Beautiful site. Very clean & tidy.
Hot showers & clean toilets.
Hotel off site not dog friendly.
Central for walking & cycling. Great mountain bike rides at Ben Nevis centre. Cable cars were open & rode to top, breath taking views.
Local shop good, very friendly.
Strongly recommend this site.
Wonderful walk from site along river, climbing rocks & paddling, great for kids.

Really warm and friendly greeting by staff. Very pretty campsite. Toilet facilities are superb although the showers have half doors - they are short by about 18 inches from the floor and ceiling. Although you can't see anything, it felt a little too exposed and draughty
There are some beautiful woodland walks right on your doorstep, a village store is at the top of the track. There's a scenic river running right along the site, full of fish.
When we arrived (a sunny warm September lunchtime) the warden told us that it had been freezing the previous night. Apparently one camper had slept in a sleeping bag with a duvet over the top - the duvet had ice on it first thing in the morning.
Every single window in the shower/loo block was wide open - it was freezing, despite the sunny weather. So an hour before I was due to take my shower I went over there and closed them (i had quite a head cold and didn't want it getting any worse). When I was waiting to take my shower, the warden came along and opened them all again. I told her I had a cold and was about to shower - she said they HAD to remain open as it steams up - not impressed. It wouldn't have hurt for 10 minutes.

This is a very nice and quiet site, toilet block is very clean and well looked after. It also has a freezer you can use to put your freezer blocks in, which we found very useful. The Stronlossit inn at the top of the lane is very friendly and serves great food

Very nice peaceful caravan site, friendly owners who were most helpful. Very strict with quiteness after 11 pm having been told about talking in our awning as the noise carries. I understand the site is known for its reputation as being quiet but I feel they are a little too strict. Local shop sells everything, food available at top of campsite if you want to eat out and railway station just along path if you want to travel anywhere. Overall enjoyed our stay but go prepared for the midges, they are inundated with them at this time of year till September

Having visited this site just recently we were all pleased at the onsite facilities on how clean the toilets and the showers were. The weather was brilliant, and the grassy area were you camped was fab, the ground nice and level will visit again. The only thing we were annoyed at was the owners attitude to us, okay we did make a bit of noise on the first night but who doesnt but how do you keep kids who were very excited in camping as it was their first time. We found him very abrupt towards us and his attitude could have been a bit nicer even after we apologised many times to him but we didn't let it spoil things for us.

Looks like the site has not changed. I first went to this site in 2000 when we stayed in one of the chalets over Christmas.
The staff are wonderful and unobtrusive. The toilet/shower block was always clean and tidy (even for that time of the year). Laundry facilities on hand but the dryer was slow then. No midgies on the first trip and a few on the second.
Sadly, am now a wheelchair user and don't think I could cope with the steep hill. Still, might try again this year as I was very impressed by the layout.
Great couple of pubs/restuarants in the area as well as at Spean Bridge just up the road. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a 'cheap' site close to Fort William and within striking distance of Skye, Kyle and Inverness.

Site is easy to find but approached by a single track road over a narrow railway bridge and needs careful driving when towing a caravan.
Reception staff friendly and helpful and as quiet and out of season we had the choice of pitches, hard standing next to the toilet/shower block or on the grass further away. We chose the hard standing for the convenience of popping for a quick shower! Site very very quiet and peaceful, ideal for our first holiday away without the children.
The showers/toilets clean and water hot. Nothing but an owl disturbed our sleep at night. Whilst close to the local single track railway its not a busy line and we perhaps only heard a couple of trains in the distance once or twice over the few days we were here. Nothing to bother you at all.
We visited the Stronlossit Inn at the top of the road and found a friendly welcome in pleasant surroundings and a good meal. However a short drive away on the A82 (Inverness road) just after Spean Bridge is the Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel, stunning views over Loch Lochhy from their outside decking, wonderful lounge with full views of the Loch and mountains and an outstanding meal for a very reasonable price. We went twice!
From the site we travelled as far as Portree on the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness and took the Jacobite steam train to Mallaig (otter and seals in the harbour). Then back to this lovely quiet site for an excellent nights sleep. 10/10

Excellent site.
Need to take your time on approaching it as it is over a narrow railway bridge but in a lovely peaceful setting down by the river. Pub/shop within walking distance. Good walks in the wood nearby for the dog. All facilities very good and a warm welcome on arrival.

Beautifully set campsite with extremely clean facilities. Well worth a visit and staff were extremely helpful. Only downfall is the midges! But they sell skin so soft on site which is a bonus. Will certainly be visiting again if down that area.

This is a lovely site & very good value for money. Site facilities are well maintained & very clean, owners were very helpful & nice. One problem I did notice was after it rained the ground got very water logged in places. I did enjoy my first trip to Scotland & would stay here again.
