If you’re looking for a simple site to get away from it all you’ll find it here!

A very peaceful, quiet field location where the only external noise came from the sheep in the adjacent field and a small stream running alongside.

There are nice walks locally and numerous cutesy villages within a seven mile radius.

Facilities were basic but immaculately clean and hosts Jim and daughter were friendly and chatty.

Decent value at £17p/n.

The only negative was the gradient of the slope near the bottom of the field, it was quite steep and as we were side ways on meant we had to level our caravan so high we couldn’t use our awning.

We travelled to Yorkshire to attend an event and this was very successful. There were extreme winds on two of our four nights and 4" snow on the last. We were able to use our mains water coupler and with mains electricity we were able to cope with the extreme conditions.

The owner of the site was very helpful on the phone when we made our booking, was very welcoming on our arrival, and then visited us when there was snow and assisted us with extracting out caravan and getting away.

The owner quickly picked up our names and addressed us by our first names - that was a very nice touch. We will certainly have fond memories of this site and the owner and use it again if the opportunity arises.

Due to the extremely wet weather we stayed on hard standing. The field looked very peaceful.

Good quiet location. Hut with toilet and showers. Dvds and books available to borrow!

Will book again

The owner Jim is really friendly and guided us to our pitch. Electric hook up (high current) and fresh water is near each pitch.

We were on hardstanding as the grassy area was way too wet. Local area is lovely and the nearest pub (1 mile), the Queens Head, serves amazing food and really well kept ales.

The local area is very beautiful, Brimham Rocks a must see although always busy. Nice walks around the area too.

Two toilets and one shower was OK for us as the site was quiet. Facilities quite basic but perfectly useable, only gripes would be 1) no washing up facilities but as I suppose it is mainly geared to campervans and motor homes this was not a serious issue, 2) the shower water flow is a bit weak.

I would certainly use this site again.

Site is round the back of RAF Menwith Hill.

We parked on hardstanding near shower/wc/games room unit; didn't need the hook-ups.

Visited Brimham Rocks and Harrogate.

 Lovely, friendly, level farm site.

Facilities basic but spotless.

Nice walks from site.

Local pub is dog friendly, excellent beer and food.

Will definitely return.

This is one of our favourite sites and we use it regularly. Everything is here for a peaceful stay in lovely surroundings.

Toilet and shower block is basic and clean with an adjacent games room. Access is good and we receive TV and phone plus internet via our mobile dongle.

Jim is a most personable and helpful proprietor and we highly recommend this site.

This is a very good secluded site. Toilet and shower facilities were good and clean. The owner was friendly and very helpful.

We had the site to ourselves once the bank holiday trade had gone except for one night when we had a hedgehog around the site.

About 5 minutes drive from the main road and very close to Harrogate and north Yorkshire.

I would recommend this site to all. This is the second time that we have stayed there and will definitely visit again.
