Just arrived back from Ellscott Park after reading the other reviews posted, I have to say we must have visited a different park. Yes the grass area was maintained nicely, but in our opinion a bit obsesively! the owner some mornings was out cutting the grass at 7.30 am! a little too early if you ask me when you are on holiday, the same would also apply after a little overnight rain, he would be out using mops and pumps on the grass, there was no danger of flooding just a little standing water as you would get on any grass.
The toilet blocks were not the best I have every visited, they were clean yes, but nothing spectacular, for example shower curtains, not cubicles, very little hot water, no water pressure for the showers, and no soap supplied fo the wash basins, my wife also noted that in the week we were there they only got actually cleaned once, the owners seemed to rely on there campers to mop the showers out with water, this was the cleaning rountine !In the gents there were only 3 toilets and 2 showers for the whole campsite, resulting in queues most of the time, I imagine the same for the ladies.
When we first arrived on a tues morning we were shown on to the main camping field by the owner (through a large caravan storgae area which was a little tight to tow through) and given a choice of locations for our caravan. We were quite pleased with the site initially but soon noticed the owners tendancy to "pack" in the caravans we returned one evening to find caravans that were literally 8-10 foot away from ours in all four directions. This carried on throughout the week so that by the weekend you could not move, there was no space for children to play or dogs to lie, in fact one morning I found my car was blocked in by a caravan. This all resulted in us leaving a night early and at 8pm setting off for a 5 hour trip home, this is not a decision I take lightly!
The dog exercise/play field which again started off empty, soon was filled with tents which ment that exercising dogs was very difficult as they were expected to run around in the same space as people were camping

Very nice site, friendly people and good clean facilities! No playground but a big field for ball games. Tent pitches well spaced with lots of room, we had a lovely relaxing weekend here and would visit again. It is well situated for Bracklesham bay, Selsy and the Whitterings. Only downside was that it is not sign posted very well and the only sign is right by the entrance so easy to miss, but other than that highly recommended!

WOW . What a beautiful impressive site ! It is the first time we have visited this site but it certainly will not be the last. Upon arrival the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The site didn't actually charge for dogs which was nice to see, as how much room does a dog take up ! We were shown to our pitch by the owner on his bicycle and shown the essentials like the toilet block water stations etc. The toilets were ALWAYS clean and tidy, although would benefit from putting a bar of soap or some hand wash in the sink area. I didn't use the showers as I did not like the flimsy shower curtain rather than a cubicle and a fixed door. The main field we were placed on was lovely and had plenty of electric hook -ups available. I really like the fact that the main field was not used for playing ball games in and this meant that it made this field very peacefull indeed ! The second field for ball games, dog walking etc was a good idea and the poop scoops were great to see and we used them often ! The owners really take pride in maintaining this site and it really does show. The owner was very helpful when our young son took ill, she let us use the office phone and gave us a map of the area incase we needed to find the hospital (which luckily we didn't). It's kind gestures like this that make a site so welcoming and make you want to return. There are plenty of local attractions and we could have done with a few more days. We visited Portsmouth, Chichester and Selsey to name a few. Highly recommended site

A very well presented site. Well maintained level pitches with an overflow / play field. Laundry and washing-up facilities. The owners were very efficient and friendly, even when we turned up with our nine man dome! Two minor gripes, there are no doors on the shower cubicles, only a curtain separates you from the audience! and there are no hand-soap dispensers in either toilet block. Ideal for touring the area around Chichester and the harbour. Bosham is a delight as is the city centre. And any real-ale lovers must visit the "Gribble Inn" at nearby Oving.

Just got back from 2 nights here, and can't praise site enough! Plenty of room, although there was a site full board up. Toilet block spotless at all times of day and night. Owner very helpful and friendly, always on hand if needed too. Area great. Would thoroughly recommend.

Well this is our first visit to this site for 5 years and must say the standard is as good now as it was then. Though the site was very busy it was fairly peaceful and how the weather helped. It really is worth a visit you will be made welcome and yes pointed to all their facilities. Do visit the Witterings - the East for lovely little shops and the West for wonderful sandy beaches. Parking is 5 pounds per day but worth every penny

This is an extremely well maintained site that is popular with regular clients and has around 20 sited tourers around the edge of the main field. A second field is used primarily as a play area (there is no play equipment other than a couple of nets) but is also used as an overflow area for tents. The main field can appear crowded at times.
The facilities are spotless and the water always hot. There is a freezer in the dish washing room for ice blocks and a small laundry facility. The site has a strict policy about children not playing between the tents/caravans and does not allow children under 7 to use the toilets without an adult. This is strictly enforced.
The local shop can be reached by a 10-15 minute walk across fields (or a 2 minute drive) and is extremely well stocked with fresh bread, rotisserie chickens and nice cheese.
Chichester and all its attractions are an easy drive; Witterings Beach and East Head (NT) are closer but still require a car journey. The car park (to access both) costs at least £5 but is worth it for an all day visit.

Have just returned form bank holiday stay at this well maintained site. Very clean and efficiently run small site with lovely flat piching area and neatly organised dissposal points, etc. A stones throw away from the witterings and Chichister Harbour. Rate was very reasonable for time of year and included electric hook up. A lovely big field for kids to play and dogs to run (with poopa scoopas provided). Site well recommended to responsible caravaners and campers alike.

Spent a very pleasant 6.5 days on the site. Very clean, campers requested to be green with their waste in provided containers. Facilities nice and clean. Owners have a pride in their site and can be seen regularly on his/hers cycles or the ride on mower doing a variety of tasks. Not near any shops (walking) so take your requirements in with you.

We have just spent a really good weekend at this site . It was our first time with our new caravan, so we were a bit flustered when we arrived ; then the owner told us our caravan was longer than he was expecting and we couldn't have a pitch on the campsite ! He offered us a pitch in his garden by his conservatory which was supposed to be an adults only space which we took (upon promising him our 2 children aged 8 and 3 would be quiet and well-behaved ). Worrying about how noisy your kids are is not the sort of stress you need but fortunately the couple tenting opposite were lovely , the lady in the caravn ignored us and thankfully our kids are mostly well-behaved .
We walked through the main campsite to get to the games field which is a lovely large field with proper football nets and a basketball hoop. The campsite itself was well -run , the tolet block and showers were clean and modern (although there was no soap provided at the handbasins in the toilets ) . The owner provides recycling and composting bins which shows a thoughtful approach to managing the site's waste .
Because we had camped in the adults only bit we were offered the use of a lovely clean toilet in it's own hut and a big shower in the Reception building. The gates are locked between 11pm and 7am which stops any anti-social noise from late/early arrivals.
Overall this was a clean well run site which I'd really recommend . The owner was friendly but not intrusive and helped us level and set down our caravan for the first time which we're grateful for !
