Booked two pitches, and were put on one large pitch but still charged for pitch price, tents were crammed in and one day we came back and another tent had been told to pitch where we had had the cars!
Electric hookups were mostly from splitters in sockets, so when 2 people turned something on they were frequently overloaded and tripped.
Showers were hot, but too powerful to stand under, I like a power shower but this was more like a pressure wash! seemed to be little organisation, half the site was overcrowded and half was unused. Only thing that was any good was the location! (I'm definitely not a fussy camper, I've been to several glastonbury festivals and had less problems!)
Exit was through the camping area, and via an open gate onto the main road near where children were playing football.
1 drinking water tap for site.

I would love to say a BIG THANK YOU! We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and would 100% stay again. Woodwams are fantastic and service was outstanding! The toilets and showers are amazingly clean and it seemed they cleaned them every half an hour!
We could use our bbq, which was great. They have some ''wind blockers'' everywhere and I have to admit that that is a great idea. We sat outside every night till 1am at least - you could not feel any wind at all ( it might have also been that we sat next to one of the woodmams.
Woodmans have a tv, heater and fridge inside! Really clean and I found it spacious.
We will book it again :)

Stayed here for a few nights in April. Lovely site five minutes drive from st Andrews, fantastic views over St Andrews.
Pitches are a good size but very exposed as on a high hill and very open and windy.
Toilets and showers were very clean and so was the washing up area.
Windreaks, BBQ and firepits can also be hired.
Overall a great wee site lovely and clean great showers and lovely scenery, nice and handy for st Andrews. We don't have children but there is plenty off outdoor space for them to roam away from roads etc and a pitch with goal posts.
Warden was putting up permanent wind breaks on all pitches before we left, this will make a huge difference.

Nicely kept campsite with great views over to St Andrews and the sea. Facilities were good, perhaps a microwave at the food prep area would be a useful backup.
Toilets were kept clean and tidy. A bit of thought has been put into the site layout with windbreak screens and trees well positioned to provide some shelter from the sea breezes, but not obscuring the lovely views.
Husband really liked the fire baskets and BBQs that were available for hire. Large field available for walking the dogs and a great wee playpark for our daughter.
Owners were really pleasant and relaxed which made our stay a pleasant one, we will definitely visit again.

Lovely site, will defo go back, only fault I had was an awful lot of wasps. No one else seems have said anything about it so maybe we had a nest close by.
But great site great views and owner is very helpful. Small shop on site but st andrews only a short drive away.
Toilets were clean but ran out of toilet roll quite often due to the amount of pitches being used.
Dish washing facilities good.
Firepit are allowed (surprising) but a great idea when its a bit cooler outside and logs and charcoal available in site shop.
I'm already looking to book up again for next month.

First time camping with family kids aged 4, 3 and 7 months. Park and large play area kept them amused; shower and toilet block spotless, owners helpful and facilitated the hire of a fire pit which was great.
Allocated tent pitches were well looked after and grass kept short. Great family site, honestly think there were young children in near enough every tent!
Will be back!
Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there (apparently the wettest 24 hours since records began) however with St Andrews being so close we were able to fill the day, aquarium, swimming etc All good.

Just back from a lovely trip to Nydie. We were booked for four nights but only managed one due to torrential rain. Had a nice pitch at the top of the hill with EHU and stunning views (when it was not raining).
The toilet and shower facilities were adequate and there was a family shower room which requires a key with a five pound deposit.
In the reception area there are leaflets for local attractions. They also sell some of the basics, milk, juice etc and also lovely ice cream. The owners are very friendly and will go out their way to help with anything they can.
I intend to return to this site very soon and hopefully the weather will be much kinder to us.

We stayed at Nydie Aug/Sept for a week with our 14 month old. We were allocated a large pitch with EHU as requested and it was definitely large enough for our tent which sleeps 8.
The toilets were spotless and always toilet roll available. I guess cause it was quiet but I can't say. There are 4 toilets and 6 showers in the ladies, because it was quiet only a few were open which makes sense.
There is also a baby changing room but you need to get the key from the office. The showers were hot both ladies and gents. It is a push button showers though which is a pain. A good area for washing up, might benefit from a freezer for refreezing blocks if you're not on EHU.
You can have a fire at Nydie which we loved, you can bring your own or hire theirs. We had great weather so sat out just about every night. As someone else said we did have an issue with wasps but Aug is the time of year for them and we just lived with it.
We booked a woodwam for the last night which was nice but you couldn't stay in one for more than 2 nights I would say, there's just no room. A bit expensive for what they are I'd say.
So overall a great site, very clean and well maintained, owners were very nice. Would definitely use again. It is a large site so I'm not sure what it would be like busy as they have more pitches than I think the facilities would cope with.

Our second time at this site and it's evolved a bit in 2 years which is to be expected. There are plenty showers and toilets now which are kept very clean. The showers are hot and powerful. (NB; The shower at the end in the ladies, at the window, is a wee bit more spacious than the others!)
You can hire a fire
Kids gather together and play on the football pitch or swings/slide area.
We were unlucky with the weather but the site drains well.
Please note that if you book, you are given a set pitch, but you are allowed to pitch anywhere if you want and we like to pitch at the top of the hill, on the uncut grass, where it's quieter and with good views over the estuary. We think it's worth it for the long-ish walk to the loos!
There's a facility to charge your lap-top or phone.
The owners are really great - thank you.
A really good small free museum in St Andrews which is great for kids on rainy days.

Lovely site - very accommodating and friendly owners, handy shop on site and spectacular views. Great area for football/games in centre of big field, which means you didn't have to worry about disturbing folks in surrounding tents.
We went as a party of 10 in 4 tents and were gratefully placed together very near toilet/shower block.
Only 2 comments (not complaints) about toilet blocks - (i) gravel path leading to blocks makes for some very noisy flip-flop footsteps through the night (ii) poor flush on some toilets,
All in all a fantastic site - will definitely come back, and would recommend to all.
