What a fantastic place for a relaxing holiday.

Mike and Cath gave us very warm welcome when we arrived for our 2 week holiday. They could not have been more helpful.

The site is well kept, safe for young children, toilet facilities are spotless, swimming pool which was just the job in the hot weather, a lovely barn for children to keep in the shade and play table tennis etc.

The pitches are well kept, good size, shaded by weeping willows, pitches have electric hook up and water supply is very convenient. The site is surrounded by open fields and there is an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.

Mike and Cath have good local knowledge and can give good advice and recommendations for days out.

There is loads to see and do in the local area. Nearest food few miles, butchers and bakers visit site, larger town of Loches 15 - 20mins away is very picturesque with good markets. Loire chateaux within 45 mins.

The size of the site allows for a private and quiet time.

This was the most idyllic campsite that we have been to in England and in France.

Mike and Cath could not do more for you and were more like friends than owners.

Toilet facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean. Huge and flat pitches.

The area was interesting and beautiful.

The butchers van on site had quality meat.

Local pub and shop was adequate and friendly.

Would certainly recommend this site and will definitely be going again and would recommend to anybody even if just an overnight stop before you continue on your journey.

This is definitely the friendliest site I have ever stayed on. We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived from the owners and from the others who were staying there.

Pitches were large and well spaced, and the facilities great, as we were able to use the bathrooms from the gites on site, so a whole bathroom to yourself!

Lovely and peaceful, in a beautiful unspoilt area of france. Plenty to see and do locally, as well as on site, with a games room and splash pool.

Would love to return.

This has got to be one of the best sites I have visited in France. The owners Mike & Cath give you a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The site is level and the pitches are very generous with electric hook ups, water and waste disposal all close by.

The toilet and shower facilities are all kept spotlessly clean and there is a pot washing room in which there is a washing machine/drier (at a small cost)also available.

There is also a games room and a splash pool.

Shops are quite close by with local trades people(Baker, butcher) calling at the site on some days.

There are plenty of sites to visit in the area.

This site is ideal for those who are wanting a peaceful holiday in quiet surroundings with like minded people.

Well done Mike & Cath your site is brilliant!

This is a delightful experience, from the warm welcome to the layout of the sites and the generally peaceful, friendly atmosphere.

The toilets, washing facilities and overall environment are spotless. Overall one is made to feel very much a part of this family-run site, which is located in the grounds of a restored barn and outbuildings. With only a few sites this is a quiet experience in a very pleasant location.

The village of Obterre just down the road, contains a well stocked local shop and further afield there are various places to eat. We will definitely return.

 A campsite to die for.

Huge pitches, friendly owners, excellent facilities.

We arrived to a really welcome drink, having travelled down from Calais. Mike then took us to pick which pitch we would like, couldn't believe the size of the pitches. (I have put a photo on my profile). We pitched up and Cath came and asked if there was anything we needed, where do you get that on a campsite.

We had booked for six night's, but stayed for fifteen. A wonderful and relaxing site. No road noise, just peace and quiet

Mike's parents also live there, a lovely couple, Bessie and George, who will always have a chat with you on passing.

We were made to feel really welcome here, owners were always there if you needed them, but didn't intrude. They have worked really hard to make this site a wonderful place to be

If you are ever thinking of the Loire, call in here, you won't regret it. We shall be back

We have visited Le Cormier 3 times so far and plan to return in 2009!

The site is located in the beautiful Brenne national park where you can enjoy a wide range of activities from bird watching to canoeing on one of the thousand lakes.

Local towns are beautiful and offer basic amenities (including some fantastic bread and cakes which can be delivered to the site in the morning!).

The Local bar is a couple of minutes walk away, and the local people are all friendly characters.

Loches is around 15 miles away where you can explore the chateau and dungeon as well as visit the hypermarket if you wish.

The site is surrounded by farmland and beautiful landscape. Shower and toilet facilities are ALWAYS clean and tidy. There is a games area on site and the pitches are massive!

Your hosts (Cath and Mike) are always ready to offer helpful advice on the local area. This place is well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Site's facilities are excellent, the hosts are top and nothing is too much trouble for them. We only spent one night but will go again and spend more time as you feel really at home here. So relaxing, just didn't want to move on but plans didn't permit. You will not go wrong visiting this hidden gem. It is well worth a detour and is surrounded by many vineyards, so that's an excuse to stay for a while!
The rates are very reasonable too. The village has a couple of restaurants. The toilet / shower facilities are only temporary but are the best temporary facilities you'll ever see! (This is just because of local authority red tape so should be ok for next season). There are gites too, so you can go with a car too, all to excellent standards. No criticisms at all. Highly recommended all-round.

What a lovely campsite, situated in a great part of France. The owners, Mike and Cath were great helping out with any queries we had, along with welcome drinks on arrival.

The pitches were large and level, with access via a solid roadway that is lit at night.

The toilet facilities were always spotless and we never once had cold showers.

My wife amd I travelled the surrounding area, finding everything from chataux and wine tasting to safari parks.

There is also loads of useful information on their own website, well worth a visit, will be back again as soon as poss.

This is a such a lovely site with such welcoming and helpful owners, Mike & Cath, I feel I must write my first review so others can enjoy the hospitality and comfort we did.

Due to traffic problems we arrived at 9:30pm, and it was a race against time to pitch our tent before the sunlight went. However Mike came along to help, bringing torches and he lent us an adaptor for our hook up (ours got left in Spain!). Cath came with juice for the kids and a welcome cup coffee for us.

The next morning we woke up in a beautiful massive level pitch (180+ sq meters). The shower / toilet blocks are temporarily housed in a portacabin unit. However this is spotless, comfortable and a good size, also the water was always hot.

There is a spacious communal area with a large BBQ (spotless again) and a games table. There is also a duck pond and large gardens for the Children to play in.

We stayed for only 2 nights, and so only had 1 day to explore the area, but the campsite is located less than a mile from a village with basic facilities and about 13 miles from Loches, a beautiful town with a market, gardens and hyper markets.

I would recommended Le Cormier to everyone and we hope to be back for longer next year.
