What a great site, and the fact they are now just over 25's made it more appealing we are only a 30something couple and found it nice not having other peoples kids running around or shouting!
The owners are very nice and helpful the price was excellent and the park facilities where great , spot less toilets and shower blocks but 'NOTE' there is only one shower for each sex, there are disabled toilet / washing facilities as well. There are provided a kitchen and washing up area which again is spotless with fridges you can use. A recycling point is provided which is great idea that many sites do not have.
The grounds were well kept and in a lovely location, all be it for the odd vehicle using the main road near by. The site even has a stream running through it, how nice to wake up the the sound of running water.
The caravan and motor home area was great from what we seen all gravelled and with hook up points if a few taken up by what seems to be permanent vans parked up for the season. There are outdoor water filling points and waste water discharge points with a motor home service point as well!. There are even a few hook up points for tents near the caravan park , for campers like us who like to get back to real camping there is a field just at the bottom near the stream for just tents which is not serviced with electricity.
The nearest pubs are a bit of a hike best ask owners for quickest route, nearest shops aren't too far but for better service go to welspool only 15 drive away there you have a camping store and a supermarket (one of the big 4).
We will use this site again 100% happy

We visited this site in June intending to stop two night but stopped three as it was so nice and peaceful. The site has plants and flowers all over and is well maintained by its friendly owners who care about the site and its visitors.
This site is a gem and I recommend it to any one who like peace of the countryside.

My husband and I visited this site for the first time last week and in all honesty we have to say it is one of the nicest sites we have been to in a long time.
The toilet block is well equipped, warm and comfortable, all the refuse facilities easy to use but well hidden from public gaze (and we were able to recycle). The park itself is beautifully maintained and we appreciated the peace and quiet.
We normally use Caravan Club sites but this site is equal to - if not better than - many of those.
We look forward to our next visit there.

Visited this site on a glorious hot weekend, just right for us, great facilities, big pitches and very, very quiet. We loved the site a lot as did our 3 kids aged 6 3 and 2. Just tried to book for this year and they have gone adult only, a wrong move from out point of view. I'm sure families like ourselves will be very disappointed and surprised at this change.

Just came back from a 6 night stay, first off this is a very quiet well run site that does NOT accept groups and does not put up with any rowdy behaviour of any kind so if your coming here for a big booze up forget it.
The site owners are very friendly and helpful, the seasonal campers are also very friendly and helpful, the facilities are first class totally immaculate and have even won awards, no shop on site but supermarket only 5 minutes away by car, plenty to do in the surrounding area but not within easy walking distance. The site is set in lovely scenery with lots of wildlife around and a small stream that runs around the site, the 30 pitches are well drained and huge with small shrubs dividing them, nearly all are flat with electric hook ups and some are fully serviced, this site is a rare find and we will definitely be returning for another relaxing holiday.

Our first camping holiday and it was so good. We ended up staying an extra night, there was enough room to pitch a 3 room with large living area tent, we also added the porch and still had enough space to park our car next to the tent. The grounds are gorgeous, for the tents the area is separated by shrubs for personal space, fantastic idea, the toilets/showers were extremely clean, the owners were happy for the disabled toilet/shower facility to be used as a family room, with 2 kids this was fab, the kitchen area was really clean, only gripe was no drying facility as it rained very heavily the first day!, but this is minor. We will definitely visit again, the views are such a beautiful touch of natural and peaceful life, Good luck to the owners and I hope this is a very big success for them.

Stayed on pitch 23, 19th. July. What a lovely quiet and spotless campsite. Toilet block heated and very clean. Dog run complete with Hares, one large. Entry and perimeter road is hardcore same as most pitches so good in any weather. TV Iffy, good aerial will pull in 4 channels, should sort itself out come Digi day. Hosts William and Helen so friendly you could live there and feel at home all year. A virtual suntrap of a site with 30 hook up pitches, some seasonal. Best waste, grey water and chemical disposal points Ive ever come across. Helen (the boss) and William live on site and are there to help at all times. In its 3rd season so dont miss it!

We have just returned from a short stay at Rhyd Y Groes camp site and we couldn't have been more happy.
It is a relatively small site with approx 30 caravan pitches mainly hard standing but a few on grass with electric hook up that could be used for tents / trailer tents. We stayed at the bottom of the site where about 8 areas are separated by young scrubs. Each are could take more than 1 tent.
The ground was well maintained and soft (no need for a mallet).
The toilets and kitchen were extremely clean and well thought out. Showers were free and hot but of the push button variety. There was also a large disabled shower room which would also be good for young children.
The kitchen had a fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle all included in the price.
The downsides are that there was no drying facilities which can be useful in the british weather. Also there isn't much within walking distance so you really need transport for eating out and essential shopping.
However if you plan your stay the site is beautiful and the owners extremely helpful. This site makes a good base to explore the area.

We have just returned from this lovely campsite and it is our third visit in 9 months. Everything still as perfect, lovely and clean, peaceful, in fact we virtually had the place to ourselves. One thing that I think is worth mentioning is that the photos on their website, do not do this site justice. They must have been taken a fair while ago because all the shrubs, flowers and trees have really grown, so the site is actually much prettier than it looks on the website. We paid £19.00 per night for a large tunnel tent, 2 adults, 2 kids and EHU, which we think is a very fair price considering we had full use of the kitchen area, microwave, kettle, showers etc. Also if the site is not busy, the owners are in no rush to get you off the site. We did not leave till after 3pm today. Just one hour away from the Midlands, this is our favourite site and we will be returning very soon.

The site is in a beautiful area; it's peaceful and well set out with trees, shrubs, flowers and a stream.
The toilet block is spacious, no need to fight with the shower curtain here. The kitchen, with fridge, freezer, kettle and microwave, has plenty of room for two to wash up. Both are immaculate.
Attractions? Well, there are three wonderful gardens within a few miles - Dingle Nursery, Glansevern Hall and Powis Castle, as well as ruined castles and a steam railway.
