Spent two nights pitched here for an ascent of Ben Nevis which is only a ten minute drive away.
I was permitted to pitch on a small area next to the boat park to avoid midges, although there were still quite a lot of midges and I received half a dozen bites even with insect spray applied.
The view across the Loch and hills was excellent. Great for bird watching - I think I saw an eagle, but it may have been a buzzard.
Facilities are good. Decent showers, toilet and washing up facilities.
Well stocked shop open until 8pm and they happily freeze your ice packs over night.
Good reception with plenty of information about the area.
Good value for money. Less than a tenner a night for one adult and tent.

We were pitched in the 'narrows' right on the loch shore on a fairly level pitch with direct uninterrupted loch views. I cannot comment on the other tent areas. You cannot park next to your tent which may be an issue for some. For us it was fine but was a bit of pain unloading and loading the car. We resorted to loading the car by passing the items up an embankment behind where we were pitched.
The price was reasonable and the man behind reception was extremely helpful. He placed us on the 'narrows' so we had direct access to the loch shore for walking the dogs. He gave us masses of help on the next step of our holiday (after we would be leaving Linnhe). There is a huge amount of information in reception including maps and leaflets and even a wildlife update board.
I can imagine that the site is great for families. There is wi-fi and toddler room etc (none of which we used). The facilities were very good. There were lots of showers / loos etc that were always clean and warm with plenty of hot water. For such a large site the facilities were very quiet and usually empty.
The site itself is on Loch Linnhe and is very picturesque. We had an amazing view and the walks along the stony shore were lovely. The water is very clear and dogs loved swimming in it. There was lots of wildlife nearby for nature lovers. On the evening we even saw an otter playing in the loch.
We had hot sunshine and then a light shower in the evening which unfortunately brought out all the midges! We were badly bitten prior to applying some Avon skin so soft. All in all a great site and recommended.

This year was my second visit to this site. We had a fabulous time last year (despite awful weather) and I was not disappointed when I returned this year.
It is a really nicely laid out site with lovely small camping areas for tents rather than just a big open camping field. All of the camping is by the water side with lovely views of the loch. There is a pebble 'beach' on the lochside with lovely views of Ben Nevis and really peaceful.
All of the facilities are good. The toilet block is clean and the shower cubicles are spacious and never too busy. There are sink cubicles as well which I personally think are great for a little privacy.
There is a nice play area for children, a shop that stocks all the usual items and laundry facilities. There is also a toddlers indoor playroom which is great if it's raining!
A fantastic location if you want a quiet location with lovely surroundings, but not far from the amenities of Fort William and surrounding area.

We stayed in a tent on this site for 7 days from the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May.
The site itself is well signposted & easy to find on the A830 out of Fort William through Corpach & towards Mallaig. The entrance is over a narrow railway bridge that some caravans may find a little bit of a squeeze.
The grounds are beautifully kept & there is plenty of access to the loch side. The reception area is large & they have plenty of information on places of interest. There is a small shop on site that stocks most of the essentials, for anything else there is a small supermarket in Corpach (just about walking distance) or you would need to go into Fort William.
The toilet/shower blocks have an unusual layout. They are split into two parts, the first part has four or five fully enclosed units consisting of a shower (1 has a bath) & sink unit, the second part contains the toilet cubicles with enclosed sink units on the other side from the toilets. We understand that one of the blocks is closed during low season & the other becomes unisex. The showers are hot & free & they are kept reasonably clean but I have seen cleaner on sites that are not as well regarded as this one.
There is not particularly a lot for the kids to do on site. There are a couple of small playgrounds but there are no amusements or entertainments to keep them occupied.
For the adults, there is nothing really much do in Corpach (although there is a small bar frequented by locals which seems to get rowdy & usually spills out onto the street) so the best bet is to make the short drive into Fort William.
Having said that the scenery is around the site is superb, Ben Nevis broods over the site & on a clear day the view is exceptional. Skye, Oban, Inverness, Aviemore & Loch Lomond are all well worth a visit. If you are planning on going to Ardnamurchan (the most westerly point on the UK mainland) take a flask in the car with you, its all single track road with passing places. It makes for a long trip & can become quite tiresome but it is worth it for the view & the beaches.
The are also some beautiful walks round here two, not just up Ben Nevis, but for those who are a little less energetic, try Glen Nevis. You wont be disappointed.
Just one word of warning though, stock up well on the insect repellent as you will definitely need it.

This site was okay and brilliant for it's location alone. The views all round are stunning, with Loch Linnie on one side and Ben Nevis on the other. We stayed here for about 10 days. The entrance is well sign posted and tarmac road all the way in over a small rail bridge. The hardstanding was tight to get into with a twin axle but once in, it was okay, but not very private. The hard standing surface is horrible grey gravel which reminded me of running track cinders of old. This stuff got everywhere and left a muddy film on the floor of the 'van after rain - and being Scotland it did! Drainage was poor. Caravans seemed crammed in elsewhere although the service pitches are bigger. The children's play park / area was slippy and muddy in the wet. The wash block and facilities were modern and very clean, there is also a small shop on site for the very basics. Fort William isn't far away for a good shopping centre and there are other shops in the small village of Corpach which is closer. A fish and chip van visits the site from elsewhere but the chips were the worst There are lots of places to go in the area but I would recommend the ski lift up the mountain which just up the A82. This is also the site used for the Mountain Bike World Cup and the view from the top is amazing and the restaurant at the top serves good food at reasonable prices. There is a good tourist information centre in Fort William.

Myself, my mother and her partner stayed at Linnhe Lochside Holidays in August of 2007 or 2008 (such a long time ago now).
I climbed Ben Nevis during my time up there. Quite a hike.
I remember on entering the caravan the tv did not work and it was replaced immediately.
Lovely views, peaceful and quiet. Helpful and considerate staff.
There is not much if anything to complain about, it's a very quiet, beautiful, serene wonderful part of Scotland to visit.

Stayed here for 6 nights and loved the site. The site is right on the edge of the Loche and has stunning views so even when the Scottish weather let us down we enjoyed exploring the camp and had a walk down to the pebble beach.
The campervan pitches are all hard standing and a bit of a squeeze to get into because of the way they are organised but once in we had ample room for our camper, awning and trailer with motorbike.(the grassed area for tents was very picturesque but the tents did seem a little squashed in and were the furthest from the shower block) The drainage on our pitch, however, wasn't good and we did get a bit of flooding but then we did have a LOT of rain. The facilities are great.Clean and spacious toilet/shower block.Shower rooms with shower and sink and plenty of space to get changed.Sinks in cubicles which were great for a bit of privacy. There was even a room with a bath but you had to pay for a token to use. Well stocked shop, helpful and friendly staff, washing up room and facilities for clothes washing.10 minute drive from Fort William, 40mins from sky and an hour from seeing nessie - definitely a good place to tour out from.
Stunning site, would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.Watch out for the midges though - pack the repellent!

A beautiful site with lovely landscaped gardens.
The view was spectacular right up the loch. We were put in a corner, beside the amenities block with our trailer tent and it was quite a squeeze to fit the tent and the car into the space provided. We watched someone with a caravan try to manoeuvre into the same size space and knew we had it easy. We had no view of the loch, but I felt on a last minute booking, during Glasgow`s annual 2 week holiday slot, I had to gracefully accept what I was given.
Toilet and showers very well kept and very clean, plenty of hot water at no charge and the showers had a washbasin with them and a stool, so plenty of space to get dried and dressed without rewetting the clothes. Dishwashing facility was good. Waste and water facilities, were up a steep set of steps a bit of a problem with a bad back. Although the touring Caravans seemed to get a pitch with a standpipe for their own water.
The laundry room, I felt, was inadequate for the size of the camp - 2 washing machines and 3 dryers, and seemed expensive it cost me £3 per token for the machine and the dryer - the small load I washed wasn`t dry after the 2nd dryer token - £9 for a wash seemed too much - I had to hang the towels etc., on the provided drying screens outdoors to finish them off.
They do have a children's play area but it was at the opposite side of the park beside the chalets and the statics, so our kids didn`t visit it as it was too far away for unsupervised visit - even though they are aged 11yrs and 9 yrs. There definitely wasn`t enough room beside the pitch even to let them play with a swingball so we were out and about all the time.
We had a wonderful outing to the beach at the silver sands at Morar (1hr away) well worth the visit. The exhibition on Crystals and Minerals at Corpach was interesting and afforded a cool place to go on a hot afternoon with the kids.
They do accept tents, although it seemed a squeeze them in, where ever there was a space kind of set up to me. They have warren camping, and forest tent pitches as well for those who want the experience.
The cost for 2 adults and 2 children and the trailer tent was a reasonable £22.50 per night.
The biggest problem for me was the midges, swarms, hordes, unbelievable, eaten alive, and on all of our three nights and during the day from the tree above our pitch. Maybe we were more unlucky than most. This said from someone who lives full time in Scotland with midges at the back door.

Spent a week here from 15/07/08 till 22/07/08…
Firstly the site…well laid out and has a nice country feel to it. It has a large number of Chalets and Static’s and a touring area set in various “terraced” areas, and that is where it falls down. Touring pitches are obviously not a major concern.
The touring areas are somewhat basic in that they have nothing more than some “Red Blaze” covering which, if you have not got a groundsheet, will destroy your caravan floor…and the drainage is something they forgot.
We had pretty poor weather for our week, with heavy downpours at night, every morning the awning was flooded, about 80% or so. I have never had this happen on any other site. Seems they did not think that it might rain in the North West area of Scotland.
The grass at the back of our pitch was very long on our arrival and was strimmed the day before we left…still trying to get the grass stains out the awning…
When we arrived we were allocated pitch P10…avoid like the plague…I would insist that P6 to P10 be avoided………they are the “after-thought” pitches IMHO
As for the facilities, they are clean, heated, and the usual things are there but nothing special, although not sure you would need anything else.
Access to the beach is easy and is worth an early morning / late evening walk for the views alone…but NO safety devices evident at the area accessed by the tourers.
Warning to parent, very strong currents at the tourers access to the beach.
All in all, not the worst site for a tourer, but easily not the best…
Personally speaking, I will not be back……
