Deeside holdiay park is a well maintained, clean and friendly park which is very child friendly.

I camped there with my 2 young children along with a friend who has 3 young children and we had a great time. We were able to pitch right by the play park and our children played the day away. We were able to keep a close eye and relax ourselves. Perfect.

The toilets and shower facilities were clean and in good condition.

There was also a games building which had 3 rooms inside. One room had a tv with lots of videos to watch . We didn't need this room as the kids were having lots of fun outside. There is also a pool room and a room with table tennis, football and a pinball machine in.

I noticed that there were children of all ages at the play park and they all seemed to play altogether. I am sure this has something to do with the friendly ethos of the park.

I would whole heartedly recommend this park to anyone, especially with young children. It is also a quiet park and suitable for campers without children. I would suggest booking as there aren't that many tent pitches but I noticed there were lots of caravan pitches.

This was a lovely site. It was clean, well maintained and friendly. Toilet blocks clean and were being updated. Could do with some privacy cubicles though. Warden on site, so minimal evening noise.
Good children's play area and TV room. Staff were very helpful and friendly and even checked the internet for the weather forecast prior to our days outing. Have two young kids and they loved it. Minimal midgies. Would definitely go back.

Better to book this site as it can be busy, however it's not a noisy site.

It's set in nice surroundings with good clean toilets, laundry and shop, it's close to Aberdeen with lots of interesting things to do and see in the area.

There is a small playground for the kids and a shed for pool etc;

Staff are superb, value is superb, it's a great site with safe access to a small but good bar.

Used it for a number of years and will continue to book a space on a super site!

Family Friendly peaceful site. Well situated close to Aberdeen but in nice rural setting. Spacious site with plenty of room between units. Toilet facilities being upgraded when visiting, yet still clean and modern. A number of private showers with hot water. Separate building for dishwashing. Small playpark for kids with games room. Staff very helpful and friendly, particularly the out of hours warden. Number of tent pitches spread around the site, and large field adjacent to site used as overflow, yet has excellent views and only a 2 minute walk to toilet block. Would definitely return!

We very much enjoyed our stay in fact its one of our kids favourite sites.

We had a serviced pitch close to the play park which gives my hubby more of a break to spend time with the kids. We felt it was value for money for the serviced pitch in comparison to other sites. The toilets and shower blocks are kept clean and tidy & there is good laundry facilities with outdoor drying area - always a bonus with 3 kids.

A real sun trap in good weather!

Loads of activities to see & do in & around Aberdeen the list is endless.

Friendly and welcoming staff. + open all year round

Stayed here on a wintry weekend. Finding the campsite from the the south is easy - follow the B979 from Stonehaven.

We thought the campsite was unremarkable: clean, but not spotless. The gents' shower block was being refurbished during our visit (hopefully this will make a big improvement) so the ladies' was communal! Shower and toilet facilities are acceptable.

The Old Mill Inn is immediately next door and served an adequate pint but was very quiet. There is an adjoining restaurant which we didn't try. The Maryculter House Hotel (2 miles west) is very different: a fantastic old castle with historic residents' lounge. Well worth a visit.

Facilities are available in nearby Peterculter, but the road is busy so at points you'll need to walk in the verge.

Drum Castle is a few miles away and set in a beautiful estate.

Was there at the end of Nov. Lovely site toilet block very clean. Pitch a good size. Hotel next to site of which you could go for something to eat. Aberdeen itself not a far journey, plenty of shops to look at and supermarkets there. It was snowing when we were there, day we were leaving were stuck as there is a slope out of the site and we couldn't get out because there was ice underneath the snow, also could of tried the exit that brings you out at the hotel, but a camper got stuck there so didn't try that. Wardens cleared the road out with digger and salt. With help from them we managed to get out the site. Very helpful.

This is our third visit to this campsite. We like staying here. Has all the usual facilities. Laundry, chemical disposal etc. Clean toilets and showers. Adjustable temperature showers but not a lot of power. Pretty site. Statics and cabins on site. The touring part is mostly in a circle near toilet block, though I notice a few statics are now encroaching on touring area.
Fully serviced pitch, hardstanding for 2 adults and a dog was 15.50 per night. Pitch was hardstanding for caravan and car goes on the grass, you didn't feel you were on top of you neighbour. This is a flat site no sloping pitches that I could see. Surrounded by trees and bushes, well sheltered as it is in a dip, short sloping drive down to park.
There is a small shop/reception on site which sells the basics, and you can order papers and rolls for the next morning. Friendly and polite staff. Warden has his own static on site. It rained heavily the night before we left but the site seemed to drain well as you could still walk over the grass and not get wet feet. Open all year.
Nearest shops are in Peterculter about 1 1/2 miles away. A Costcutter shop opens at 7am for early risers. BP garage also in village. Aberdeen is 6 miles away where there are at least 3 big name supermarkets to stock up in.
A pub is next to the site but I wasn't in it so can't comment but it does serve food all day I think.Lovely countryside round this area but then the whole of Scotland is beautiful isn't it! (yes I'm biased, I'm Scottish)

After a long drive needed somewhere to stay near aberdeen, using this years tourist info camping map [2008] picked this site. It was only marked as a secondary pin pointer but felt it should be a main numbered site, was instantly impressed at how well landscaped and presented this site was.
Using a tent it is worth walking around and looking at each pitching point as some are not obvious, posts with arrows indicate each pitch. Maps are available at reception. Again as mentioned if coming from south head up A90 to Aberdeen and turn left at roundabout lower deeside then six miles. We took sat nav and took scenic route over some remote bendy roads to get here.
Keypad entry to toilet block / watertap on outside / dishwashing, laundry at separate building a short walk away. Very peaceful quiet site.

Lovely site. Clean toilets, hot adjustable showers, need a pass number for entry, no queues. We spent 3 lovely sunny days here. Our second visit. Good size pitches, £15.50 per night for 2 adults and a dog on a fully serviced pitch, hardstanding.
Caravans are situated in a semi circle looking over a large patch of grass. Some static caravans with friendly people in them. Has a childs play park and a duck pond. Has a dog walk at top of the park. Shop on site selling a few basics, you can order papers and rolls for the next day. Recycling available.
The last night it rained heavily but the grass was not saturated, so it must drain well. Very friendly staff.
About 6 miles from Aberdeen. If you,re coming from the South don,t take the first sign for Mary Culter,Goggle maps and Sat Nav want you to,(we went this way the first time and it,s not a good road)- go onto the roundabout at the edge of Aberdeen(A90) and turn left onto the B9077 and the caravan park is about 6 miles along the road on the right.
Well situated for visiting Aberdeen and Stonehaven, lovely little harbour there. Asda and Sainsburys at edge of Aberdeen.
