Just returned from Penrhyn Bay, having been there a few times previously, although not for about 5 years. The approach road is still appalling, about two and a half miles down a narrow lane in places single track ending in a farm yard. Then about 500 yards down two concrete strips to the site. Worth it though, once there the views are quite stunning, the sea is clear and clean and best of all blue. Lots of rocks to climb on and a minutes walk to an empty sandy beach. There have been some improvements since our last visit, landscaping, trees planted, a new tennis court and proper roads.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Could do with another toilet block. Whilst the current one is OK it is a heck of a long way from the best pitches, on the headland.
The whole site is on a headland with Panoramic views in every direction. Worth a visit, Still very windy though!

Approach road to site was really bad. However, the site was OK, spacious and windy. The people were very friendly. The toilets were rather dirty when we arrived but the showers were OK. The beach was close and sea nice and clean. Rather a long way from washing up area. The swimming pool cost 70p per session for children. They didn't seem very strict about who was doing what as an idiot on a motorbike was riding about the field towing someone sat on a mat/petrol can with a piece of rope. Probably will not return.
