Probably the best site I have ever visited. Everything you could ever want, Spectacular Views, Friendly owners and great facilities.
A lovely site with a good view from every pitch of the sea and harbour.Small enough to be a friendly atmosphere and great for families.
Mike and Liz are really wonderful people and are always there if there is a problem and willing to help.
Although situated in a quite remote area there are shops catering for most things just down the road in No Mans Land and Barbican.
The facilities are very good with spacious toilet blocks. There is a good sized shower in each toilet block and also a separate shower block with plenty of hot water.
Good washing up and Laundry facilities are also available.
At night you are treated to the most spectacular display of stars you will ever see.
The Bay View Shire horses are really something to see and make friends with along with Skye the family dog.
Well behaved dogs are most welcome so all in all a perfect site for a family holiday.
This was our second visit this year and we are going back in October. This site has got to be one of the best in the country and is well worth a visit.

Lovely little site with a great view of Looe. It really feels like you're driving out to the middle of nowhere, but in reality is only a 10 minute drive or 40 minute walk from Looe.
The owners of the site are really friendly and helpful but are happy to leave you to your own devices - none of those lists of rules that you sometimes find at other sites.
The shower & toilet facilities were spacious and plentiful for the size of the site. Each pitch had its own picnic table, and electrical hook-up should you want it.
You really are part of the farm - some gorgeous shire horses live in the field at the bottom of the camp; Sky, the farm dog, is very friendly and loves the attention of the site's visitors! And the cat was often around at breakfast time for a visit too.
The site is placed just off the coastal path, so perfect for walking. The monkey sanctuary is just down the road and many of cornwall's sights are not far away.
I'd definitely return to this campsite again - a welcoming and beautiful spot.

Stayed here after a week in a lovely barn in Colan. Prior to staying in the barn we camped 1 night at Magic Cove in Mawgan Porth.
The site is ok, although I think it was marred by a few facts: the weather, the tent was pitched on a hill, the showers were a little back to basics, we'd just spent a week in a beautiful barn and Magic Cove camp site.
The views across Looe Bay are beautiful and there are some lovely horses on the site (beware the electric fencing!). But to be honest that was the nicest thing about this site. In the end, due to the weather, we decided to only stay 1 night, instead of the planned 3.
I think this site would only suit those who have the full 'shabang' of camping equipment or a caravan.
There is nothing nearby, no shops or pubs. Everything is situated in Looe.

The owners of this site are extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. I telephoned before travelling and Liz gave me the address to check out their web cam so the site can be viewed before you travel to see how crowded it is etc. The owners live about 100 yards away overlooking the site and this ensures a quite family atmosphere. Washing machines are on site and the showers are free with plenty of hot water. They could perhaps do with more in the way of washing up facilities for plates etc as we only saw one sink. But that is the only minor negative point I have everything else was exactly what I wanted. Local monkey sanctuary 15 mins walk away, £16.00 entry for a family of four but that gives you a free return visit any time in the next twelve months. On site Mike has several shire horses and the kids love them. A great place to stay.

We only stayed here for one night but we loved it. The view was great, the shire horses were lovely and everybody seemed friendly. It was a bit windy when we went so we did have a bit of trouble putting up our tent! But that is to be expected, with it being up on a hill right over the sea. Everything was pretty standard, the toilets were fine, the showers were free which was good and they had laundry facilities. It was £14 for the night for our two-man tent and car, which turned out to be more expensive than other campsites we stayed at which had much better facilities but the view was spectacular and it did feel like a really relaxed campsite which was great. It's true that the toilets and showers were in the barn with the horses but I didn't see this as a problem at all.

We stayed here for 5 days over Easter and what a fantastic campsite and location. As soon as Mike saw we had 3 huge tents he offered us their front lawn which gave us plenty of space with top notch views. Mike and Liz are the most welcoming people we have ever met camping, nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make sure your happy even telling us to use their big 8 seater patio table. You can join the coast path from the campsite with Looe being about a 30 minute walk along the most stunning coastline. The toilets are in the same building as the horses with a wall in between but I don't see that this is an issue, and the waste disposal is at the back of the campsite and not in view. The nearest shop is about 2 miles away but nothing that a bit of planning and preparation doesn't overcome. If your wanting a relaxing time in the superb location in a very friendly environment then I don't hesitate to recommend here. We had probably the best camping weekend (and the best weather!) that we've ever had and will definitely return.

This site was amazing in all aspects. From first turning up to staying an extra day (3 days in all) as we were enjoying ourselves so much. My husband and I phoned up ahead of arriving to see if there would be space for us. I spoke to Liz over the phone who advised us not to stay when she learned we were in a tent but by all means to come just to look at the view! There had been storms the night before and apparently our tent would be blown away if we intended to pitch on the site overlooking the bay, as it happens we decided to give it a try anyway and are so glad we did. We loved it as soon as we arrived and Mike (Mike & Liz are the owners and are a lovely, friendly couple) said we could pitch at the back behind their bungalow and B&B if we wanted to stay, they found us a spot nice and snuggly in the middle of a bunch of unused caravans, this was a perfect spot as we were nice and secluded and safe from the elements with the amazing view over the bay being just yards away around the corner. Also, we were pitched in our own little private orchard with our own bunnies and hedgehog, bonus. The night sky here is one of the most stunning I have ever seen, every single star imaginable was visible and I (being from up North) was awestruck. The amenities were more than adequate and the toilet and shower block were massive and clean, the sound of the shire horses in the stables to the side just added to the wonderful outdoorsiness of it all. The shire horses were, as stated, magnificent. Part of the family on Bay View Farm is the lovely Skye, a beautiful working dog who we befriended instantly and who always had a friendly woof and wag of his tail for us whenever he saw us. The walk into Looe via Millendreath beach was gorgeous and when we got to Looe we had to sample a giant pasty from the cornish bakehouse and also a couple of bottles of 'didjabringabottlealong' from the wonderful pub 'Deckers' (so good we had to go again the following day). There's plenty to see and do in Looe whether driving or walking, this coupled with the view and friendliness at Bay View Farm made it a perfect camping trip. Thanks Mike & Liz (& Skye). We would definitely return.

With fantastic views over Looe harbour and island from this campsite at first sight this site appeared to be one of the best. However the toilets/ showers are rather basic being part of the stables, ( you sit on the toilet and hear the horses stabled on the other side of the plastic dividing wall) Rubbish disposal as throw it into a trailer ( don't know how often it was emptied) Although there were numerous drinking water taps all over the field there was only one Grey water point which also doubled up as the chemical disposal point. The nearest shop was about 2 miles away.
