Stayed at this site over a sunny weekend in June. After a 1.5 hour drive from North London and a few difficulties finding the site we arrived, the warden asked us to pitch anywhere in the “tent field” and pay the following day.
The site which is behind the farm is two fields surrounded by hedgerows, one with EHU and one without. The toilet block is located near the entrance and not too far from anywhere on the site. There is no shop. The canal is a short walk from the site, past the orchard where they serve gorgeous cream teas from 3-6pm. We spent a few hours walking along the canal; dipping our feet in the water and watching canal boaters operate the locks. The toilet blocks are small (2 showers and 2 toilets) and dated and as a result they appeared dirty (one of our campers showered with a snail!).
As there are no trees or bushes on the fields the site felt cramped even though it wasn’t full. We were charged £5 per person per night for a non-EHU pitch, this seemed expensive for the quality of the site and compared to other sites we have stayed at, especially when on returning home I found a previous email quoting £4 per night.
On the positive, everyone was very friendly and there were lots of kids all playing either cricket or football and would be a great site for families. We had a great time; however I’m not sure I would be able to say the same had the weather not been as good.

Nice site, friendly owners and very clean facilities. If it been raining heavy or is forecast to do so and you are using a tent do not pitch at the bottom of the field. We had to as it was very busy and it ended up like Glastonbury on a bad year. (Thanks to Neil the owner for towing my car out!) Other than the mud, had a great weekend. The walk along the canal is great.

We camped over for one night at Holt Farm and found it to be very pleasant. There wasn't much happening on the site but there loads of sheep roaming around to look at and three lovely horses! The campsite owners are very friendly and jovial and the amenities are adequate. Do not under any circumstances eat at the Folly Inn which is about 20 minutes walk down the canal. The mixed grill consists of one processed sausage, a floppy piece of gammon and a tiny dry lamb chop. It was horrible and over priced at £13! My girlfriend and I had a good laugh because we kept hearing the microwave 'pinging' every 5 minutes! However, it was a comfortable pub with nice big open fire!

Great campsite. Very friendly owners. We camped here and met up with out travelling companions for the Plymouth to Banjul challenge. We were lucky enough to catch a bonefire and dirework display put on for locals at the farm. Everyone was very hospitable and welcoming. Highly recommended, will be visiting again.

Lovely farm site with very friendly farmer. The cream teas on offer after 2pm each day are well worth the visit - fresh scones better than my granny could make (just daren't tell her)!! Quiet but yet easy access to shops and they even have a delivery service from the local shop/off licence to the site!! The canal walks kept the dog occupied for most of the time. Will definitely return.

We have just returned home after a lovely week spent at Holt Farm the site is beautiful and peaceful with well maintained facilities and friendly owners. Cream Teas are served in the orchard at the weekends which are really tasty.
We loved the surrounding countryside, which was excellent for cycling, as fairly flat and walks along the canal were also enjoyable. Our advice is to avoid the Folly Inn and venture elsewhere for drinks and food, as the owner was unfriendly towards us and had no ketchup/tonic water/coke/anything on the menu!

October 2004 Extremely quiet site just a mile or two from Southam, a quiet town with a few nice pubs. Not much to do if you go to Daventry, but Leamington has a lovely shopping precinct for a spot of retail therapy! Farmer extremely friendly and sells buffalo ice cream and burgers from his own herd. Free roaming chickens around the field and loads of sheep. Only a few hundred yards from the Oxford canal so good for a bike ride or walking. We had a lovely quiet weekend in a lovely quiet place.
The toilet facilities were scrubbed out and cleaned even though the site was not very full but the spacious shower areas were not heated so a little cold for October.
The site had become a little waterlogged due to some heavy rain in October, but the farmer offered to pull out anyone who was stuck.
We will be back next summer.

Great! Holt Farm really is my kind of site. Set in rural location, spacious, quiet, and unaffected. It really is a working farm, with friendly farm dog, cats, and chickens. It also has an interesting collection of old tractors and other vehicles.
Excellent value at £9/nt for tourer, 2 people and hook up.
Two fields, larger one has electrics round edge and water standpipe in middle. Toilet block not plush, but roomy, well maintained and supplied.
Do try the Folly Inn at Napton. Very old pub on canal side. Good value food and real ales. You can even walk or cycle there along the canal.
Without hesitation, I would stay here again.

August 2004 Nice place, nice landscape, basic (but I like that), quiet, nice mix of people (some families, some couples, some hippies, no noisy hoolies). Fairly small site and very friendly people running it. Went there with 3 mates for a 'get away from the family and just chill' weekend. Reasonably priced as well.
Nearest pub was a bit of a treck (although along the canal so not too bad) and although it was great during the day it was a bit 'Are you local?' in the evening.
No site shop so come prepared...
All in all, had a very relaxing time, will be going back

June and October 2003 Holt Farm Caravan Park is situated in a delightful part of Warwickshire. We stayed here for a week in June 2003, originally we were going for one or two nights but found the site so delightful we stayed for a week! The site consists of two fields which are both level. The main field has had electric hookups installed this year as part of the ongoing improvements to the site. Adjacent to Holt Farm is the Oxford Canal this is a great place to take dogs for a walk and also gives an insight into the peaceful life of owning or hiring a barge. Holt Farm also have moorings here for those who are lucky enough to have a barge. It would be advisable to book in advance for this site in peak periods as it is very popular. I am sure you will find that this is a site that is well worth visiting. Hopefully you will meet myself and my family there on one of our return visits to Napton. I would also like to thank Neil and Angela for making our stay at their site so enjoyable and relaxing. Site owners like yourselves are what caravanning is all about, hope to see you both again next year!
