Absolutely loved this campsite, very friendly, helpful owners, nothing was too much trouble. Showers & toilets very clean. Walking distance of Moors Valley Country Park which is great. Local pub is great for lovely food. Play area at the campsite was loved by my children. Would definitely recommend this site & cannot wait to go back again for a longer stay!

This is a good site however mainly for caravan owners really, as the camping section is quite small, and it is 90% dominated by caravans-mostly static. The facilities are clean and good, showers, toilets, basins, washing up areas etc. And it is only a 20 minute walk along paths and tracks to Moors Valley-which has loads to offer children, and it saves on paying the substantial parking fees there. We did feel it lacked the peaceful country feel as there was a lot of loud banger-racing and a car boot fair a few fields across on the Sunday. However our little boy did enjoy watching the cars go round the track, and also the playpark on-site. It depends what you're after, but for us a bit more of an 'away from everything' feel is what we most enjoy about camping. The New Forest for instance gets you much closer to nature.

We booked at very short notice and had a warm welcome from staff. We love this campsite because of its location as you can cycle without going on roads into moors valley.
Our only negative is that the hot water is never really hot enough for washing up and does run out if you are late doing it. The toilet blocks are nice and the children like the play area.

Fantastic site - ground firm despite the weather ! Warden very helpful and friendly. Will return many times when we see the family.
Very close to Moors Valley Park which is wonderful for all and you can walk there across footpaths.
Quiet site despite being almost full as Bank Holiday. Thank you Ian for mending our exhaust too !

The site was easy to find. We were pleased that the information given was accurate. We were met by a gentleman who opened the office and explained the way the campsite was run and nearby attractions. We hadn't camped for years and were impressed by the size of pitches, making our tent look small! Everyone around seemed friendly and relaxed, so there was a good atmosphere. The washing facilities were fine - a must for easy camping with basic equipment.
We tried out the nearby pub. The meal wasn't cheap, but the food was good and the service excellent.
We would happily use this campsite again, though hopefully no frost next time - getting a bit old for cold nights under canvas!

Great site very clean facilities showers loos washing up area kept clean as well as site itself warden went around at least four times a day making sure site was kept clean. Pitches are great size for our 6 berth tent with porch. Daughter enjoyed the play park. Chip van on a Friday we did not use but was very busy. Great for country park well worth going to. Near to Bournemouth Poole had a great night watching the fireworks Swanage close by to.

This site is owned & run by a lovely couple who will do anything to help. They posses good knowledge of the local attractions including the best places to park in nearby Bournemouth.
The site itself is situated off a busy road (during the day), but is sat approx. 200m back and well sheltered by trees so road noise is not an issue. There is a walkway located to the rear of the site which leads to the local pub (never went so can't comment) and Ringwood Forest, which takes around 10 minutes by foot. This is a huge bonus as the parking is £8. 00 a day at the forest car park! There is plenty to do for kids, very good day out.
If you are taking children there is a fabulous play area that will keep them occupied and there are no paved roads so plenty of grass for games, etc.
Facilities on site are getting dated, however they work and are kept clean so you can't really ask for more.
There is a little shop on site that sell the basics (eggs, bread, milk, beans, etc. ), several supermarkets like Morriosns & Sainsbury's are located within a 10 mile radius.

We have just returned from a week at this Campsite and really enjoyed it.
The reception staff are really friendly and helpful, when we arrived the shop/reception was closed for lunch so we thought we would go for a walk but someone came out immediately and let us check in.
The pitch was large and all pitches have electric hook up.
There is a lovely play area for the children, our boys had a fantastic time and made lots of friends.
The facilities are good, though one night we could not wash up as there was no hot water (I did point out to my husband he could have boiled a kettle)! Also for a £5 deposit you can have a key for larger family shower rooms which are great if you have young children.
There is a pub in walking distance and on a Friday evening a fish and chip van visits, the fish and chips were lovely.
The campsite is near Moors Valley Country Park and you can cycle there without going on the road.
The site is well placed for visiting East Dorset and the New Forest.

2nd time camping! Moors valley country park is more or less next door, worth a Google.
The site was good, very clean toilet and shower facilities. I noticed a washing machine and tumble dryer and even a clothes line to use. Didn't seem to be many tents on site also a lot of caravans unattended, I guess that's what they call 'seasonal pitches'?
Dog barking all night was a tad annoying but cant blame the site for that unless it was the farm dog.
Shop was very limited but then again probably sold the basics if you had forgtten something and there is Tesco express less then 5 miles away at West moors I think it was called,
End of the day nice extremely clean and pleasant site which I would use again.
The 'stewards?' who seem to be in charge of the site were camping near the front gate were lovely and helpful too

This was our 3rd visit to this site and it was as good as ever. The pitches are huge compared to some we have stayed on and the welcome is always warm and friendly. The facilities are clean and there is always plenty of hot water and we have never had to queue for the showers. The short walk to Moors Valley means there is loads for the kids to do and plenty of space for them to play back at the site. Season long regulars are always friendly and welcoming and there is a real feeling of space around the site. We have made this site a regular trip in the calendar. Our lowest mark is due to the shop being really quite basic - but the site is on a farm so you could hardly expect Sainsburys !
