Spent a full week at Cow Close FANTASTIC site very welcoming owners.
Site very clean toilets & showers spotless plenty hot water.
Leyburn about a mile away nice place for food & drink. Plenty to see & do around the area.
The owners had a BQ and invited us for food & drink which was great.
We will be returning to Cow Close can not fault this site at all.
Thank you.

Stayed 2 days at Cow Close on route to Lake District.
The site is first class in its layout, facilities, welcome and location.
Will definitely be revisiting again for a longer stay in the near future.

Excellent dog friendly site couldn't fault it. Toilet blocks new and spotless. Short walk into town.
No playground but plenty of room for the kids to run around.
Leyburn is a small market town with everything you need popular with cyclists and walkers.

Stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend and we are really glad we spotted this site. Owner greeted us on arrival and brought us our pitching information from the notice board (which was put there in case no one was available when we arrived). He was very friendly and helpful, pointing out all of the things you need to know when you go to a new site.
(We were visited briefly over the weekend by the owners to enquire if everything was OK and if we wanted any newspapers getting. Free range eggs were also available).
We had a great pitch. All the pitches were good and spacious and either level or with a slight slope.
The views from the site are beautiful. The facilities block was brand new, of good quality and was always spotlessly clean. The pot washing areas had huge sinks with plenty of hot water.
The surrounding area is picturesque with plenty of walking and cycling routes. A big bonus for us was the huge fields just off the site where we could exercise our dogs.
Great site which is a credit to the owners and in a great area. Would recommend this site to anyone.
Looking forward to going back and hope to make regular visits.

We stayed for two nights this weekend 21/23 April. On arrival we were greeted by the owner. She explained which pitch we were on. My car wouldn't start so she offered to give me a jump start with her car. My car was just spinning on the damp grass so her husband offered to reverse my caravan into place.
The facilities on site were spotless, great value for money will definitely be staying again in the near future.
Owners couldn't be more helpful would definitely recommend this site for anyone to stay

We stayed here over the Easter holidays and had a wonderful time.
This was previously a 5 van site with limited facilities. However, it has just reopened on lst March 2017 as a 20 Pitch site with EHU/Toilet & Shower Block and majority hardstandings. Although there were some seasonal pitches dotted around, we had pitch No. 6 which commanded fab views of the open countryside.
We had a very friendly welcome from the owners who lived in the Farmhouse on the Site.
Although the site was full over the holiday weekend, we had peace and quiet (with NO road noise), just what we needed after being busy at work. Hardly any children, but no playground for them, so best suited to adults.
A shortcut across a public footpath diagonally across a field took you on a lovely walk into Leyburn (about a mile). This is a pleasant small market town (market day on Friday), handy Co Op supermarket, plus plenty of small shops for provisions. Pubs and Tea rooms in abundance. Plenty of free parking too.
Good central site for visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Highly recommended.

Good access and towing, level hard standings, pitch info on notice board by door of facilities block. Easy pitching, due to adverse weather on previous two days did not erect awning as the grass was very wet. However this did not prove a problem. Facilities superb, separate ladies and gents 2 wc's 2 showers 2 wash basins in each with electric points plus urinal in gents. Covered washing up sinks outside. Pathways well lit.
Splendid views, good walking /cycling area, Leyburn with shops and supermarket within 1 mile.
Owners were very friendly and welcoming and have put a lot of effort into making this a gem of a site.

Pleasant little site, a short walk to Leyburn over the style at the site entrance. We were the last campers of the current year. They were going to install shower block, Hard standings and seasonal pitches for 2017.

A fantastic site ! Basic and as Yorkshire should be. Stayed 5 nights. Easy walk to Leyburn centre and good road link to A1 motorway. Had 4 days with only 2 other occupants. We did not make a reservation but the owner welcomed us, which was great after 6 hours driving ! No shower but not a problem as we created our own bath and local swimming pools provide showers. Toilet (1) clean and never had to wait. Will for sure go again.

We had a 2 night stay at Cow Close, we received a warm welcome from the owner of the farm. The site was easy to find and get to. It has a good view and was lovely and peaceful in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire dales and an excellent area to walk. As others have said the only thing you can knock the site on was not having a shower, as previous people said we read the reviews and it was everything we expected so don't let the lack of a shower put you off going to this site and will return when in the area
