Small, friendly, immaculately maintained but still feels close to nature. Huge pitches, calm and safe atmosphere. Excellent facilities and delicious catering (bbq/breakfast pastries) if you want. Huge bonus if wet is the open sided barn where you can cook and eat. Fridges here too for you to keep food in so no need for a coolbox.
Loved it so much we did two weekends in a row.
Will be back next year!

This was a really lovely visit to a very clean tidy well organised site with caring and hospitable owners. No signs everywhere saying no! Very clean showers and toilets.
Friendly owners who are thoughtful and generous by being available and offering croissant to order daily. Bbq weekly.
Barns for all to use and very child and family friendly.
Would visit again.

The site owners were amazing! At 1 am, the wind was gusting stronger than forecast - and our tent couldn't cope!
The owners had their emergency contact number in the leaflet - and we rang them! They rescued us, setting us up with a pop-up tent in the barn, and helping lie down our tent - weighed down with bricks. They were thoughtful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble.

Just back from a lovely stay at The Croft, even the torrential rain and gale force wind didn’t put a dampener on it!
The owners Maria and Guy were so friendly and accommodating they made us feel very welcome and were always on hand to help, have a chat or offer advice.
The pitches were huge and so well maintained! Shower blocks and toilets were pristine and were cleaned throughout the night. One of our party has a phobia of spiders and she was very impressed with the absence of creepy crawlies!
Loved having the fire pit on the nights we had good weather and the ice cream van coming on site was a welcome addition. Can’t wait to return and hopefully bring the sun back with us!
Thank you Maria and Guy!

A relaxed and friendly campsite with excellent facilities, lots of open space and generously sized pitches. The hosts are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. They've thought of everything to make camping easy and fun.
There are undercover areas including a large barn which serves as a games room - very handy when it's raining! There are fridges to keep your food in, a washing machine and indoor sinks for washing up.
The toilet block was always very clean throughout our stay and we never had to wait for a shower. (The site has also put in excellent Covid safety measures in all communal areas).
The other thing we love is that the pitches are positioned around the edges of the fields which means that in the middle of the fields there's lots of room for kids to play. And it's wonderful being able to have a fire and toast marshmallows in the evenings! (You can also order pastries for breakfast, which are delicious).
All in all we couldn't have had a more brilliant holiday - thank you for everything! We can't wait to come back next year!

This was our first visit to Suffolk, and found this campsite to be ideally placed to reach both the coast and inland areas of interest. Booking process was easy.
Site was well laid out with spacious pitches separated by newly planted hedges. Toilet/shower facilities were excellent, very clean and plentiful.
The cartlodge barn with picnic benches and fridge/freezers would be ideal as wet weather seating/eating areas, and the barn with table tennis and table football would be great as indoor play areas for children in wet weather.
Separate playing field is a great idea for ball games, etc. The site owners were very visible in looking after the site/doing BBQ/Sunday breakfasts.
Highly recommend this site for short or longer breaks. Would definitely return to this site.

Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The site is exceptionally clean and I was really impressed with the Covid safe measures that were put in place.
We stayed in the Camping Cottage which was delightful and surpassed all expectations. There is lots of room for kids to run around and a play barn that went down really well!
We will definitely be back again - highly recommend!

Booking the site was really easy and Maria and Guy were helpful throughout the process, even with amending the booking at a later date. The set up they have means that you can have a completely contactless check in and they make it really simple to find your pitch. The pitches are a nice size with room for a large tent car and table chair campfire space.
The facilities are modern clean and well maintained and no long queuing. The barn has tables and chairs and fridges and freezers and there is a games barn with table tennis and table football (also trikes for kids but not available due to Covid 19)
The Friday night BBQ was delightful and good value.
Maria and Guy were helpful during the stay and we had a great time. The only downside is that there is very little shade around the tents and so gazebo or large umbrella would be needed in very hot weather.

Everything was perfect! Plenty of space on the pitch, clear boundaries of your pitch.
Facilities were clean. Maria and guy were extremely helpful and welcoming.
The area is quiet and peaceful with little towns only up the road.
Will be staying again can’t rate it high enough.

We've visited The Croft Campsite since 2017 and we think Maria and Guy have raised the bar of what makes a good campsite!
It's always relaxing to be there, and so many thoughtful touches add to the pleasure: firepits and wood, Fri eve BBQ, Sun morning bacon baps, morning croissants, and even a kettle for boiling water for a cuppa. Not to mention great chats with Maria and Guy, and knowing that lots of thought and knowledge has gone into making the site as safe as possible.
We're visiting again with friends in a couple of weeks' time and we feel sure they will enjoy it as much as we do.
Very highly recommended!
