Lovely site and the friendly, slightly hippy, owners have worked hard to make it so. Loved all the plants and quirks. Amazing setting as has been said. Toilets/showers very homely and clean and I don't mind paying for a shower it conserves energy.
The grunting pigs were cute and the hairy ones in the field were friendly. I did like this site a lot I have to say. The owners allow real fires in a hired brazier and that is an important element to a decent camping holiday. Why can't more campsites allow this? If campers are responsible then it makes for a great atmosphere.
Lizard village is nothing much to write home about but it's v good to have it so close to the campsite with its pub and supermarket. The coast and beaches are fantastic though. What a beautiful part of the world. Nice one Henry's, we'll be back.

For a family with two small children, this ranked an 'ok' site.
It's in an undeniably fabulous location, with particularly great views from the upper field. And, as has been well documented by other reviewers, the owners are extremely helpful (and bake great scones).
However, the pitches are on the cosy side and if you have a family-sized tent you're going to be close to your neighbours. (We had a camper van parked just over six feet from us at one point.)This compactness and the layout of the site meant little space, little sense of privacy and a lack of room for small children to play freely around the tent where we could keep an eye on them.
This may also have been why this was among the noisier sites we've stayed on, with disturbance from stereos/TVs (not to mention activity around the pool room) late into the night.
All in all, this was one of our less relaxing camping experience. It's clearly a popular site, but it didn't tick all the boxes we hoped it would.

First time here and agree with most previous comments ie. Quirky, near the sea (you could hear the waves at night), sheltered by walls and shrubs, coastal path nearby, 5 min. Walk to village, abundant plant life. Yes showers were basic though adequate and wasn't bothered by unisex toilets. There were half a dozen houses about 100 yds away but I didn't think this represented a housing estate. Price has risen to £7 /night per adult. Two pubs in village both do food and both have real ales and at the time were open all day. For anyone interested in wildlife The Cornish Chough can be seen along the adjacent coastal path as well as Raven and Peregrine. Stonechat were regular at the edge of the campsite also. Very peaceful at night. The only problem I had was a lack of hot water to the sinks, told the owner at the beginning of my stay but still the same several days later however this would not detract me from returning and take it as a temporary blip.

This was my starting point for an End to End (Land's End - John O'Groats). Was a great start to the trip - a little sun, a good, flat, sheltered pitch, and very friendly and helpful owners. It's a really nice, informal, quirky campsite, in a superb setting, within earshot of the sea, and only a short walk from Lizard Point. Got a little blustery in the night, but nothing outrageous. There's also a good cafe - The Regency Cafe, a couple of minutes walk away. Only problem I had was not having 20p change for a shower the next morning! All in all, a great site, highly recommended. Excellent facilities, well maintained.

I know it was a while back but the wife and I had 2 good holidays at Henry's, yes it was a little expensive for this type of site but what you are paying for is where you are situated,
The Lizard Peninsular has got to be one of the prettiest places I have ever visited, as for the site I can only say it is a little hippyish in a nice way and Ron and Jo really go out of their way to make there little site interesting,
the wife and I called our stays roughing it but we loved every minute, its not everyday you get to shower in the back of an old lorry or wash up at an outside sink and we had some fantastic laughs while staying there.
The area around the site is lovely and the cafe in the village is brilliant and very good value for money, also a few nice shops, once you are set up on this site there really is no need to drive far so just put your feet up and chill out.
One thing I would add is that I have always found Cornish people very friendly wherever we went,

We have just come back from a 6 night stay at this site and can not wait to return. The site is truly magical, it is in a wonderful location with fantastic views of the sea. The owners of this site are extremely welcoming and helpful and typify the friendly atmosphere. All needs are catered for and we highly recommend the jugs of cider on offer! The scenery on the Lizard is amazing and it would be very easy to spend all your time just wandering, we particularly recommend a stroll to Cadgwith via Church Cove - breathtaking! No other site we have visited compares.

Left it late to book. Owners very helpful and accommodating and previous reviews good. How we were fooled. Did not like location appeared in the middle of a housing estate. Did not like the ideal of uni sex toilet and shower facilities. And although it looked like the pitches offered privacy, you would have to make sure you booked well in advance. Owners very welcoming and helpful, and if you like the back in time feeling then this is the place to go.

Tphb and Mags 51 (below) have given you the nitty gritty. It is a magic place to stay to explore the Lizard Peninsular. You also get stunning sunsets with uninterrupted views to the west. Lots of amazing walks to keep our pooch happy. The beauty of this area and site is the fact that there are no amusement parks in the area, and you have peace and tranquility by the bucket load. We are off back there in 2 weeks time, after visiting another of our favourite sites, Penmarlam at Bodinnick.

A lovely campsite from which we started our 6 day coastal walk.
The campsite is divided into ample pitches, each surrounded by plants and small shrubs. This looks great and provides a little seclusion.
The owners are very friendly and sell a number of things including food, cider and gas etc.
The showers are a little basic, but absolutely adequate. Probably just as you'd expect from a proper campsite without playgrounds and permanent trailers etc.

Great ,slightly quirky site 2mins walk to Lizard Village which has foodshop, famous Pasty shop, Post office with ATM inside and no-frills ,good value pub serving some local seafood. Campsite mostly divided into separate pitches by shrubs and walls giving some privacy and protection from wind. Adjacent field more exposed but with better view of sea. About 40 pitches, no statics. £6 per adult per night. Fairly basic but more than adequete facilities housed in several old farm outbuildings. Showers 20p coin for short shower, 40p preferable. Good position for walking coastal path without moving car.
