Went here September 2004. Usual Caravan Club standard. Spotlessly clean and well manicured grass. Toilet block could be bigger. Individual shower and toilet rooms, nice idea but engages each shower for longer, as the boys can shave in there afterwards, and us girls can do our makeup. Position is excellent, right in the forest. Ponies everywhere. Good walks and trails, superb for cycling. Only minus we had was couldn;t find a supermarket, went the wrong way and travelled about 7-10 miles before we found one. Heavy traffic congestion through Brockenhurst, took us one hour to travel the last 4 miles or so.
p.s. The Forestry Commission site is right next door. No electric but ponies poke their noses in you awning/tent, prettier site because the grass is only cut by the ponies. Would recommend both sites.

Several times over the last few years
This site is excellent it has a number of hard standings and loads of beautiful mown pitches.
It is in the middle of the New Forest and everywhere is within easy reach. Brockenhurst is so close that you can nip to the chippie and still hsve the meal hot when you return. The only small problem with the site is the size of the toilet block, which although excellent and scrupulously clean is not big enough.
Immediately that you step outside the gate you are in the forest itself and those of you with dogs will thoroughly enjoy the many walks from there and the wildlife that you can see, I have seen a little egret near to the stream.
Beware, as I found to my cost, in May this year, if you walk too far it is possible to get lost. I took my dogs out for the final evening walk and ended up about 5 miles from the site.
You need to book up a pitch at this site as during the season it does get very full.
