Tidy little campsite behind local pub.
Sheltered pitches- mostly caravans, but space for tents in between.
Could be a bit cosy when it's full maybe, but perfect on a quiet night.
Friendly and helpful host.
Very clean toilets and showers.
Very reasonably priced pitches.
Convenient for visiting Montgomery and surrounding area. Recommended.

Ground quite hard for pegging up between static caravans & some old dog faeces about. Washroom was fine with hot shower.
Pub owner friendly & helpful.
Good Chinese takeaway not far away.
If walking the Offa’s Dyke then the main road to Church Stoke is not great to walk along, suggest back roads are better.
Good news a bus runs about 07:45 not far from the pub to the crossroads where the path crosses.

At first sight it seemed a bit grim and wouldn’t be an obvious favourite.
Pitches were a bit small and the site is nearly full with towing caravans that are now static.
That said, it did the job for a 2-night camping stay for us 4 middle-aged adults – facilities pretty clean and functional, it was nice and quiet (not many people occupying their caravans and we were the only ones sitting outside in the evening) and the surroundings were rural and pleasant.
It was well located for the section of Offa’s dyke we were walking. There was a little road noise, but not bad enough to be a problem unless you’re very sensitive.
The landlord is a friendly character and he checked that we settled in ok.
The pub is a down to earth local and the food was good (and cheap) basic pub food cooked by the landlady.

Lovely meals in the pub, Dave and his wife friendly and Carol, meals really cheap and nice,
Site more like a car park than Caravan site, but showers and toilets fine, and mostly the caravans are sited and scruffy !
But for the price as a stopover, ideal, enjoyed the peace !

Site untidy but everyone very friendly.
Toilet could do with a good clean. Great pub friendly staff did not eat there. Nice area around to visit.
Will go back. No children with us.

Site easy to find, flat area looks like an old extension car park for the pub, pub nice good beer (didn't try food) landlord friendly and chatty.
A lot of permanent caravans on site (90%) only 3 tourer pitches which are squeezed in.
Site untidy but excellent to pitch on as flat.
Facilities kept very well. Clean wash area, good toilets with lots of loo roll and a lovely large shower for both men and women.
Price has gone up compared to shown rates. £17first night £12 every night thereafter.
Area lovely! Cycled to Kerry Vale Vineyard and onto Montgomery, Chirbury. Village has another pub and a big co-op.
Good overnight stay

Very friendly staff and other residents. Lovely Sunday lunch. My dog allowed in pub made a big difference as she has separation anxiety.
Pub was lovely, site needs a bit of TLC. Overall, had a great few days.
I could not rate the child friendliness properly because I went on my own. No children there. That’s why I put one. NO DETRIMENT at all to the site.

The campsite was a base for us while visiting relatives. Enjoyed overall stay. Pub very friendly and served good food. Landlord very helpful.
Weather unfortunately was not the best, high winds and rain.

£8! EIGHT POUNDS! These are prices I was paying 25 years ago. It's a small site and mostly permanent statics but as a basic base for exploring the area you can't go wrong. No extras to pay (showers, electric).
There's no grassy play area but I was only using it as a base for walking.
The best bit? The pub it belongs to, A proper pub with amazing host that cares about food, beer and cider.
I'll be back.

Very friendly reception and I felt very welcome. The pitches are behind the pub, largely occupied by caravans.
There are toilet and dishwashing facilities, which is nice.
A bit noisy from the busy street but I expected that given the location.
My only issue was that it was difficult to drive the tent pegs into the ground.
