couple.
Great centre piece for the kids who can hop in and out the cockpit and get that great one off photo of a lifetime. We were delighted also with the greeting we received from the hosts who were a delightful couple that showed us that they really did care about their 'Guests' which was great and made you feel welcome as soon as you arrived, and they often tapped tents to say a good morning which was refreshing and welcome.
To be honest what made our mind up to book this site was when we enquired by telephone the owners were so very helpful, genuine and polite and that made a difference before we even got there.
The site has fantastic views across the meadows that allows you to see for miles, its tranquil setting in the green countryside made it very quiet and a special place to be. A nice touch of a picnic table for Alfresco was available too overlooking the gorgeous views, whilst the Toilet and shower facilities were limited in their number (2 toilets & 1 shower)which was the only draw back for me, however the owners came to the rescue again and made their farm house shower and toilets available for busy periods which we felt was exceptional of them to do and even think that WELL DONE!
It had electric hook ups and basic pitches without electric but many spaces for all, the usual chemical waste disposal point and water points were all clean and tidy, the site afforded play areas where we set up badminton and had a good game. This is a new site and their first year they told us but if our first visit is anything to go by it seemed like they had been doing it for years!
Locally we went to visit some lovely local pubs with food and some allowed dogs, food was fine and locally you are within 10 miles of Cheddar gorge, Bridgewater, Wells,Glastonbury & Brean sands. It's all there for great days out, if you have a teen family or youngsters then highly recommend Brean sands fun park fantastic rides and great day out and value for money, plus the caves of cheddar wonderous and nearby Wookey Hole!
Can be windy on the site at times as it's open and true camping which we loved, Toilets were clean but sometimes the queue was a little tiresome but we are aware its their first season and they will be expanding this I'm sure. I am going back there again soon for a great weekend break without kids! I recommend that too.
Thoroughly good site, great hosts and stunning location.

What a stunning little site! I almost don't want to tell you how lovely it!
GOOD POINTS: Stunning Views, Quiet location, Friendly Owners, Clean Facilities ( 2 loos and 1 shower - £1 coin operated), excellent base for visiting some beautiful towns and villages or sea side towns, NO clubhouse.
BAD POINTS: I can't actually think of any!
The local shop and pub are a drive away or quite a long walk ( no footpaths) but a beautiful walk.
A definite 'must' this site but only if you like the quieter more peaceful camping. We WILL be visiting again. If I haven't just overfilled it!

What a beautiful find this site.I selected this site because it was just a basic site with showers and toilets. We don't need anything more, as we like to go out and about. The owners Jo and Neil are very friendly and always checking that everybody is happy. You don't get this personal service with the larger camp sites. The site has beautiful surroundings. Glastonbury Tor. Breath taking to wake up to in the morning. Beautiful to see the lights at night. I would recommend this site to any of my friends and me and my family hope to return in the near future.
Truely enjoyable holiday.

What a great find. Almost reluctant to tell you what a beautiful quiet site this is.
Perfect stop when fed up of M5 car park!
We stayed two nights and all pitches come with electric and with the most amazing views.
Jo and Neil very welcoming and thanks for letting us use the fridge.
Our two small children loved the horses and cows next door! Great child friendly site, they can run around safely and loads of space for games.
Good facilities, thank you very much.

What a little gem this site turned out to be.
We were attracted by Neil + Jo's Sea Harrier but fell in love with the fantastic view across the Somerset Levels across to Glastonbury Tor.
This combined with good facilities (levelish field, warm welcome, hook up, toilets and showers) made this our favourite campsite so far in 2010.
As this is such a new site we can't wait to see what enhancements will be made in future.
