Recently returned from my first holiday at meadow farm what brilliant site. Pitch was on a bit of a slope but no great problem, woke up every morning to wonderful views over tenby and north beach, toilet and shower block basic but good enough for me and my lads.Five minutes walk to beach ten to town, bit of a haul back so take car if shoping.Tenby is great place good shops and pubs plenty of places to eat out, will certainly be there next year.

Just spent a week at Meadow Farm in Tenby South Wales. The site was easy to find and easily accessible. A very friendly welcome was received and all was well.
The view of Tenby Town is overwhelmingly stunning. We pitched to take full advantage of this! The site is smallish but not at all cramped. Despite no playground, the children quickly found a well-climbed tree complete with rope swing (the Tarzi!) and some horses to 'look after' in the adjacent field. Sadie the dog by reception was also popular with them whilst taking or collecting the freeze blocks.
The beach is very accessible after a short scenic walk but as the campsite is on high ground, it is a long pull back to your tent. No to be recommended after a trip to Sainsburys for provisions. Parking in the town is cheap though and there were plenty of spaces even in August.
In my view the site thrives on the panoramic view and proximity to the town. It is let down by the toilet/shower block which needs refurbishing.
Also beware the wind which was a problem because you are on such high ground and exposed. A bit of a breeze in town can be a gale on the site! De-camping on the last day, I nearly ended up in Colwyn Bay!
But all-in-all we had a superb holiday. There is loads to do in Tenby and the beaches were the best I've been to. Caldey Island was beautiful and not to be missed, the RNLI boathouse also unique. The cafes and restaurants are to a very high standard and child-friendly.

Very nice small friendly site. We read the reviews before we went so expected the facilities to be basic and they were. There were 3 toilets for each sex so no problem there but only 1 shower each so at busy times you had to queue/wait. The real problem was that the facilities did not work properly; the toilets did not flush very well and the hot water (which was supplied from a small domestic hot water cylinder) constantly ran out meaning that the shower was often cold. There was no washing up facility and while it is not for me to insist that they should provide this it meant that many campers were washing their crockery and food preparation items in the wash basins in the toilets, often in cold water (think raw meat etc!).
Pitches got a bit muddy after heavy rain.
This is a perfect example of a site with great potential that is crying out for a bit of investment - a modern toilet block, washing up facilities and some groundworks would transform it without spoiling it's charm.
Location and views couldn't be better. Owners seemed nice, bins emptied regularly etc

A full campsite of around 40 units, which is more than they advertise to have, cannot function with one very poor shower that doesn't work in the mens washroom. On the first attempt at using it there was no water flow at all and no hot water even in the sinks and then on the second a luke warm trickle was the best it could muster, despite informing the owners about the state of it the day before. I have to say for £75 we felt considerably short changed by the experience.
The views are pretty special over the town itself and out into the bay, however, if you have a caravan or motorhome, be prepared and take extra levelling blocks or some other means of getting your unit square. There is not a level pitch to be had anywhere with electric hook-up, lord knows I tried !

The site has great views over Tenby and is within easy walking distance of the town and its attractions.
The owners were friendly and helpful throughout four night stay.
The downsides are the toilet and shower block which is antiquated and needs replacing. The tariff of £17 per night seemed a little expensive considering the lack of facilities.

This was our first camping trip. The views from this site are outstanding. The location of this site to tenby town is superb, even though uphill on the way back. The only down side to this site is the toilet/shower block, showers were cold, and not much more than a drip. Friendly and helpful owners, froze ice blocks for us, pitch was clean, spacious and quite for June. If you don't mind a cold drip of a shower thoroughly recommend.

Want to know a secret? We have just stayed at the most beautiful and convenient campsite in Tenby. Meadow farm has the most breathtaking views of the town and Caldey Island and is only 10 minutes walk from Tudor Square.
Owners Vicky and Bob (that's no rush Bob to you and me) are wonderful hosts and make you feel more than welcome with loads of local knowledge and lots of laughs. There is no bar, no playground for the kids, no amusements. Bliss!
The facilities however do include a toilet and shower block and well that's it really. These are more than adequate although Pembrokeshire council due to improve them to a higher standard. Our pitch had electric hook up and all for £17.00 a night for two adults. Hospitality at no extra charge!
If you love Tenby, like we do, and are looking to stay in a little piece of paradise then this is it.
Oh and just a couple of other pieces of local knowledge we knew already. The best restaurant in Tenby is the Plantagenet House, run by Barney and his excellent staff and if you just want a snack try the Cafe Vista in Crackwell Street. You can sit on the balcony overlooking the harbour.

We stayed for a week in August 2008 and it must have been the wettest week on record - it didn't stop. Not good for the wife and kid's first taste of camping!
Site is situated above Tenby with stunning views over the sea and out to Caldey, especially at sunset. It consists of one small and one larger field. We pitched our tent in the larger one which has a bit of a slope. The pitches are round the edge of the field, are more than big enough for a large family tent and there is plenty of room for kids to run about. Our kids loved the horses in the adjacent paddock as well and the abundant wildlife including the owl that kept us up several nights listening to him complaining about the rain from the tree above our tent. The campsite itself was normally quiet by 10pm so very child friendly.
Facilities are basic, 3 WCs, 2 basins and a shower each side, and no real washing up area. They were cleaned regularly and any problems were quickly sorted. Site owner was extremely helpful with things like milk and freezing cool packs etc as well as info on the local area.
Tenby is a 10 minute stroll down hill and a slog back up, with all the expected facilities and amenities of a seaside town. We found plenty to do in the area and would certainly consider going back. I am sure that had we had good weather, it would have been absolutely stunning but 7 days of constant rain does put a dampner on things eventually!

Just returned from 10 days at Meadow Farm. What a fantastic place! Vicky, the owner, was incredibly helpful and always chirpy. The weather was very unkind but the views across Tenby town and harbour made it all worthwhile.
Toilet block and showers always clean. The walk into Tenby was easy. Took about 10 mins meaning that there were no car parking issues. As the site is alongside the Pembrokeshire national Park path a walk to Saundersfoot is possible - took about 2 hours but was breathtakingly beautiful. This site is highly recommended.
