Have just returned from a 10 day stay here.
Would I stay there again, no unfortunately not. Mainly because of the facilities. Only three showers with the toilets within them. Only one other separate toilet, that is in front of the caravan waste disposal, in the heat, the smell was very unpleasant. Having to wait for upto twenty minutes first thing in the morning to use a toilet, as other people where already in the showers, with little ones is no fun.
This site would be fantastic if it updated everything.

Did I enjoy my visit to Home Farm? Yes
Would I choose to stay there again? Probably not
Just returned from a week long stay at Home Farm in our tent with hookup. Upon arrival we met the owner who was friendly and welcoming. He explained we could pitch anywhere and that one of the three showers was only running cold water and although he didn't think it would be fixed over the weekend it should be fixed during the week. The site seemed fairly busy but were reliably informed that from Sunday onwards we'd virtually have the place to ourselves.
We enjoyed our stay on the site and found it to be quiet despite being 5 minutes from the M40 with lovely views and well mown fields. Although we didn't eat at The Crown pub (at the entrance to the campsite) the food looked good and seemed to be reasonably priced. We did eat at a pub in Christmas Common (about 10 minute drive away) called the The Fox and Hounds and the food was good, reasonably priced and had superb beer with friendly staff.
There are a few minor niggles I had with the site which I appreciate the owners may be working towards rectifying. The gents toilets weren't particularly clean, smelt a bit ripe and were cramped. The shower wasn't fixed all the time we were there and the second weekend of our stay was very busy due to good weather. Two working showers on a site with that many people isn't acceptable and we ended up going without as we couldn't wait. I did try to ask the guy cleaning the showers earlier in the week if it had been fixed but I don't think he spoke much English so I didn't pursue it. Although the showers themselves were kept reasonably clean (apart from the previously mentioned mop bucket full of dirty water) I did notice litter (dirty tissue, end off a toothbrush) outside the shower block wasn't removed between us arriving and us leaving. Being able to pitch anywhere is fine until the site gets busy and then I think there should have been a bit more guidance on where to pitch.
All in all an enjoyable stay and at £17. 50 a night for two adults with hookup it's not bad value. However, I've stayed on much better sites and I think the facilities need some work.

This was our first camping trip, so we have nothing to measure it against.
It is a lovely little site with just the basic facilities that you would need. The shower rooms were all very clean and I never had to queue to use them.
The site has some lovely views and there are some great walks to be had. The local pub (which is next to the site) had some decent food and their ale was well kept.
I would definitely recommend the site.

Nice little site with lovely views and friendly owners. There is a great pub about 2 minutes walk from the site - good food and good beer - and lovely walks around the site.
The only criticism would be that the site was quite busy but the toilet paper was filled on Friday and then not replenished until Sunday lunchtime. It had run out by Saturday evening. I went up to the house to ask for more but there was nobody there.
The standalone loo was pretty ripe - particularly in the gents - but the shower block (with more loos) was clean with plenty of hot water although there was a mop bucket of dirty water in each one all weekend.
A nice site but could use some daily attention.

This was our first real camping experience with the kids, we all had a great time.
It is very nice site with excellent facilities, very clean toilet and shower blocks, use of a fridge and a fantastic view of a beautiful valley.
The owners were very nice and friendly.
There is a pub about 20 seconds away which sells good beer and serves reasonably priced tasty food.
Will definitely come back!

Wanted a short break away but without travelling far. Ended up here just a few miles from where we used to live. A lovely site situated in the Chilterns with stunning views and walks.
Site was just the right size with loads of hook-ups and room for everyone.
Toilet block was a little fresh but the other shower/toilet block was a lot better.
Pub on the doorstep with what looked like good food and another about 10-15mins walk away down the valley at Bennet End
Ideal for walkers, cyclists and in easy reach of Marlow & Henley on the Thames. West Wycombe Hell fire caves to name but a few.
Just a shame the bank holiday is all but over.

Nice little campsite with good, clean facilities (Shower and toilets) and beautiful view of the country side. The ground is clean and suitable for camping.
Its quite small, so not a great deal of room for kids to play, or for walks etc, but if just a base for exploring the area, then it is fine.
Also fire is not allowed, and we were looking forward to toasting marshmallows!
Andrew is very friendly though and there is a great pub just next door.
Thanks for the stay :)

We ended up going for a long weekend at home farm. - being a weekend you have to book for a minimum of 2 nights.
this small rural site is lovely, - nice and quiet overlooking rolling chiltern hills and countryside.
The site is easily accessible from jn 5 of the M40. The site owners send detailed directions from the motorway with your booking confirmation. Upon arrival we were met from the site keepers at the main house on the way in, the gravel road then takes you round to the first camping field ( this field is for those who don't want electric hook up) - continue along to the second field where there is the main camp field with hook ups. The grass was short, the field was gently sloping and there are amazing unspoiled views of rolling chiltern countryside.
The toilets comprise of 3 units in a block, each unit has shower, basin and wc, then there was a separate small ' portable cabin' type gents loo too.
Facilities were clean enough and tidy on our visit.
The washing up facility is made up from two stainless sinks on the end of a barn type building. - loads of hot water here !
There appeared to be several units on a season long basis. - but the site was not full in september so we found no issues with facilities or queues for showers at this time of year.
There is no playground for children but plenty of space for the kids to play badminton or whatever.
The pub by the entrance to the site is good and the beers and food are top quality !
The hell fire caves are 3 miles away and at £15 for entry for a family of 5 its a fun visit.
Legoland is about 35 min drive away and marlow, oxford and henley upon thames are all options for a day out.
Its a simple site with the benefit of amazing views. And for the price paid it ticked all the boxes. I would go back and use it again.

Was a pretty site in a good location, with a great pub serving good food near to the entrance of the site only a few minutes walk. Beautiful Red Kites flying above.
The site was fairly expensive (£20) and I was charged a supplement for staying only 1 night - I think this is because their minimum is 2 nights. Customer service was very good though.
The toilet and shower facilities were very basic and had not been cleaned in the morning - I've seen better on much cheaper sites.
However a nice stay in a pretty and quiet location.

Have just returned from a four night stay at this little gem of a site. The fantastic weather only embellished our second thoroughly wonderful time on this site.
As mentioned in previous reviews if your looking for beautiful country views and swooping red kites and a real 'get-away-from-work' experience I can not praise this site highly enough.
It is not the most luxurious of sites but shower and toilet facilities were clean at all times with two outdoor dishwashing sinks with hot and cold water. If I had to nit-pick I would say that a bin by the dishwashing facilities is definitely needed or you will have to walk with an appropriate receptacle to dispose of your plate scraps.
There is one standing pipe for fresh water which was adequate - (never had to queue for water in the four days I was there with my sister) It would have been nice if the water tap was suitably drained and sign posted as the excess water merely drains out onto the concreted area and then out into the undergrowth. Not ideal but it did not detract from my enjoyment.
The site has a large fridge freezer for both food and ice-pack freezing use. I was very impressed with this as on other sites I have been to, the freezer is for ice-packs only. This was a double bonus for me as my mobile fridge kicked its clogs on the morning we were so suppose to arrive.
Clear instructions are displayed on front of the fridge freezer for its use. Common sense things such as name, date of departure and making sure your food is in date or it will be discarded without consultation.
With this in mind you may want to bring with you some kind of permanent marker or sticky labels to mark your food items and ice-block bags(we did struggle to write on ours)
There is chemical toilet waste disposal, located behind the green toilet block. As well as recycling bins there is also a local information/things to do leaflet stand adjacent to the fridge freezer room.
If you are a rambler or cyclist this area is just heaven on earth, we took a walk to West Wycombe through some stunning countryside at times felt like we were the only people on the planet as we didn't see a soul for what seemed hours, unfortunately got to West wycome too late to visit any of its handful of quaint shops but just managed to catch one just before closing and purchase a well earned icecream.
At West Wycome grabbed a refreshing shandy at the Swan Inn and enjoyed the company of a friendly landlady with two delightful little dogs before we decided that walking all the way back to Home Farm in the blistering heat was not such a wise idea and ordered a taxi from 'Neals' that cost us £12 (yeah it was indulgent but not as indulgent as one company that quoted a jaw dropping £20! )
We did not visit the crown pub so can not say yeah or nay regarding it however every time we walked passed it was thriving with customers and glimpsed a neatly kept beer garden with several parasoled picnic tables looked inviting but having no children on this trip we wanted to keep things on a low budget and as detached from the hub-bub of life as we could make it.
This site does not have a designated children's play area and did this stop the children? Most definitely not it was so refreshing to see them playing throw and catch, badminton, hide and seek and just enjoying the space.
The very relaxed atmosphere on this site makes it one of my favourites, no screaming signs! and in your face rules n regs (although the site folder in the fridge/freezer room lets you know whats expected of you) in fact there are no designated pitches you just fit in where you like. So those of who don't travel small will not have to worry about whether you will fit on your plot. But be warned if you arrive late on friday for a weekend stay you may have to trawl around and may even be disappointed if you have a large tent/caravan (things did get a lot busier by friday night) we arrived on a Thursday so took are pick of where we wanted to pitch.
In summary - breathtaking scenery, on a small friendly, competitively priced site with clean washing facilities, it will take you back to what camping used to be - a totally relaxing experience. Will definitely be returning
