Visited here for a weekend of walking and as others people have reviewed, the area is stunning.
The site is easy to find.
This is a very basic site, with only one outside toilet, 5 hook up points, an outside side sink to wash pots, with cold water supply, two water taps, a grey waste area and chemical disposal point.
We had read reviews and got what we expected, I can only agree with a previous reviewer that the addition of a simple shower block would make this site great.
Nice little site for overnight or short weekend visit but feel for us, the lack of a showering area would put us off staying any longer.

Had a fantastic Easter weekend at this lovely site. We were in the non-EHU side of the field which was level and had lovely views across open countryside.
Even though it was bank holiday weekend there were only 4 caravans and 2 tents on the field, including us.
The only facilities are a cold water pot wash, clean toilet and chemical toilet disposal but that was fine with us. It was so quiet and peaceful, lots of space for the kids to play and an easy half hour walk to the pubs and shops in Leyburn.
Close enough to all the attractions of the Dales and easy to get to.
There is nothing negative at all to say about this lovely site and we will definitely be back.

This little site is basic. But beautiful. There are glorious views for miles around and the peace and quiet was just fantastic. It feels nicely tucked away but a short walk across fields brings you out into Leyburn with a host of lovely shops, and the walk along Leyburn Shawl and into Wensley is a great way to spend a Saturday! I know it has been said in previous posts, but the owners were so welcoming and helpful, and also very dog friendly. If you can live with the one outdoor loo and basic potwash (no problems here.) this is a real gem and I would return at the drop of a hat. Not for party people, thank goodness.

This is a lovely remote site within easy walking distance of Leyburn which has wonderful facilities and browsing shops. The facilities on site are very basic, but the views are wonderful.
The site is level and hookups are available. The facilities are very basic. A toilet is available and always clean. Fresh water with good pressure. Washing up facilities but these were in the open air and very small.
A good re cycling station is also available. Easy accessible elsan point. Very friendly owners who cant do enough for you and you can also purchase local produce from them.
An excellent place to base yourself for walking in this beautiful dales country. Lovely walks locally as well as over the local dales area. You have to rely on your caravan for showers though.
This is a very basic lovely quiet site that I would recommend to any small site user. We have been twice now and intend to return in 2012. They don't mind you taking dogs, we take 5. As long as they are well behaved. Plenty of foot paths adjoin the site too.

Excellent! We loved this site, it was our first time using a CS site and we're definitely going to return.
We took our dog (his first time camping) and there were plenty of area's to walk him, easy access to Leyburn through a couple of fields (handy with a dog).
Site is as described with just one loo, but we have shower etc in van so not too worried. The loo was always clean and the site immaculate.
Owners really friendly and helpful. Not one negative to say about the place.
Very easy to find too, just drive through Leyburn, take the Richmond Road out and the site is sign posted clearly on the right.
Lots of walks from the site, near Reeth which is also a nice walking area.

Lovely campsite just outside the village of Leyburn.
Very basic facilities with just one toilet and hand basin situated outside. The pot wash is also outside in the middle of the field.
The views are lovely from the site, as it's on a hill so a little exposed in a tent but we camped behind the stone wall which offered some protection.
Great location for for a couple of nights, also we were allowed a campfire so this pleased our children, toasting marsh mallows and sitting round the campfire.
Overall a good value for money basic facilities at a basic price (£8 per night)
Definitely use again for a weekend break

We spent 2 nights at this lovely little site. My hubby and I took the boys aged 6 and 3 in our campervan. Whilst there is no 'playground', the boys had fun playing in the large field, and went down to see the owners pigs. It is a basic site,( one toilet, outside handbasin, exposed pot wash ) but has fab views and very friendly owners. There are pubs in walking distance ( if that's what you would like) and a short walk and you are on the Limestone way. We will definitely go again!

Just visited this site at the weekend. It was only our second trip out in the van and the owner was very helpful.
The site's pretty level with lots of space so the pitches are well spread out, there are lovely views across open countryside all round. The toilet was always clean.
There are plenty of places to visit in the local area, Forbidden Corner, Wendsleydale Cheese Makers and Gayle Mill being just a few.
In all a lovely quiet site that we'll use again.
We can recommend the organic eggs too :D a must for breakfast.

A lovely small site. The owners and their family are very friendly and helpful and are dog friendly (which was fortunate for us as we have a very lively (nutty) collie)
An excellent location, with good views over the surrounding countryside and Leyburn which is less than a mile away has plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and take aways.
There is a station on site that has fresh water supply and caters for rubbish in separate bins for recycling and with a washing up basin for pots n pans etc. Across from the actual camping area is a well placed chemical disposal area. The only let down is one Loo no showers (though not really a problem when in a motorhome)
This is one of the nicest campsites we've ever stayed at and can't wait to go back.

Went at the worst I think with the weather but very very helpful. Will return again. A very friendly farm. Mick thanks. Great views over the Dales and with a camp fire as well. The fire made it for me and my lad. There is no rush to leave in the mornings to. Go see the Dales then come back get your tent. Very friendly
