 My third visit.

This time I used one of the two logpods on the site; more of that shortly. The site is still quiet, well kept, and very beautiful. New - wifi on the camping filed, plus heaters in the toilets to take the chill off them. All very useful!

Ok - logpods. You could be unkind and call them deluxe garden sheds, but they're a great way to extend your camping season. The pod sleeps up to four and features double glazing, two powerpoints, a kettle, a microwave and a small heater. There's quite enough room inside for two adults and a week's worth of clothing and walking/climbing kit.

Much warmer than a tent, and no worries about pitching in the rain or packing a wet tent. There's a good sized porch which was big enough for our camping table, and it gave enough shelter for me to cook outside. It's also handy as a place to put boots, wet coats.

Despite some pretty wet and windy weather, the pod stays much warmer than a tent, and is actually very quiet as well.

The only small drawback are the chairbeds provided are a little thin to sleep on - I used one on top of another for more comfort; I also think a few hanging hooks in the porch might be nice.

Overall, a great way to spend 7 nights away, and thoroughly recommended.

Oh and them managers are stars too - nice to have managers who like their guests and talk to them!

Excellent little find, very helpful pleasant wardens/owners. Well kept site. Great hardstanding areas. Lovely clean toilet blocks etc. Washing machine prices reasonable and dryer prices too cheap compared to a lot of sites.

I would recommend this site to anyone, I have not been in busy times but out of season it is a must, Our friends and us used the site as a base to travel around the wonderful area, we done over 300 miles and will be back to do a lot more.

Brill site, well done. We had a great peaceful time.

The cheapest site that we have had the pleasure to stay on, £16.00/night including electric. Very friendly and helpful owners. Only 1 toilet block which may be a problem if the site was very busy but on our visit was not a problem.

Access to river for fishing or walking direct from site.

Had a lovely meal at hotel at the top of the site entrance/road.

Small well stocked shop in village for essentials.

The perfect place to chill and relax!

Visited in Mx5 and tent on grand tour up to Skye. Brilliant site, great facilities. Quiet and peaceful even in mid August. Toilet blocks kept immaculate, even a J cloth by each sink so you can use it to mop up after a wash. Laundry room plus drying room to leave towels etc to dry overnight. Facilities are a short walk from camping field but steps are illuminated at night so no problem. Roy Bridge hotel does great fish and chips which you can eat under covered canopies outside. Although it is right by the river there were only a few 'little Scottish friends' midges to us. Great site for a day trip to Mallaig, and calling at Fort William on way back to site for shopping (Aldi and Morrisons incl petrol) Thoroughly recommend and want to visit again.

Having been a camper for a long time, unfortunately our week's holiday was forecast to be pretty wet and with a toddler in tow, we decided to go 'glamping' instead in the lopgpod at Bunroy.

The site was in a very pretty location and my little boy loved his adventures along the riverbank. The owners were very friendly and there was a good selction of books and games to borrow.

The showers and toilets were 5 * - very clean and well maintained. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer and also a drying room for wet jackets, boots etc. At £2. 50 I thought the washing machine was a little expensive but then I don't normally use them on campsites so don't know how this compares.

The logpod itself was very comfortable and good value for money. It was really handy having a microwave and kettle. The heater was adequate although the owner herself recognised that because it was near the door, when you went in or out you did lose a bit of heat but it soon warmed up again.

There is a train station nearby which you can take to mallaig / fort william and the village is a short walk away with a small shop for essentials.

Whatever you do avoid the Stronlossit inn at the top of the road. The staff were extremely rude to us when we ventured in looking to have some food and drinks due to having a buggy with us (I get the feeling they don't like children). I was quite upset but I didn't let it ruin our break as I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the campsite and intend to return.

Second time I've stayed at this site and on both occasions the stay has been great. The site is set about 1/4 mile of the main road so there is no traffic noise. The shower & toilet facilities are always clean and well looked after. At this time of year the site is quiet and peaceful. The new owners are very friendly and happy to give advice on things to do locally. There are 2 pubs within 5-10 mins from the site which both do food. The Roy Bridge Hotel, which is the cheaper of the 2, and the Stronlossit Inn (nearest) which has a good selection of bitters and very nice food. The local shop is well stocked and is within easy walking distance of the site. The surrounding area has plenty to offer (whether you're a cyclist or walker) and there is a very good selection of local tourist information in the main reception. There is easy access to walks along the local river that runs past the site. Looking forward to going back this year.

Me and my partner decided quite last minute that we wanted to take a trip to Scotland. We rang loads of different places and got prices but they were all over £300.

We rang Bunroy and were quoted less thank £200. We went and when we arrived we were in a lovely lodge. The staff were absolutely amazing. We ended up buying them a bottle of Whiskey and a box of chocolates to say thank you.

We arrived early and they still let us in and they let us leave late as we did all the travelling through the night.

I am still in contact with the staff and as soon as I have the money I will be returning to Bunroy, hopefully for longer.

Bunroy was an excellent campsite, a perfect base for visiting the highlands. The facilities were good, liked the fridge/freezer for campers use and the showers were powerful which is nice after a hard days walking, local area was nice - pub/shop/train station all very close by. Beautiful position by the river. Courteous and helpful staff. A thumbs up all round, just wish I lived in the highlands

My second visit to this site. It's with new owners/managers, but it's still excellent.

The midge eating machines around the site seemed to work pretty well as the weather had some damp still days that encourage the little beggers to appear.

Not much else has changed - it's clean, tidy, well looked after and quiet. The new owners are really friendly and are often to be seen around the site keeping it spick and span.

The Stronlossit is the nearest boozer, and is still a good pub - the beer's great and the owners there are friendly. Not the cheapest place to eat to be fair but the quality is very high, and makes a great change from eating beans with daddy longlegs in them. The best bit is it's an easy 5 minute downhill roll after you've left to get back to your tent. Views from the little beer garden take in the Grey Corries - what more do you want?!?!?

The local shop in the village is run by a very pleasant lady who always has time for a natter, and you could manage to survive for a few days shopping there to be fair - as village shops go, it's got a lot to offer so do pop in if you can, and support local businesses rather than hypermarkets.

Even though the Scottish schools had broken up, the site was quiet enough, and there was plenty of space - you never felt like you had neighbours. Only on our last night did we come back to find a tent right next to ours - even though the riverside field was otherwise empty. Not the owner's fault, but it always baffles me why some folk want to be right next to another tent!

All I can really say is that it's an excellent site, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a nice quiet stay on a very beautiful site with good amenities.

Our second visit to this excellent site, a little outside Fort William but worth the drive. Train station and two hotels with restaurants and bar food within 10 mins walk. Site facilities very clean and all campers maintain these standards.

Hot showers great you choose the temp and no timer switch. Plug in ladies to use for hairdryer etc. Laundry has large commercial washer and dryer and iron and iron baord, also fridge freezer for tents to use (freezer ice packs only). Owners will charge phone and camera batteries for those not on EHU.

Owners very friendly and helpful, reception full of tourist information. Lovely walks and the river at the botton of the site. We were on the lower level with EHU these are all hard standing level large sites.

Despite it being end of July did'nt have any problem with midges. Out of four sites we stayed on in our 8 days in Scotland this was the cheapest and was the best site.
