SteO's review is pretty fair. Re: Joe's comment about the muddy ground: The ground did not appear to be too muddy when were there (despite heavy rain) as they appear to have developed the grounds a bit.
The showers were the most negative thing - apparently the ladies shower is slightly better than the mens, but probably not worth the 50p you put in the slot. The dogs weren't too much of a nuisance except when one of them decided to piss on one of our bags.
Location-wise it is great as very close to town and if going up Snowdon, you can leave your car at the campsite and walk from there (or take the bus to Pen-y-pass carpark).
Overall, it is not as good as some sites I have been too, but for the location and convenience factor and view (and price - £3 a night), I would consider staying here again if visiting Snowdon.

This campsite is really useful for a visit to the lovely village of Llanberis, being just a short walk from all of the attractions. There are fantastic views from the campsite, no matter where you decide to camp down. The owners are very friendly, although they do let their dogs loose all day and sometimes we found them cocking their leg up the tent and running across the guy lines. The showers are not very good at all, there is only one on the women's toilet and one in the men's. It is 50p for a 4 minute shower which really, you couldn't call a shower.more like a 'trickle'.and for the first 3 minutes it is cold. It was costing us £1 a day for each of us to have a half decent shower.which really isn't good at-all when you've got kids. We found that there was never any soap available for washing after visiting the toilet so that was a bit of a pain, having to take your own soap whenever you needed the loo. On the good side, there is a microwave / fridge / freezer and clothes washing / drying facility. I really liked the atmosphere on the campsite, but would not visit this one again purely because of the bad shower facilities and the wandering dogs. It is such a shame because the village is a delightful place.

It's the same campsite as the posting for Hafod Lydan. It is located 250m up the hill from the Youth Hostel on the left hand side which makes it easy to find.
Good * Friendly owners * Nice new shower/toilet block * Tumble drier * Microwave * Washing up sink * Work in progress to improve/develope campsite
Bad * Ground very wet and muddy, mainly because it rained a lot. * Campsite is quite exposed (particulalry for wind).
Clearly this campsite is in the process of being developed to improve amenities and conditions. It is a nice place in a handy location though in heavy rain it was somewhat waterlogged (as many places do). I would happily return to this site.
