A beautiful quiet site in a beautiful area, with both sea and countryside within walking distance. Originally booked 2 days but ended up staying for a week as there was so much to see in the surrounding area, which we did most of by bike. Early morning we saw Deer in adjoining field and Bacton woods nearby held a lot of birds and wildlife. Also the coast nearby was very picturesque. The pitches were well spaced. The couple who owned it were very friendly and you could call on them any time for information etc. The only downside was that they, and thier neighbours had yapping dogs which at one point became a bit of a nuisance. Also the water, elsen point and shower / toilet blocks were a long uphill walk away, which isn't a problem if you are fit, but also very dark at night!

This site is a little haven, very secluded, adults only, the owners went out of their way to help you, nothing was any trouble, clean toilets, lovely soap for washing hands and nice hot showers, we were made to feel very welcome.Nicely cut grass, beautiful views, very relaxing.Plenty of nice places to visit around the area, lots of leaflets on site for tourist attractions. Will definitely visit again.

Very pleasant site. Most pitches on a gentle slope so you may need wedges to level but some levelling blocks available around site.I used a LOCKLOY van leveller which proved to be excellent for the slope.
Good firm ground that drains well in heavy rain (of which we had more than our fair share). The site does not get boggy.
A Sainsburys supermarket in North Walsham will provide provisions and reasonably priced petrol.
Facilities were adequate.Hot water did run out at times because the heater was on a timer. This was rectified during our stay.
Toilets and showers were clean most of the time, but we saw no sign of site owners cleaning them.
Cleaning products were available but I got the impression that this job seemed to be left to the users of the facilities.
Unfortunately some of the campers seemed not to have been trained in the use of mops and cleaning cloths.
A good value site in a beautiful area. Would certainly use it again. If only to master my way around North Walsham, the nearest town. The one way system can be a little confusing.

Just spent 4 nights here over the Easter period.
Good points:
A nice quiet site perfect for a relaxing break. Toilet block clean & functional.
Good value for money at 12quid a night on a b/h with awning & ehu.
Friendly owners.
Good for exploring north Norfolk.
Owner leaves a few blocks around edge for visitors to use to level caravan.
Not so good points:
Not very well signed off the road until your on top of site.
Site states gentle slope at top & flat at bottom, we were 1 pitch up from bottom of site & our pitch sloped down the field & into middle of field.
Water barrel used to rinse waste/toilet containers was empty all time on site.
No recycling facilities on site just 1 large wheeled dustbin.
In hindsight of the good & not so good this is quite a good little site. A couple of bird tables would be nice.
We like north Norfolk & would probably use this site again but take more blocks next time.

I can't believe this site hasn't been reviewed for 12 months. We have just returned from 2 weeks at this site. This is a really nice, small, peaceful site with very friendly and helpful owners. This isn't a site with all mod cons, it doesn't have hard standings, there is only one water point at the top of the site, the waste point is simply a manhole lid with a handle that you lift off to empty your containers then there's a large barrel of water with a tap so you can wash out the waste containers; but hey, this site really works beautifully and don't forget that it costs just £11 a night fully inclusive at peak times. On two sides of the site you are surrounded by wheat fields and wooded areas, 5mins walk will take you to bacton wood which is massive and really nice, red deer come from the wood and graze in the fields next to the site and on several occasions, we watched them through the hedge from our awning. Toilets/showers are clean and are always full of supplies. About a mile away is North Walsham, a nice little market town with everything you need including 2 supermarkets; around 45mins drive will take you to the north coast (blakeney point for the seals) and down south to great Yarmouth etc. A couple helped us with our awning as it was a little windy and they were saying that they had been coming regularly to the site for 26 years. I can 100% recommend this site as there is something about it that just works.

Having stayed on this site for the Bank holiday weekend I can recommend it. As it was very quiet and the views were excellent. The site was clean and tidy and the owners were very friendly. There is a lovely walk through Bacton Wood which is less than a five minute walk from your stay.
This is one site we will be returning to !

Lovely quiet site. Well laid out with roomy pitches. The owner and his wife just leave you to get on with it. We even had to go looking for the owner to pay him when we were leaving. The showers and toilet are very cleans. ( One shower + toilet in gents and 2 toilets and showers in ladies). Beaches are spotless and the boat trip out to Blakeney Point is worth a visit for £7. We will definitely return.
