August 2005 I was very impressed with the site on a whole. I liked the fact the pitch was flat and had a fair amount of room to put car and tent. The location was very good a few miles out from town, the site was very clean, and the kiddies had a climbing frame and big outdoor draught board to play with. The only negative points was the staff who were very moody considering how great the weather was and the wash facilities could have been a little better.

July 2005 Visited here for four days and was not impressed with this site at all. The charges are very expensive at £18.00 per night. We landed there and went into the office to pay the balance on out four night stay, the staff where very sulky and only interested in taking out money. Nobody showed us around the site. Toilet facilities very poor although they have just finished about six new showers which apparently opened yesterday. There are not enough toilets and showers for the size of the campsite. Showers are small and cramped and wash basin area only have a shower curtain for privacy. There is a large mirror in the main corridor and this is the only place you can dry your hair with your own hairdryer and has eight sockets, when your trying to dry your hair there are people walking through to the laundry area and female toilets so its like a traffic jam. Laundry facilites are expensive and £2.50 for washer and 50p for five minutes for dryer.
There is a shop that is open all day and the cafe is open from 8.30am to 10.30am for breakfast. No pub on site or anything else really. There is a bus service into St Ives on the hour and this is well worth using as you can leave your car at the campsite. Charges for the bus are reasonable daytime charges are adult 70p & child 40p each way and evening adult £1.00 & 50p again each way.

August 2004 This is a good site with good facilities. The pitches are a little small but OK. Since last year the bus service from the camp site to town and back has been improved, and now runs approximately hourly.

August 2003 We have visited this site for three years running now and have enjoyed our time there. The site combines excellent facilities with an unspoilt beauty. We found the owners and staff to be exceedingly friendly and helpful. Our three children range in age from 15 to 6 and they all love it there, what better endorsement can that be.

June 2004 This was our first time camping and we were very impressed with the site. The site had just changed owners so we were told. We found the plots to be plenty big enough, the on site wash facilities were very clean and not dirty or smelly like another review said. The food from the takeaway on site was excellent, our daughter enjoyed playing in the kiddies area, the people were very nice and helpful. There was a bus almost every hour into St Ives town centre. Tesco is not that far away. There is no pub on site and we couldn't find one within walking distance.

August 2003 This site was the most expensive site that we stayed at during our tour of Cornwall. For 4 of us with electricity it cost £23.50 for one night. We were staying on the edge of the road rather than in the field so it didn't feel that claustrophibic.
The kids play area is good but a fair way from the main field so you may have to go with them if they are small. There is crazy golf but it costs £1 a go which I thought expensive given the price we had paid to stay.
The facilities are ok - they are all in one unit and they were quite smelly when were there. The showers are tiny -just the door width - not a proper shower tray and really cold as well - kids not impressed.
Washing machine cost £2.50 - how much! given the price we had already paid!
All in all I thought the site was overpriced for the facilities on offer.

Aug 2003 Very friendly owners, lived there for years, so have good knowledge of the local area. Good Wash facilities etc, however the pitches are rather small and overcrowded, pitches all over the field not just around the edge , felt rather claustrophobic.

August 2003 This is an excellent site, especially for families. The facilities are the best that we have experienced with the showers, toilets and washing areas being very clean and well equipped. There are good children's play areas, a games room and a well stocked shop. The location is beautiful, the staff friendly and the site flat and tidy. There is a bus service once a day into St. Ives. Or you can do the cliff top walk into town if your more brave. This is worth doing as it's very nice. There is not a bar on site but a taxi back from town is less than a fiver. St. Ives itself is of course lovely.
