I agree with many of the previous comments regarding the site, facilities and staff, it is a lovely site. My only request would be that the site was more secure especially at the northern end, there were quite a few kids using the site as a shortcut. The village of Mundesley is really nice and has4 pubs/hotels that are dog friendly and serve really good food, a Mace shop/newsagent is only a 5 minute walk from the site with Tesco further down the road. We will visit again.

This is the best site I have ever stayed on. What more can I say. The pitches are large all with superb views of the sea. We didn't need chocs on our pitch but some I suspect would. The shower block is spotless with large cubicles and plenty of hot water. You could walk to the beach down a small hill. Dogs welcome and lovely sand.
This is an adults only and at £23 in July I don't think its overpriced. The local village of Mundesley has a fab butchers Tesco and a few tea rooms. Just perfect. Many thanks to the lovely wardens Pat and Chris what a super job you do. See you for a montb next year.

The first thing to say about this site is that every pitch has fanastic sea views the second is take block chocs and anything you can to get your unit level as it is a kind of rolling hill with nearly every pitch needing something to level you. You chose your pitch and someone comes to collect the money. The site doesn't have a fence all round it so not so secure although we had no problems people do cut through the site to get to the beach including children which may annoy some as this is an adults only site. Its great for dog walkers with a walk along the cliff edge and access directly from the site down a steep hill to the beach. We stayed a week and there is plenty to do and see in the local area

This was our first visit to this part of the world in our caravan, whilst we were there we checked out all the other sites from here up to Sheringham, and this one is the one we will be returning to, for sure. First impressions count for a lot, and being left to pick your own pitch and not given endless instructions on angles, distance from the next van etc like you get on 'club sites' was very refreshing! No gates locked at 11 and they are very relaxed about leaving times particularly when not full. The pitches are very spacious and all have electric and TV hook up so take a TV connector (or you can buy them from the warden). The warden and his wife look after the site very well, but largely leave you alone during your stay, unless you want the, The toilet and shower block is quite new and always spotless. Better than any club site facilities we have seen. The absolute attraction is obviously the views, I would say from any pitch you get a view of the sea, and there is easy access to the long sandy beach. Within walking distance are a small shop, a tesco express, a lovely chinese take away, a pub, club and two hotels open to public, cafe and chip shop. Only about 10 minutes drive to cromer, and if you are an angler, we found 4 lovely coarse fishing locations, one less than 5 minutes away, the furthest about 15 mins. With the help of the guy who runs the bait shop in Cromer). Such a laid back 'grown up' feel about the place very peaceful and convenient for beach or visiting the local towns of Cromer and Sheringham etc. A must do when you are here is to go on the seal trip from Marston, about 20 minutes drive along the coast, very humbling experience to see them in the wild sunbathing or bobbing around in the sea by your boat. We had mixed weather whilst we were there, but didn't experience the high winds some other reviews have noted, I suppose that's the luck of the drawer, so don't let the thought of being blown about put you off! Do take some levelers with you as there are very few 'flat' pitches, most require some degree of leveling, some more than others, but what else would you expect being on the side of a cliff! Give it a visit, its a gem! Better value than club sites, and far more grown up without the need for endless reminders of the 'rules' which everyone manages to adhere to anyway without the need to be nagged!

The site was clean and the view great, this site is right at the top of a very steep cliff and quite a trek to the beach the tarmac road is the only safe way down as the foot path is dangerous and steep. I took a tumble out side the laddies toilets as there is a disabled ramp (that's the only disabled facility this site has) it needs a hand rail I did mention this to the warden. The pitches are not level even with chocks, we pitched up got the awning up and then we were asked to move our camper van around as they did not like the ay we parked it (we didn't move) well not when they asked us but we did the mext day as the wind made us take the awning down. They seem to cram as many campers on as they can so the pitches are not spacious, all in all we will not be going back and there was several others with the same thoughts.

We have visited Sandy Gulls 3 times now and have another 2 visits booked for this summer. The site is about an hours drive from where we live so is handy for weekends away. The site is lovely and has fabulous sea views. Access to the beach which is dog friendly all year round is just a short walk away. Being an adult only site, we have always found it to be nice and quiet even when busy and the facilities are always clean and tidy.
Mundesley itself is just a short walk with a great fish and chip shop and there is a small shop for essentials just down the road.

Just returned from great weekend, cannot recommend this site enough. Situated right on cliff edge with uninterrupted views of sea and sandy beaches to which their is direct access from pitches. Child free and dog friendly with very early arrival times and relaxed attitude to departure times. The shower block should you wish to use it is huge with spacious cubicles and loads of very hot water. There is a choice of grass or hard standing pitches all with electric and tv aerial points, the only trouble we had was connecting to wifi and this could I suppose be because we were at furthest point from the office. The Caravan Club could learn a thing or two from this site!

What a little gem of a site, the pitches are mostly flatish if you pick & choose where you want to set up (which you are allowed to do) but not a problem at all, only gentle slopes. Gorgeous views out to sea and everyone has a seaview, cleverly laid out in staggered steps up.
Close to most places of interest, like wroxham, cromer, thursford etc.
Very peaceful with plenty of space between units. Fair play, it can be a bit of a trek to the showers etc but again, choose your pitch wisely, having said that, the facilities are clean and very adequate with us never having to queue.
One piece of advice is to take a hookup for the ariel, there are connectors on all the posts and you WILL need it for normal tv, could not get a signal at all from the caravan aerial.
On site wifi is a good connection costing £2 per day or £10 per week.
The well stocked Mace shop is only a 5 minute walk, with the Tesco Express being a little further next to a petrol station.
Just be aware that the road from cromer and the road through mundesley can get a little tight with the caravan on the back but the site entrance is good access
All in all, a lovely site that we will return to

We have just returned from just over a week's stay in our folding camper. I had read the reviews about the slope and the wind but to be honest the slope wasn't much of an issue and it did get slightly windy while we were there but what do you expect being on the coast. This is a really lovely peaceful site with great views out to sea. Yes you do get people from the static caravans walking by but they are just walking by! The facilities were a bit of a walk away but very spacious and clean, we never had to queue. The site said it was fully booked but it was explained when booking that they always leave a few pitches free so it doesn't get too crowded. You are free to choose your own pitch. The ice cream van comes round every evening. The beach is not too far away but it is down a slope so be prepared for the walk back up. You can walk into Mundesley along the beach when the tide is out or behind the sea defence. It takes about 25 mins.
We only had Sunday lunch at the Ship Inn but it was very nice, a little expensive but you are on holiday! There is a Tesco Extra down the road not too far away and a Mace store.
All in all we really enjoyed this site and would love to go back some time in the future. The warden was very helpful and the TV socket was an added bonus.
The only negative point I would say is that for some reason we were infested with earwigs, not sure if we were on a nest! It didn't put us off just a bit of a nuisance.
