A great little site which combines with a Fisheries.
Toilet block has 3 cubicles each containing shower, toilet and sink - piping hot water and immaculately clean. Campers kitchen is very new and well kitted out with fridge, washing machine, sinks and a talbe and chairs.
The site is on a farm and plenty of good flat walks around the farm. Overall very peaceful - no road noise.
The owners were very friendly, available to help but not at all intrusive. £14 per night including ehu was a real bargain for the facilities available.
Overton and Ellesmere 2 miles away where there you can get any supplies.
The grass pitches were well cut and the site had an overall feel of being very well kept.
We found this to be a perfect site for absolute peace and relaxation.
Any negatives? for us the pitches were a little close, the unit next to ours had an awning and large 4x4 which meant the vehicle was parked within 3 ft of our van. To be fair the site was busy and owners tried to accommodate everyone so possibly not the norm.
Overall a really top find - we will visit again and would highly recommend.

First visit to this site and booked last minute due to our original weekend camping arrangements being cancelled due to the heavy rains in the Fylde area! The owners were extremely accommodating and were able to book us and our friends tents on, both with EHU, at very short notice. When we got there, the ground was remarkably dry considering the weather we'd had during the previous week.
The site itself is very flat with lots of space for the kids to play football, frisbee, etc. The toilets/showers were very clean and considering there was just one shower for the men and one for the women this didn't cause us a problem as we never had to wait to use them. The washing-up area is indoors and has a 'homely' kitchen feel to it with two sinks and drainers (bowls, cloths, scourers and washing-up liquid were all provided) a washing machine, fridge, microwave, kettle and radio. As well as a kitchen table and chairs! A tumble-dryer would make an excellent addition to this utility area, especially for families with young children, so that wet clothes/sleeping bags could be dried.
The toilets, showers and washing-up area had very hot water and whilst this was great for washing our greasy pots and pans the water temperature was perhaps a little too hot for washing your hands - families with young children need to be made aware of this.
The site also has three fishing ponds which are well stocked. This kept the three children and two Dads amused all day, especially as the smaller pond had lots of kiddy-sized fish to catch! The owners are happy for children to fish the ponds but adult supervision is required. I would also recommend this as it is frequently necessary to use a disgorger to remove the barbless hooks from the smaller fish.
Open fires are permitted and fire pits & logs can be hired/purchased on-site. If you take your own the owners can supply you with a fireproof board to protect the grass.
This is a lovely quiet site and we will certainly visit again!

We are frequent visitors to Trench farm, what can I say ! its the perfect place for relaxation whether you like fishing or not.
Mike and Sylvia are the perfect hosts only too pleased to go that extra mile for you, with the new laundry room fitted out with washer fridge freezer kettle and microwave you can sit and have a cuppa while waiting for those holiday clothes to wash. The brand new toilet/shower blocks are the best I've seen on any site, clean and fresh with a separate disabled unit, and get this Indian stone floors very posh.
The fully serviced pitches are all flat and have lots of room between caravans, bag the ones near the small pool very relaxing watching the wild life.No shop on site but hey there's a tesco 5 minutes away in the car and also 2 excellent pubs (Red lion & Black lion) in ellmesmere for a meal and a drink
Round and about you will find Wrexham Chirk ( sunday market) shrewsbury, chester, oswestry and many more places of interest.
The 3 fishing lakes are teeming with fish, whether you like small child friendly size fish on the rod or pole or the big bruisers of fish on heavy pole or carp rigs you will love it,I had 80 fish in 2 hours of various sizes on the pole,it was a fish a chuck and great fun.
All in all 10+ out of 10.

We had a great relaxing time, toilet and showers brand new plenty of hot water. There are three great pools for fishing and plenty of fish, electric is 16amp and all pitches are level
Areas we visited Chirk castle, Chester zoo, Llangollen and the meres in Ellesmere. The owners Mike and Sylvia have done a great job and nothing is a trouble to them, if you like peace and quiet this is the place to go.
