We have just returned from 2 days at Home Farm and we were given MU11 which is EHU ( even though we had booked non EHU ). As with previous posters yes we found the pitch to be extremely windy especially on the 2nd night which resulted in about 3 hours sleep. However the tent stayed upright.
The park is lovely and clean and very well landscaped and is split into smaller areas. There are 2 toilet blocks with hot free showers and a hair dryer in each block. There is also a family room you can book out for 30 mins from 3pm till 8pm for £1 which has a bath in it. The toilets were always spotless and there is cloths for you to use in the pot wash area.
Our children seemed to enjoy the indoor play area and there is also a large field for ball games.
Found this to be a very friendly site and we would return but not on pitch MU11. Site perfect for exploring Anglesey and Benllech beach is family friendly plus the butterfly place was good. We spent about 4 hours there for around £20.

Great family site.
Warm welcome and the clear, easy to read map was a bonus.
Non EHU pitch was one of the best on the site as they are tucked away at the bottom of the terraced slope and gave us near perfect protection from the strong winds that battered the site for several days during our stay.
In and outdoor play areas were a big success with the children.
On site shop stocked the basics, and the weekly chip and chip van gave me a night off cooking!
Facilities were spotless, with a plentiful supply of hot water. If they could supply a small step near the sinks it would be really helpful for small children trying to reach the taps.
I'm sure we will return here.

Arrived in strong wind to a warm welcome from staff. Our pitch which had ehu was in top field and the field funnelled the wind to our pitch so where most of campsite was in relative calm we were challenged to an interesting hour pitching our tent.
The campsite is set out in a very ordered and pleasant way with lots of hardstanding caravan pitches and grass tent pitches. A map directed us to our field and it was easy to find the numbered pitch. The site was very neat and ordered with well tended planted areas. The entrance had a barrier for security with a pass issued at reception.
We went over a long weekend and this site is very family orientated (which is fine as we have our own) but as we were near the playing field the kids playing until 11 at night and up again at 7 in the morning was annoying, there seemed to be no rules on no noise after 10, if there were they were not enforced but having said that after the weekend it quietened down. If you have children there are play areas and a field and there was also a dog walking area.
The toilet block was modern, clean and never too busy. The shop stocked most essentials and there is a good laundrette.
The site is a good walk to nearest pub so be prepared to have a hike or take a none drinking driver on your trip. The pubs and cafes we visited were a good standard and very welcoming.
The island of Anglesey had some beautiful beaches and towns. We enjoyed some sea fishing and hiking. May be limited in poor weather but fine for us.

I have been to this site a couple of times now and the site and staff are excellent. On this last visit we had pitch 13, although the location was perfect (sheltered from the wind and in a good sun spot) when it came to pegging out the tent it was a nightmare. How my rubber hammer didn`t end up in someones caravan I`ll never know. Everytime I hammered a peg in I hit solid rock/brick and no matter how many times I repositioned the peg it was no use. It put at least an extra 45 minutes on setting up (very stressful) so my advise is to avoid this pitch number unless you have the patience of a saint.
The toilet blocks are very clean and warm with good size showers.
The shop is small and basic but does the job.
A large field with football pitch keeps the kids happy when flying kites or playing football and prevents any arguments about balls hitting cars next to tents.
There is also a small playpark for the younger kids and a tennis court to work off all that vino.
There is only one pub within walking distance (approx 15/20 minutes walk.
Unfortunately Anglesey is short on things to do for children but has beautiful sandy beaches and bays accompanied with traditional pubs (Try the Ship Inn Red Warf Bay. Excellent beer and food),

Been here many times. Keep coming back.
Site in excellent condition. Approach welcoming.
Easy to find. Wardens very helpful, very friendly and always willing to help. Showers, toilets always kept to the highest standard. Play area well situated and very well monitored especially at night time when it is time for campers to have a bit of quiet. Shop well stocked.
It is so nice to just to sit outside my van in front of a bbq with a glass or two of wine watching the children play freely and safely with no noise from any club house on site.
Very close to sea and eating houses with a good bus service.Good barrier system installed this year. Even get fish van coming round every Thursday with local fish.

Went to this site last year , and if it hasn't changed it's well worth a visit. The pitches are fantastic and so are the toilets and showers .The staff were very helpful. I would say this is one of the best sites that we have been to, I couldn't really fault it in any way and even the weather was good!

Beautiful site. Absolutely spotless! We stayed here for a week. The children loved both the indoor play area and the park. Both areas are quite small but still seem to keep the children amused. All grounds are beautifuly maintained and pitches are flat. Toilet blocks are nearby most pitches. Blocks are clean only downside was tended to have to queue for shower as I think there were 2 in one block and perhaps 3 in the other. Still, had a great time, hope to go back soon!

Have to say that this is the friendliest site that we have visited. The wardens are so helpful and accommodating in every way. Have now stayed on several occasions and always enjoyed. The only downside is that the shower block can sometimes not be very warm, and maybe this site could do with more shower facilities for peak times.
For foodies on the isle you have to visit The Lobster Pot at Church Bay which is a fantastic treat for Lobster and shellfish eaters, it is such a quirky little restaurant, like stepping back in time.
Home Farm is a great site, and even greater when it is off peak season.

We have recently returned from Home Farm, and yes we stayed on MU11. To be honest we did not suffer the winds the person in the previous review had, but the pitch was flat with a tall hedge to one side, so not completely open at all. There were other pitches which had better protection from the wind, but all were better than pitching in an open field.
Facilities were fantastic, very clean with J-Cloths provided on the side of the sinks to wipe them down before you put your towel or other things down. There were also screened off areas in both the ladies and men’s if you wanted some more privacy to wash or if you have small children with you. Hairdryers were also provided and these together with the showers were free.
The indoor play area was great for the kids when it was wet.
Fresh Fish comes in on a Thursday evening and there was free Mackerel for everyone. The shop stocks fresh milk and a few other provisions but you would need to go to Benlech for a greater supply, only 10 minutes away in the car.
You pay a little more for staying here but you get what you pay for. I certainly have no complaints about this very well run, well organised, secure and clean site. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would happily stay on MU11 again.
Thank you Home Farm for a lovely stay.

Had a really nice stay at this campsite.
Anyone will know that Anglesey is the windy corner of Wales, and the wind really does pick up, however we were lucky and had a lovely weekend.
The toilets are immaculate with piped music, a novelty at the time, and the shop was good.
Had tennis courts and a children's play area which was well maintained.
Lots of nice places to visit on Anglesey, we walked to the harbour nearby, took about an hour probably, and had a nice beer in the pub with its panoramic views out to sea.
We were pitched on the overflow pitches I believe, which are on the right as you go in, had no problem here, we were pitched in a row of about 6 pitches, all with ehu
Will definitely visit here again.
