A small, immaculately kept site in an unexpected idyllic setting at the end of a private housing estate, where you soon forget the soft murmurs of the M1.

The facilities provided include one toilet and one shower cubicle for the five caravan pitches set within a securely enclosed orchard. These were kept spotless throughout the day.

The orchard (a neat collection of apple, pear and plum trees) is set in between two separately enclosed medium sized fishing lakes (there is an additional toilet and cafe unit available for the day fishermen).

The site is secure and the front gates are locked each night.

A perfect location for us this particular weekend in July- we took part in an event at the Rother Valley Country Park a very short drive away. We also visited Chatsworth house (apprx 30 minutes drive south).

There is a Co-op supermarket on the high street that leads past the turning into Forge Road, and several take away shops. A BP garage is also conveniently located nearby.

David, the owner, is a genuinely lovely man, who takes great pride and pleasure in maintaining this little gem of a site he and his wife Marilyn have created.

We will most certainly return.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this lovely site.Although the site is at the end of a small (private) housing estate we had no problems with access. The site is a very short and easy drive from the M1 and some traffic noise can be heard though once inside the van barely audible.

Entry is through a set of large gates which are locked at night for safety and across a gravelled parking area which is for the use of anyone staying on site as well as day fisherman, we were pitched just at the side of this area and noise was absolutely minimal even though fishermen were arriving from 7am.

Once inside there is a second gated area, the orchard where the pitches are.Fruit trees are around and though nothing in fruit at the time we were there Dave assured us that we would have been welcome to help ourselves if they had been.

The grass was very well kept as is the entire site.Chicken run at one end of the orchard though no noisy rooster to disturb anyones sleep.

One sanitary block in the car park which has a disabled access toilet, kept immaculately clean and a separate shower room with roomy shower tray, a curtain that actually reached into the tray to minimise spray and an electric adjustable shower. None of the push button or pay for your 5 minutes type shower here. There was another toilet and shower room combined at the side of the cafe.

Cafe open most mornings for breakfast and lunch for cold sandwiches, very reasonably priced too.

Fishing in two lakes, one at each side of the pitching area and good fishing too with plenty of fish, both numbers and varieties.

Nearby village has all the shops needed for groceries and takeaways who will apparently deliver to site. Bigger supermarkets nearby.

Dave and Marilyn both very friendly and obviously pay a lot of attention to the detail on their site

We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back.

We visited this lovely little site to try out our new caravan, bought from a nearby dealers. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly and sited us in the small orchard amid apple, plum and pear trees, with the instruction to 'help ourselves'. Despite a fair amount of vehicles in the adjoining carpark where fishermen came to use the two small lakes on site, we had a lovely, peaceful stay behind large iron gates. The toilet and shower were clean and quite new. Entrance is through a housing estate and is quite tight. There is also a rather blind corner to negotiate when returning to the main road so care is needed. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night but would certainly return if in the area. Well recommended.

This is a fishermans paradise - well stocked lakes and knowledgeable owner. The fish are hard fighting and take no prisoners.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. The campsite is small and secure, the owner keeps a watchful eye out all the time. There are two toilets and showers on site which is plenty to support the 5 pitches it has, each of which are kept exceptionally clean. The small cafe is a useful addition for a hot breakfast or cold lunch.

If booking specifically for the fishing it may be worth checking if any matches on the big lake, as the pegs soon fill up leaving you having to fish the smaller lake.

The only main criticism is the constant 'drone' of traffic from the M1. This did not put me off, but if you are looking for perfect peace and tranquillity, it my be worth noting.

I look forward to returning to take on the carp again.

A small, friendly, secure site set in an orchard between two fishing lakes, there is a small cafe where breakfast can be purchased. A warm welcome by the owners Dave and Marilyn onto a well cared for grassed area.

The toilets and showers are cleaned daily to a high standard. The town of Kiveton is a short stroll away where there are a few shops and a train station with a regular service to Sheffield city centre. Rother Valley country park is five minutes drive where you can get a game of golf.

Two mile from motorway junction well worth a visit this is our second stay and will be back!

Fantastic site and if you like fishing it is paradise. The owners David and Marilyn are very friendly and in my opinion you could not wish for a better 5 van site.

Plenty of local shops, a wonderful Chinese restaurant / takeaway nearby. Lovely flat grassed pitches set between fruit trees. There are pubs in the village but what more could you want than to be sat outside your van on a warm summers evening in these wonderful surroundings.

The toilet / shower facilities are good and they have a small cafe on site which is open at W/ends & B/H. My wife and I stay on this site at every opportunity.
