We have just enjoyed a 5 night stay at this lovely, friendly site.
We were met by the warden who did everything to make us feel welcome, showed us around the site and let us choose our pitch, (very spacious) with water and electric hookup. All very clean and tidy. We paid £15 per night and thought it very good value.
There is some noise from the road as mentioned previously, but we were out all day and didn't notice it after the first night.
It is an ideal site for visiting Oxford, Blenheim Palace and the numerous pretty villages in the area.
Burford is a lovely somewhat upmarket village, try Huffkins -the bakers- bread and cakes, the Lardy cake is wonderful. Plenty of nice shops, newsagents, post office, Budgens supermarket. We had to go to Witney for fuel.
We would recommend this site if you are looking for a base in this area.

This is a lovely little quiet site situated near the main A40 so easily accessible but we certainly weren’t disturbed by road noise. The wardens were very welcoming and cheery & kept the site & facilities spotlessly clean. There were 2 toilets & 2 showers but we never had to wait to use them. It was ideal for walking into the charming village of Burford with its wonderful selection of shops & restaurants, only about 5 mins away. It's an ideal site for touring the Cotswolds with plenty of great walks & NT properties nearby. We would highly recommend it.

What a delightful find recommended by friends - lovely adult only park and very very friendly. Didnt notice the slight road noise as previously mentioned. Lucky enough to enjoy Friday night BBQ with our four other friends and two vans. Too cold Saturday so enjoyed the Gate. Restaurant on the roundabout. Good menu and good food. There wre two showers with toilets - didn't have to wait to use them and they were lovely and warm and very clean. Easy to walk into Burford and the local Burford Garen Company a 10 minute walk away. Will definitely go back again.

Superb site, very clean with private and quite large pitches. The warden and his wife were very helpful and friendly always on hand to help and advice. The warden suggested a few pubs and restaurants in the beautiful town of Burford and weren't disappointed. It is one of the better sites I have visited and good value for money, I cant see where the previous reviewer paid so much. I paid £15 which I think is very reasonable. There is a good dog walking area just across the road We will definitely be visiting again.

This is a very pretty site and our pitch was small but private. The couple who manage it were friendly and welcoming.
The facilities are clean but very basic - toilets and two showers are in a bit of a makeshift hut! One of the showers was out of order during our two night stay - the working one was nice and hot though.
We paid £22. 50 per night which we thought was expensive compared to other sites we have stayed at with better facilities.
The town of Burford is literally a five minute walk down the hill so perhaps the price is due to location.
We tried the Royal Oak pub in the town as recommended by the warden and it was excellent - great atmosphere, and fantastic food.
The site was lovely and peaceful, the road noise can be heard slightly at times but not enough to bother us.
Overall, we had a lovley stay but I don't think we would go again, mainly due to the price.

Just spent an excellent two days at wisdom touring. Very clean site with 25 pitches. This is an adult only site so overall very quiet. The site is next to a busy road although we weren't bothered by any excessive noise.
Friendly owners showed us to our pitch which was private and a decent size most had electric and some had running water. Toilet and shower block and washing up area was clean and adequate.
The site was just outside Burford which is a lovely place with lots to do and see? There is an excellent area to walk dogs nearby.
All in all an ideal place to visit

Just got back from this lovely little site. Yes, there is road noise, but we got used to it and it never kept us awake.
The new wardens are a lovely couple who are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
Our pitch was a little tight for our caravan, awning and car, but we used the front of the pitch to sit out in some very glorious summer weather, but there were bigger pitches.
The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean, but could do with a little modernisation. We were on a hardstanding pitch with electric hook-up and shared a water tap with one other pitch.
We understand that the electrics and water are all being upgraded. If only this site was nearer home, we would definitely season there.
Thanks to the wardens for making us very welcome and we will definitely use this site again if we holiday in the Cotwolds.

Just spent three nights at this site. On arrival we were a little apprehensive as we're used to much larger sites with more facilities. However our fears were unnecessary.
The site is lovely and quiet the pitches are private, the toilets and showers, though basic are perfectly adequate and very clean and we never had to queue.
Burford is an easy walk away and we took the local buses into Oxford and Witney, both well worth a visit.
The busy A40 was not a problem and we could barely hear it. No children was an added bonus (we have grandchildren and love them, but it is nice to be child free)
If you're going to use the local buses you will need a timetable as Burford is not served very well. Most buses leave from Witney.

We live locally to Burford and appreciate a small, quiet, adults only site for a night or two away within walking distance of all the shops, pubs, restaurants in the town.
There are hardstanding and grass pitches which are well spaced with hedging all round. The facilities are basic compared to other sites we stay on however for only £12 per night I am not complaining!
The toilets are clean, there is a small washing up area and the showers, though a bit makeshift, are perfectly adequate. The new caretakers are extremely friendly and helpful.
The road can be noisy but it didn't really disturb us even though we sleep in our canvas pop up roof bed.
If you were in a caravan or motorhome you would not hear it at all. Highly recommended.

I can only reiterate the praise that everyone else has had for the site and for Burford. Excellent toilets and showers with plenty of hot water and no queuing. Pitches well spaced and sheltered with close hook-ups and lots of water points. The owners/operators are warm and helpful.
It is only a bare ten minute walk into Burford with plenty of catering establishments, some good, some very good. Walking back in the late evening was no problem at all, with good street and site lighting.
Now for the but, the site is right next to a busy roundabout on the A40 and noise from the traffic braking and accelerating was an incessant roar, even through the night.
Probably more noticeable as our pitch was next to the road, but it put us off from returning. A pity because it is a delightfully clean and otherwise quiet site, and also no children, which is a big plus.
