Nice flat, quiet site. Great location for Cheddar Gorge & the coast.
Toilets & showers were a disappointment. There was no loo paper 3 mornings out of 4. The showers are badly designed - there's no space to get undressed & dressed. Showering was a challenge to say the least! There is just one sink & this is right next to the toilet cubicle - you can see through the slats in the door! Bit distracting whether you are the person sitting on the loo or the one brushing their teeth.

We loved this campsite, we visted may bank hoilday, for 2 nights. They have a brilliant play park for a mixed age range of children, an excellent bmx track (so recommend taking kids bikes)also somewhere for the kids to play football- basketball. We used the outside swimming pool, which was heated. Toilets were clean.Location was beautiful. Lots to do in cheddar. Nice helpfully staff. We are planning to go back.

This is a very new campsite and it showed, as the facilities are not fully developed. We stayed for one night in summer half-term, and though the weather was hot, there was only a handful of campers. So there was plenty of space.
The facilities are basic but very clean. There is only one small shower block with four showers and toilets in total for male and female. The showers were nice and warm though there is nowhere to get changed or put your clothes while showering. The toilet doors and showers are not very private. Also, there was no soap in either male or female loos, and the looroll was not kept topped up in the female loos.
There is one, uncovered sink for washing up for the whole site, and the lack of a hot tap could be a real problem for a long stay. Ditto the lack of a shop or any other facilities.
The fields are not divided into marked pitches, so we had plenty of room.
The view from the site is lovely, overlooked by a lovely hillside. There is a path down to a cyclepath that is a pleasant, half-hour walk to Cheddar. But be warned, getting down to the reservoir is not as easy as it looks from the path, as barbed wire fences prevent you crossing the field. There is a little background noise from the main road by the site.
The cost was very cheap, as Linda did a deal to allow three small tents for a total of £20. She was very friendly. Overall I would say this is OK for a cheap stay of one or two nights.

We had a pleasant stay here over the May bank holiday weekend. It was a quiet site which was divided into 4 smaller fields, the field that had hard standings and electric hook ups was very crowded. Despite it being the bank holiday it was far from busy and most people were leaving as we were on the Monday. The site was basic. It has a shower block with toilets which offer little privacy but are adequate. There is a sink for washing up, but it has no hot water. The ground is soft and level, easy for putting up a tent. It is well situated, a short walk to the reservoir, the square at Axbridge and Cheddar Gorge.

Spoke to the site owner on the telephone the evening before we arrived on the Saturday - Linda gave great directions and confirmed facilities and prices etc.
A very warm welcome when we arrived on Saturday -
My daughter (11yrs) and I stayed just one night in our VW Camper -
The area is beautiful and the site very well kept.
Just a small toilet and shower block - and a wash up area for washing the dishes. Everything clean and tidy.
Had a lovely walk to Cheddar - approx 20 minutes - and the beautiful reservoir just 10 minutes away - lots of small sailing boats.
Will definitely visit again - we had a lovely stay

Much Enjoyed Visit. I called on the Friday evening, the owner told me the prices, then I called back to book for the night after.
Arrived there at about 3 in the afternoon, found it alright and the owner said if there was any trouble in finding it, just give them a call.
Local area is great, because it's only about 1.8ish miles from Cheddar Gorge and surrounding areas are good.
Also we went for a walk to the local reservoir, which was nice.
The site is made up of a big field and some hard standing and is split up into a few smaller fields, with little fences. The ground is quite soft, which is good for pegging the tent down.
The toilet/shower block is new and was rather good (I only used the toilet)
Overall, a pleasant, and good camp site, that, if we're in the area again, we will use again.

Friendly site. Basic facilities - showers not complete when we visited but not a problem as only staying one night. We arrived late on a Saturday night but were warmly welcomed by owners.
Great location for visiting Cheddar Gorge and Caves. We walked from the site to Cheddar village - it took about 20 minutes but on the main road there is no footpath so we took an alternative route through a residential area.
