Great cheap little site this. Shower block is spotless and the whole site is well maintained, with the exception of the road up to the site, which is full of deep potholes and no chance of avoiding them. I visited on my motorcycle and was made to feel very welcome and at £7 per night for my son and myself, I felt it great value. Kinross is a short drive away and a great little town. I will definitely return here, but I hope they fix that approach road before I do.

We used this as a stop over site on our way back South. The owner was very accommodating, making no fuss over the fact us and our travelling friends had larger motorhomes (two rv's, 30 and 35ft long). Cost was £12 p.n. Including EHU (applied discount with c&cc membership), one of the cheapest sites we'd been on in Scotland and far superior in certain ways including the pitches and water/dump points. We were pitched on some gravel hardstandings, right opposite the small playground, which our kids tired themselves out on. There are about 6 or 7 hardstandings in total, the rest is grass, but was firm even though we had a lot of rain that week. The site is on a gentle slope. It has a nice toilet/shower/laundrette block that was found to be clean throughout our stay. The site has plenty of water and ground level waste water dump points right next to the access roads, ideal for motorhomes and rv's. There is a lovely dedicated dog walk around the outside of the site, through wild flowers, trees and big thistles. It made taking the dog out before bed a pleasure for once! The site can take about 50 units, but only had about 10 units on, even when we visited in high season, some of those looked to be full-timers and contractors. I can only put this down to the fact that the site isn't widely advertised (I submitted it to UK-Campsites) and isn't surrounded by a lot of tourist attractions or within staggering distance of a pub. This site is an ideal overnight stop or a base for visiting the Kinross / Edinburgh / Perthshire area. It is close to the M90, but the distant road noise did not bother us. TV signal was excellent - picking up digital freeview fine.
