Lovely little site, and a nice walk for the dogs, no where near any main roads/traffic. Lovely chapel to view, and the facilities were lovely. Owners very helpful and friendly, will definitely go back, as its not too far from home, and a nice break for a weekend away from all the stresses of life. Has a play area for children. We will say that being at the bottom end of the site, near the play area, that you do get some slight traffic noise from the road over the fencing/boundary, but you dont notice it too much. I slept very well, so it wasnt that bad, but just thought would mention in case anyone had an issue with it, so pick a pitch further back. But loved it anyway.

A quiet peaceful site just three miles from the motorway. Entry to the site is by barrier using a barrier card. The pitches are large gravel hardstandings. Two pitches had large American R/V's. The site has two shower / toilet blocks, which were clean and well maintained, but appear a little dated. There is a small childrens play area.I thought that the pitches at the top end of the site may be subject to road noise. There are plenty of birds, rabbits and grey squirrels running around, so watch your dogs! The site is dominated by the church tower of St Marys church which to some is an architectural masterpiece to others something else, but its worth a close look.Reception can order papers and staff very pleasant. There is a bus stop outside the site to Birmingham (No 177) the ticket was £3.60p return to the Bullring, took about 35 mins (reception has bus times). A 15 minute walk from the site takes you to 'Becketts' farm shop & Restaurant. The shop was good, with cakes, bread, meat and will make you a sandwich of your choice from the cold display (seemed popular). This is a great site, and for us it was relaxing stop over from the South to the North. Will certainly return.

We have stayed at this site many times, it's level, nearly all hardstanding and has some nice trees. 2 toilet blocks 1 of which is a bit tired and in need of some TLC. Do not rely on the aerial points working. The one we used didnt work we told the warden who said a lot don't work and the club aren't bothered.
We used to local bus, some stop by the entrance and some by the island, check the timetable carefully!.
Beckett farm shop up the road is very good, Restaurant a bit pricey.
Site handy for motorways, some noise but not a great problem.

We have just returned from this site, having stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting the horse of the year show at the NEC.
Nice, quiet location, convenient for Nec and no narrow roads to access anywhere, its a doddle from the M42.
Really nice, helpful staff, even loaned us a heavy hammer to peg our awning with.
The shower facilities were excellent, they also had private cubicles for wash-hand basins for cleaning your teeth, putting contact lenses in etc.
(the only down side, and I feel it only fair to mention this as it is important to all of us,) is the ladies toilets didnt flush properly, maybe it was just the week we were there.
We had a great few days here and will definitely return to chapel lane soon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We stayed here on our way back from Devon to break the return journey. We had originally booked for Tewkesbury but had to change for obvious reasons. What a great site very spacious and very pretty. So easy to get to from the M42. Will use again next year on our return journey and will certainly consider spending a weekend there sometime.

This site is simply great, We use this site quite a few times during the touring season for short get aways. We only live locally so this site gives us the opportunity to test all of the caravans workings and the awning before traveling too far at the start of our touring season. The site is very green and well laid out.Pitches are very good sized as would be expected for a Caravan Club site, some are grass but the majority are hard standing which we like. The site is ideally situated for the M42 motorway or traveling into Birmingham and the numerous attractions. A good farm shop is located close by that will cater for all needs for those BBQ lovers. There is also a transport museum located next to the site that is supposed to be very good but I have not visited yet!.
Would I visit again?.Yes very soon.

Nicely set out site, very large, mostly hard-standing, pitches. Good heated facilities block. (dish-washing area was a bit small and cramped for the size of site - only 2 sinks.) Separate disabled facilities room. Farm shop and restaurant about 10 mins walk away. The restaurant do a carvery Friday & Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. In the morning they do a variety of breakfasts, but don't expect to need lunch if you indulge! Bus stop outside site to go to Birmingham. Wardens friendly and helpful, quite happy to let us stay until 3pm instead of leaving by noon. Would we go again, yes certainly, if we are heading that way again.

Very well presented site, clean toilet & shower blocks (usual caravan club standards). Ideal if you are just visiting the area and will be out all day but nothing to do for kids if you are looking to stay around the site during the day. There is also no dog walk area.
This site has no shop but does sell gas (although but not after 5pm). There is a farm shop 2 minutes drive 'Becketts Farm' which also does evening meals.
Wardens are extreme sticklers for prompt arrival and departure and do not take kindly to being interrupted after 8pm. If you are going to arrive any later than 8pm sharp then I'm afraid it's the 'late arrivals' area for you! Would use this site again but ONLY for easy access to the NEC.

Used site as a base and visited the NEC. Fairly small site but very clean and tidy. Good sized pitches. Usual Caravan Club high standards. Sainsburys and Tesco stores nearby and a lovely farm shop and restaurant within a short walking distance. Will definitely use this site again.

Feb 2004 Stayed here for just one night as a stop over, it was as you would expect of a CC site, easy access, very clean and tidy, well maintained everywhere. Pitches well laid out and roomy. Not a lot on the site but ideal for visiting Brum and surrounding area. Although it has a quiet country feel it is only a short drive to all the action if you want it. No dog walk, but country lanes nearby. Would visit this site again.
