Very large site, very laid back which we like, sign saying Pitch up and we will see you later! Owner came round each evening. Enjoyed our 2 night stay.
We camped near the boundary to a golf club and had a couple of balls come over though. So beware! Only had two showers which were clean and hot and were very good but plenty of toilets and wash up facilities. Freezer for packs if needed.
Nice pub within walking distance and a lovely old pub a short drive down the lane. Short drive to Woodbridge where there are lots of shops and bars.
Excellent value for money but if you like organised and lots of facilities this is not for you

Had a lovely long weekend here. Large flat site with some hedged off pitches, some (with hookups) in rows and then some further from the amenities which might not be in a campsite at all as they are amongst the trees and gorse. No open fires but we had an outdoor stove and nobody minded that.
Facilities perfectly good but we are not that fussy. Owner friendly and helpful. Waldringfield is an idyllic cycle ride away with a great pub (the Maybush) with excellent food and beer.
It looks over the Deben estuary where there is sailing and crabbing and messing about on a small beach to keep the kids amused. No shop but we came prepared and one of the houses in the village had fresh produce and jams - perfect.
We also spent a day at Felixstowe Ferry - more crabbing and a nice cafe.

We were disappointed with this site considering the previous good reviews. The campsite is in a good location - easily accessible from the A12 and a good area for days out. Also there is a good pub within walking distance (approx 1 mile).
The campsite itself was fairly quite although there were some groups on the site and loud music playing until around midnight one night. The thing that lets this site down is the lack of cleanliness in the showers & toilets - even though the facilities are quite dated there is no excuse for them not being clean.
Also there was no soap most of the weekend in any of the toilets - there was some in a shower cubicle but I threw it away because it had loads of dead insects in the bottom and had obviously been refilled time and time again.
It wouldn't take much for this to be a great little site

This was a great camp site with plenty of space and a perfect location for all the things we wanted to do (i.E. Sutton Hoo, Felixstowe, Colchester, etc).
When we first arrived, although we approved of the pitch first rule, as the electrical hook ups weren't always clear, we accidentally set up in one. Saying that though, the owner didn't seem to mind as when we arrived the site was very very quiet.
The facilities were basic but good, the showers in themselves were brilliant, lovely and hot, but when it got busier towards the end of the week, I'm guessing you may have had to queue. Luckily, we're early risers and managed to avoid the rush!
All in all, this is a great camp site with plenty of space and peace and quiet. The only thing that spoiled it was all the rain!

The site is big and has a very friendly and laid back attitude. We were told we could arrive at any time as long at not too early, and that there wasn't a leave time! as long as gone before sleep time!
There are lovely big shower rooms (family size) and enough toilets.
When we arrived we were welcomed and told that we could choose any hook up. We were given a lot of time to set up before the lady came to see us.
The children could play any games they wanted as there is no 'no ball games' rules. This was lovely as it led to a football game that lasted a couple of hours with other like minded families.
They are dog friendly as long as on a lead.
The prices are great and we plan to go for another long weekend before school starts.
The site is only a short car drive to tesco and is located just off the A12, but you cant hear the traffic on the site.

Just got back from a great weekend at Low Farm. Camping as it should be. Obviously the glorious weather helped, but this site was a fantastic find and we will definitely be becoming regulars.
The site itself is large and open, but continues on past some hedged areas if you want somewhere a bit more secluded. The 'Pitch up, we'll see you later' approach is most welcome. The facilities are more than adequate, showers are large family sized and most importantly hot and free! If you want one at around 10am on a Saturday, or other peak times, expect to queue as there are only 3, but if you are flexible its not a problem.
Location is great; off the beaten track in a lovely riverside village; but just a 10 minute drive back to the real world and Tesco! Two great pubs, The Maybush (Waldringfield) and The Fox Inn (Newbourne), within cycling distance and a scenic route to beaches at Felixstow or town of Woodbridge.
No play area, but so much open space - safe for children to run around and play games. Great value for money, nice to see a campsite that hasn't taken the opportunity to over inflate it's prices with the sudden growth in camping popularity.

Stayed at low farm for 7 nights the first week of august the weather was fantastic for the whole week.
The campsite itself is very nice with lots of pitches. There is a toilet block with 2 cubicles(gents) with a tap and bins nearby. There are 2 shower / toilet rooms near the entrance which were nice with plenty of hot water.
Camp site is pretty vast so plenty of room, lovely and quiet at night. The location is good being 7 miles out of ipswich and near to the a14 and a12.
We had dinner at the maybush inn in waldringfield which was excellent if a little on the dear side but hey your on holiday. There is both a tesco and sainbury within 10 mins drive also. The owner is also nice making her checks both morning and evening to make sure everything is okay. Would definitely go back - kids enjoyed it also just running around with the other kids (we enjoyed it as there was no games room on site for them to pester us for £1 coins!)

Just got back from this site, and it was fantastic, three shower blocks but ideal for the amount of people who came to the site. It is very basic, but well worth the money, if you just want peace and quiet
Only 10 minutes away from tescos etc. The pitches were very large and there was only us and a caravan, in one part of the field, with electric hook up up as well
Will definitely be going back again to this site,

Quiet, non-commercial site in a lovely area. Facilities somewhat limited with just two showers - but they were both in their own buildings - more of a bathroom than shower - with toilet, sink, plug for hairdryer - and shelf for your toiletries in front of big mirror. One shower, when we was there, was not as nice as the other - but the one we used was very nice indeed - only small problem was that the downpipe to the sink leaked, leaving the floor soaked by the time I had finished cleaning my teeth!
Toilet block was nicely equipped with ample supply of soft toilet tissue - even had a box of nappy bags on each of the 4 toilets in the ladies block, don't know about gents. Floors tended to be a bit grubby - grass being walked in and out and kids dropping loo roll etc whilst we were there. Even straight after being cleaned the grass was still everywhere - but think it was a bit of thankless task.
Fresh free range eggs on sale from one of the caravans on-site - £1 for 6 - these were lovely.
Only one washing up area which we did have to queue for briefly, but not too long as it was relatively quiet whilst we were there - but could imagine it being an issue on busier weekends. Did have a freezer in the room though for guests to use - which we found handy for making our freezer blocks cold - and for chilling our drinks at the end of the day - albeit under regular supervision ;-)
All in all a very quiet site when we visited, not much to do, no shop, no bar etc - but loads of space for the kids to play if you should go as a family.
There is a pub called the Maybush which we clocked as being 0.7 miles up the road if you turn left out of the campsite and follow the road round to the right. Was a bit expensive compared to what we are used to - at £3.10 a pint for Carlsberg and around £10 for any food - I had Lasagne for £9.50 and have to admit you could tell the quality of the meat used for the price - but didnt make for cheap pub meals if you are used to cheaper prices like ourselves. Scenery and pub itself were very very nice though - just a bit upmarket for our pockets - but think this is more the area than just that particular pub.
That said, the campsite was very good value at just £4 per person per night.
We did also discover another campsite just a mile or so down the road if you turn right out of this campsite with a clubhouse that served food for a bit cheaper than the local pub - and they had a lovely lake with a beach there too - lots of people were actually swimming in it whilst we were there! Supposed to be for residents only I would think but a bit steep at £12 per person per night - 3 times what we paid for this one a mile up the road.
All in all, if you are looking to get away from it all on a quiet, relaxing site, then this would be a good one. We will probably go again, but will probably take more supplies with us next time and cook for ourselves rather than rely on the local pubs etc.

Fantastic site. Its close enough to East London / Essex to head up on a Friday night after work. Its great value and there is loads of space. The site itself is a huge field. There are mowed grass sections for the tents and rambling areas of heathland to encourage the wildlife. It was picturesque and great for the kids to explore. Lots of the pitches have electricity and there are plenty of hedges if its windy. The chap who runs the site was friendly and laid back.
P.S Didn't seem to be any shops within walking distance of the site but is a massive Tesco 10 mins drive away.
