We visited Home Farm in August for 4 nights over the bank holiday.

Access to the site was brilliant, just off the main road. The facilities have recently been updated so everything felt clean and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Because of the time of year the site was full, mainly with families so there were a lot of kids about. It's a big site and although it was busy, we never had to queue at the (superb) shower/toilet blocks.

There was a large children's play area and I believe a good dog walk (though we never used them).

Everywhere was clean and tidy and you felt you had good value for money.

Nearby Moelfre is a lovely little village with a few shops, cafes, a pub and lovely (yet busy) coastal walk.

On a personal note, the site was just a bit too big and busy for us, we prefer smaller places. But that is just personal opinion and although we probably won't visit again, we would definitely recommend it as the whole site was spot-on.

Just returned from a great holiday in Anglesey based at Home Farm. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't particularly great, but the campsite's facilities meant that being on site in wet weather with 3 small children wasn't too much of a chore!

There is an excellent playground, football pitch and lots of outside areas to play. There is also an indoor play area open from 9-12 and 5-8 with a climbing frame type area, 2 pool tables and a TV plus colouring, magazines etc.

The site is very well maintained, lovely lavender bushes right by our pitch! We were non-EHU and had a superb, large pitch near the entrance with views over neighbouring fields and a glimpse of the sea.

The owners were very helpful, I overheard them explaining to other guests about surrounding attractions etc.

The site allows bikes but no scooters - worth a mention as we brought all 3 scooters for our young children!

Lovely caravan site, its now one of our favourites.

Firstly access, couldn’t be better. We looked at the website and I was a little worried about getting there, however follow the website directions, and the site is straight off the A5025. You will probably never get a site nearer to an A road.

Reception is very welcoming and we were soon setting up. The pitch we were allocated (23) was on a bit of a slope but after a bit of adjusting we were fine.

The washrooms are immaculate and well maintained.

The dog walk is the best I have ever experienced since taking up caravanning.

The shop is well stocked and has long opening hours. You can order a paper and pick it up from 9am.

The site is very close to several beaches and our favourite was Benllech where we were allowed to take the dog. The café sells outstanding doughnuts and coffee too.

Eating out we visited the Kinmel at Moelfre which is only five minutes from the site. Service is not very quick but the food is excellent.

On the site we sampled the fish and chips from ‘Fryers on Tyres’ who come on a Saturday evening. Not expensive, freshly cooked too.

Big question would I go again? Most certainly but I would take some blocks to make sure I could level up better and quicker.

After two ‘iffy’ sites this site restored my faith in caravanning!

We loved it so much I'm back to book another holiday. Lovely site, clean well kept. Owners couldn't be more helpful. Facilities were excellent esp children's play area.

Also toilets and showers were very clean which was a big worry of mine being a novice to camping. Only problems I can find are that our pitch was right next to the road and the toilet block so we found it quite difficult getting our 2year old to sleep due to noise.

Also there is nothing within walking distance so it is necessary to drive from place to place. That said we will definitely return soon.

What a fantastic site, wardens very friendly, facilities excellent. If you want a holiday here book well in advance as it is always fully booked, we were lucky to get on, tried for the next bank holiday end of may not a chance.

Would definitely recommend this site superb. Did not have any children with us but friends of ours did and they said that the play area was great.

Asda not far away in llangefni so don't need to stock up before you go. Had fish and chips from the jolly fryer in benlech, my hubby said the fish was lovely, had to queue though. The other chip shop higher up seemed to be empty, so this one must be better.

We were on a hardstanding pitch, could not fault it for size. Will definitely go back to this site before the end of the summer if we can manage to get a pitch.

Visited late September with a tent this time and so glad I did.

Went with a friend and his little boy of 3 and took along my little terror of 2 years old and they had a wonderful time.

Even though we had 2 tents we were only charged for 1 and it appears as though we were the only ones brave enough to camp at this time of year.

What does make a difference with this site though is getting the weather. We were able to walk to the local pub on the night and then the next day take the kids to the beach all in glorious sunshine.

You really do need to use your car if staying longer though as there isnt that much nearby.

In summary again, excellent facilities, lovely/friendly staff, a shop which stocks the essentials and an indoor and outdoor play area for the kids. I so wish the place did seasonal pitches so I could take my caravan there, never mind the only one downside.

Clean facilities. Never queued for a shower even though site was packed - think this is due to the number of statics and caravans (rather than tents) on the site.

Some pitches better protected from the wind than others. Some pitches on our field, (MB), were extremely boggy, but the weather was pretty dire. Would recommend MB4 - big pitch, sheltered and excellent draingage - our pitch was bone dry while others on the same field were pitching in mud.

Great little shop on site. Friendly owners. Playground and indoor play area were fantastic.

Some of the older kids (maybe teenage) were quite noisy after dark on the larger play field, shouting loudly until gone 11 one night. Bit inconsiderate maybe - but their parents are probably at fault rather than the kids.

Was woken early on two mornings by a great spotted woodpecker. Heard owls hooting madly at night.

Great site. Good location. Would stop again.

We arrived on Anglesey after an easy drive from Chester and pulled onto Home Farm Caravan Park. The site has a mixture of touring, static and lodges. There is a long, well maintained drive way edged with ranch fencing leading upto the site which is protected by security barriers. There is a small area for campers who arrive after 8pm.

Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome, paid our £10 refundable deposit for the fob which operated the security barrier and directed to our pitch - hardstanding with a small grassed area bordered by flowers and large grassed area behind where there were excellent uninterrupted sea views.

We set up on an almost perfectly flat pitch. One recommendation would be to bring strong awning or tent pegs as the ground is hard and other campers seemed to struggle. That said the shop does sell the heavy pegs and also offers some caravan spares. It also has a small selection with newspapers, fresh locally baked bread and rolls, groceries, sweeties, ice creams, pocket money toys, milk. There is a cool pack freezing service for campers and a book and DVD lending library with money going to local charities.

A fish and chip van visits the site every Wednesday and the fresh fish van arrives

The facilities are immaculate and the lower shower rooms have piped music. These are closed each day to allow and thorough cleaning.

The whole site is well looked after and the wardens are very helpful. The warden tows caravans on and off pitches if you feel hesitant about reversing - all at no extra charge but always with a smile.

Ligwy Beach is a short drive or bike ride away and the whole family including the dogs had some fun days playing on the golden sands. You need to pay for parking but there are toilets, and a couple of 'kiosks' selling drinks, food etc.

Benllech is 2.5 miles away and has a small Co-op with prices similar to the Asda in Langefni, Spa Shop and Cost Cutter. There is a Chinese Take Away and Jolly Fryer along with a few small shops including Petrol Station, Pharmacy, Old Fashioned Butcher.

We had to use the Doctors' Surgery and hats off to them for the excellent service we received there and in the Rowlands Pharmacy.

Being there a fortnight, we chose to stay on site a few days to allow the children to play in the children's playground or ride around on their bikes in complete safety. This also gave time for laundry - there are two industrial sized washers, one industrial size dryer, sink for hand washing and a spinner.

There are tennis courts, football pitch and a smaller area for cricket. We were able to fly kites and exercise our dogs in the huge field which is part of the dog walk.

A lot of places we visited allow dogs on a lead which made our holiday more enjoyable.

I would and have recommended this site to friends and we will be returning as soon as we can.

Friendly welcome and very helpful staff.

We are virtually first time caravanners to pitching and towing but they helped us to unhitch and then made sure we were properly hitched when going.

The site is immaculate and the showers and toilets were spotless each time.

The shop is great for the essentials but also has some souvenirs for the children, the prices were also very reasonable.

There is a barrier on entry and exit which keeps things secure and the entrance to the site is wide and has easy access roads.

Unless your willing to do some hiking you really need a car especially in this part of Anglesey.

It has some great beaches nearby but if the weathers bad you need to be prepared to travel far to find something to do.

The outdoor play area isnt large but kept my 2 year old busy enough as it has the essentials of a swing, large slide and see saw. The indoor play area is great and has a small adventure castle with a slide. There is also a selection of books, 2 pool tables and an indoor football table. This shuts at 8 along with the shop during the summer months.

We used the laundrette a couple of times and found it very good. Also the 'fryers on tyres' which called on a Wednesday while we were there serves lovely fish.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site and I'm looking forward to booking again with my tent for September.

Exceptional site for families. Cannot recommend it highly enough - beautifully maintained, spacious pitches, friendly staff. Local beach at Ligwy gorgeous, but beware the jellyfish!

Toilet block warm & showers hot. Family room very pleasant - but book time slot in advance as it is very popular. Everyone had a great time - met families there who go back year after year. We were in Anglesey for 1 week and we barely scratched the surface - loads to see & do. Site is remote from nearest town - approx 5-10 mins drive but don't let it put you off. Final word of advice - don't go to the local chip shop in Moefre - £17 for 3xfish & chips & they were disgusting!
