Visited in Whitsun week 2006. First the negative points 1) Shower block is not up to standard. I found the "power shower" on the last day! 2) Only one chemical disposal point for the toilet and that was not a pleasant experience ! 3) No bins around the site, they give you a bin liner and you have to throw it into a skip. 4) Staff could have been a bit more helpful Positive points 1) Well drained ground, even after a very wet couple of weeks. 2) A pitch where you want policy. 3) The train stops just outside the site, a lot better than trying to park in the local town. They only have about 6 trains a day so the noise is not a problem. 4) The beach is only a matter of 50 metres from the site. The beach is 4 miles long and nearly no people. Also dogs are allowed on most of the beach Would we go again? Yes but only for the beach! Phil

We are glad we judged for ourselves instead of the age old reviews available. The toilets were unbelievably clean. They do however get a bit dirty due to the weather and sand from the beach, but are constantly cleaned. The site as a whole was very good. There is, however, one downside and this is not a fault of the site but the people using it. No-one seems to observe the no ball games on the site, we were constantly having to ask kids to be careful around the cars. All in all a very enjoyable long weekend that we would be happy to re-live. Many thanks.

May 2003 Visited the site for the second time for a long weekend and overall had an ok stay. The kids (3 and 5) liked the play area, but then again they always do - I've seen better and I've seen worse. Site shop stocked all we needed, nice small swimming pool. Beach couldn't really be closer.
Decided to camp elsewhere in the area for our 10 day hol in July largely for one reason - the toilet and shower block is not the best.

April 2003 The showers run at a trickle and where hard to control the temps. The kids play area was fenced off and looked well dodgy and the stink from the overflowing refuge area was very bad. My girls complained about the amount of clorine in the pool with clearly made there eyes red. The rest of the site appeared quite tidy. There is a early morning (6am)wake up call from the train that blasts it horn and stops almost outside the site. The easter weekend we stayed the owner packed the first two fields like putting them in sardine cans! This was strange because there was a big field to the left that was almost empty. On a positive note the site is a stones throw from the beach and the fishing for dogfish is fantastic but no other type of fish where caught while I was there. In summary I feel that the owner should get his wallet out do something about the toilet, shower block and kids play area instead of tarting up some fancy water feature as you drive in!

10-18 aug 02 we have just arrived home from this site and have had a great time the camp itself is very nice and overall a lovely family site- good points:-lovely swimming pool, childrens play area is good, excellent for beach lovers. bad points:- toilet/shower block is basic and could do with updating, no nearby pub within walking distance anyway... and when its windy make sure you pack extra guide lines and pegs as being right by the beach those winds really go wild..!!
