Nice clean site, more facilities needed though. We stayed bank holiday weekend and the site was quite busy but not full and with only one shower each for men and women found we had to wait all the time. Camp shop very limited and no shops close by!
Got to disagree with other reviews, didn't find the owner very helpful or friendly at all! He is very strict and ensures no noise after 11pm. Not even talking in your tent or awning as you will be threatened to leave! as we were and as were other fellow campers. Also make sure you take the right equipment to fish or the owner will not allow you!
Also site could do with some play facilities for children lots of land to do so.
Dont think we would return to this site in a hurry!

Lovely site, only small with approx 24 pitches which are hard standing. Site is very clean and tidy, and the owner is always around to help .The toilets and showers are immaculate. You pay £10 for key fob deposit for barrier on and off site, which is refunded at the end of your stay. We will definitely return here.

Nice little camp with Great fishing! The owner has done a good job of this site and takes a lot of pride and care in the site. Spotless everywhere and he is always about checking everything is tidy and clean. Theres some big carp to be caught in the lakes, one lake with the big uns min 6lb line, and another lake with smaller mixed fish. The only downfall for me was that the kids like to do a hour or two fishing also my wife does too, this would of cost a extra £20 for us. So I just fished on my own as they get bored after a hour or two or go off playing. Internet access is availible and is reasonable at £2 a day. Would return.

This is a great little site
Easy approach. Really clean and well kept pitches.
Immaculate toilet block and showers.
We stayed for a weekend with a 3 and a 6 yr old who loved to be in the countryside (but I think would have needed more facilities for longer than this)
Very helpful owner.
Shops and many Cheshire attractions short drive away

What a beautiful site in a lovely peaceful area, with friendly helpful owners. There is a £10 deposit required for a key fob that operates the security barrier (which you get back at the end of your stay). It has three lakes which you can fish in (for a fee not sure how much as we did not go fishing). There were plenty of geese around the lake and a family with 8 little goslings.
The toilet/shower block was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water. Not many pitches (24 I think) which is great if you want to chill out and relax. There are hook ups to all of the pitches and the water tap was right by the caravan. The surrounding area is lovely too with plenty to do not far from Anderton Boat Lift, and a marina were you can watch the barges go through the lock. We had lovely weather which made our visit even more enjoyable. All in all a lovely site which I suspect will become very popular would definitely recommend it.

One of our first trips in our new caravan last year. Lovely site, had just opened. New, clean and modern toilet and shower facilities. Owner was very helpful. Plenty of room between pitches. No children's play area unfortunately. Location is good to explore this nice area. Area is peaceful and very rural - canals, small villages, nice pubs. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Recommended.

The was our first time in a caravan and it was a brilliant experience. Mark and his mum were really helpful and give a warm welcome. This is a large site with a few pitches which are well serviced.
It does not cater for children and is much more suitable for adults, especially those who like fishing!
Its new and spotlessly clean all over. It is a site which has so much potential to expand and get even better.
It has internet access and a taxi service readily available.
There is a barrier on the entrance to the pitches, and you pay a £10 deposite on a key fob.
Plenty of extra parking is available.
Our Friends stayed in the on site B&B after a wedding we went to in the local area, they got a bit messy, but the owners were fabulous with them the next morning and even sent them away with a full english breakfast sandwich!
If we were visiting the area again we would definitely try to book this place.

Very Good site Despite the weather
I think it will be very hard to get a pitch in the summer but I hope we can we will be returning there. The toilet and shower block were nice and clean
The Barbridge inn is excellent and there are lots of places to visit in Chester. Cheshire workshops for candles and the canal locks and the list is endless.

Lovely site with outstanding views of the country side, good size pitches water and waste behind each pitch, good security electric operated barrier, well stocked shop with all forgettable essentials and more, spotlessly clean toilet block and very helpful owner on hand.
We would highly recommend this site and will definitely return again.

Our second visit to this site. The bushes are beginning to grow and the site is looking more attractive. We took my mother, she stayed in the beautiful B&B accommodation. Mark is a very helpful site manager and owner. Suggested some screening around the Chemical Disposal Area. Really peaceful site, we hired a taxi and visited the local Garden Centre. If you do not have transport it is a long way to the local pub, unless you like walking! Unfortunately my husband doesn't like to walk too far. We will definitely be returning.
