Just returned from a week in Angelsey. Never been before and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately the weather didn't play the game this year and we left 3 days early (never done that ever before!) The local area had lots in it - the beaches are clean and lovely and there are plenty of other attractions to keep the family amused. Check out the leisure centre in Almwich - basic, but some great activities for children all through the summer holiday. Snowdonia is only half an hour away, which is of course beautiful.
The site is great. Very well maintained - the toilet block is superb, with hot running water and no annoying taps that turn off half way through getting wet - either in the shower or the basin. Also, hallelujah - showers that have an adjustable temperature - at last a site that know what people want!
The indoor playground was a welcome distraction for the children (ours are 6 & 8) and the outdoor playground was also well used. It was lovely to be able to have some immediate walks on the site, although we couldn't use them as much as we'd have liked due to rain. The shop was open all day, which was useful, and although well stocked, it was over-priced, but not unexpected on a campsite.
If you're in a tent, do not pitch on number MU11 - no protection from weather at all on any side and this was a major problem, which was (I will add) resolved by the owners for us. Also, children used this pitch and the next one as a kind of roundabout for running round and this was frankly quite annoying, especially after 9pm!
All in all, a lovely location and a good site. You'll enjoy it - if you can stand the weather in North Wales!

Fantastic site.
Arrived on a wet Friday night, very helpful staff swapped us to a hard standing close to play area. Indoor play area was great - well used by all the kids on site. Sun came out on the Sunday - loads to do locally.
Toilets were spotless with plenty of hot water.
Shop was well stocked with most things that you would need (fresh bread, milk, eggs etc).
Definitely go again, but I can imagine you need to book in advance for bank holidays and summer.

If you are thinking of staying on Anglesey, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the site for you.
If I had to be picky, the outside play area is a little small, but our 4 year old loved it nevertheless.
Like all the other reviews, the toilets were spottless, and cleaned on a regular basis during the day.
There is nothing else to say, apart from dont book when we next plan to go, because I`ll be very dissapointed if I cant get a pitch !

Stayed on this very welcoming camp site in July and as you drive down the road to reception you are already impressed with the well maintained site, we were able to choose a pitch which suited us and what was left. Everyone seemed to be very friendly and welcoming.
The Toliets and Showers are the best ive seen in a campsite, spotless and modern. There was even sinks with hot water to wash your dishes which was well kept too.
There's also a tennis court and a walk path round the site if you wanted to go for a stroll.
Highly recommended site for everyone. 5* facilities.

FAULTLESS - we are a family of 2 adults + 2 Children (7 + 13) This site is always immaculate in every sense. The toilet/shower facilities set the standard for space, practicality and cleanliness. The pitches are well tended in landscaped setting. The small shop is well stocked and attended by very friendly staff. There is an indoor & outdoor play area and a tennis court. In our many years of camping home and abroad this is by far the best cared for campsite we have stayed on.

Can only repeat what other people have said. Facilities spotlessly clean whatever time of day or night you visit. Showers always hot. Pitches well spaced out and the site is really well maintained. Will definitely visit again. This is an excellent site.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights in July, we were very impressed with everything, the showers and toilets were clean. (and we only went in the old block) The indoor play area had a very impressive layout for such a small area. The outdoor play area was very nice, the shop was well stocked, (but be warned it didn't sell alcohol, not that I need it of course) the staff were very friendly. It's a very relaxing true campsite, you cook your own food and make your own entertainment, we didn't want to leave and now have the difficult task of finding something similar elsewhere. I just hope they never turn it into one of those large commercial sites.

2 adults, 2 children (3 and 1). This site is a fantastic family site. Spotless toilets and showers. Perfect little children's bath for my shower-phobic pair! We were sited opposite childrens' playground which was great but this was very near the entrance too so not completely relaxing. 5 minutes from Benllech beach which is great. Beaumaris is a fully day out, castle, playground, little crabbing pier etc. Lots and lots to do on the actual Isle of Anglesey. Go. Enjoy!

We visited a number of the recommended sites on this forum in Anglesey before plumping for Home Farm. All we can say is do not bother looking at any other sites this one is with the *Best of British* sites and we can assure it lives up to all the awards, star ratings and members comments. What's to like: 1, The staff were lovely. Friendly and welcoming. The owner was having her lunch when we arrived so she gave us a little map of all the vacant pitches (with a couple of recommendations) told us to pick out which one we wanted and pay her later, We were also to need a jump start later when our battery went flat. No problem. Always willing to give advice. 2. The site is well laid out and divided into different areas most of which are shared and mixed caravans and tents. 3. Very clean and nice gardens. 4. Superb. Clean and modern toilet/shower facilities with free hot water. 5. Small shop, indoor play area for younger kids, outdoor play area and football field. What;s not to like: 1. The outside of the tent was soaked with dew in the morning. You would think a site as good as this would have thought of some way of drying your tent for you before you got up. 2. The dawn chorus from the birds. Do not bother looking anywhere else on Anglesey go to Home Farm.

FANTASTIC! Went here with family for a week at the end of May. Great site, clean facilities. We had a lovely pitch nice and quiet, slightly away from the outdoor play area which was a bit noisy until about 11pm. The children loved it. Friendly owners and really helpful. LLigwy beach two miles down the road well worth a visit, as is Church Bay on the other side of the Island. Have already booked to go back for another week in August. Just hope the owl(s) are a bit quieter woke us all up at 4am one of the mornings. But there was something quite magical about lying in my sleeping bag listening to them. Only down side was the weather but you can't have everything. Although we didn't expect hail stones in May. !
