A well maintained site with excellent facilities. Plenty of hot water in the showers and no push buttons to keep pressing.

The views from the site are stunning but we chose a pitch further back on the site in between two toilet blocks (65) which was more sheltered from the winds that are frequent in this area.

The menu in Martins Bar was fairly basic but the meal we had was enjoyable.

We used the swimming pool which was one of the best we’ve found on a campsite and good value at £4. 50 per person.

Wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Pros. A nice site with good clean facilities.

Cons. Tent pitches very exposed, tent completely ruined during high winds, as were the tents of several other groups.

Amazing views and walks direct from your pitch.

We checked in online before we arrived so did not go through reception. ANPR knew our number plate so we went straight through the barrier.

Chose your own pitch was nice but not easy to park up the caravan and walk round to choose. Serviced pitch was a bonus as I’m sure it didn’t mention that when we booked.

Bar food was lovely and great choice of drinks. The showers are some of the best I have ever used. Good selection in spar shop.

We booked up to go to the brewery tour in Bridport. That was well worth the £17, so informative and only 30 min walk from site.

We have been here before and views are absolutely amazing. I wanted to give it a second chance. We booked for 7 nights but only stayed for 5. The wind was so bad. We couldn’t put our awning up. We even chose a sheltered pitch.

I don’t think we will come again, just because of the wind.

First time staying here and we were really looking forward to it.

Sadly spoilt by what seemed to be no rules, or no one sticking to them! Parents getting drunk, being very loud and letting their kids run wild and babies screaming for hours on end really isn't our idea of fun!

Easy check in via ANPR, but I do prefer to see someone on arrival (personal choice). You find your own pitch, which is great.

We managed to find a lovely gravel hardstanding with sea view (and what a view!).

Water and waste nearby. Toilets/showers a bit further away but spotlessly clean (until it rained!). We'd stayed on 2 other sites in Dorset during our 10 days away and this one definitely had the best facilities. Rubbish and recycling near toilet block.

Great bar and restaurant on site and loved the fire station theme.

Had a pint sat outside one afternoon and enjoyed 'happy hour - 3pm-6pm'. Also had a cooked breakfast on our last full day. Really tasty, freshly cooked but service VERY slow.

Great walks from the site into Bridport, West Bay, Eype and beyond. Hilly as you would expect. No bus services close to the site.

I was 100% expecting to give this site a 10* rating before we arrived BUT due to the lack rules, personal contact with any staff and selfish campers (not the sites fault) I have to rate it lower.

Would we return? Probably but mid week and definitely out of season.

Found this site last minute as weather was better in Dorset than Wales and wow. Really impressed we booked from a Monday for two nights ended up staying four.

Choice of gravel or grass. Grass was further away from the toilets and showers but much better sea views gravel pitches were fine but £8 dearer we paid £32 a night with electric.

Pitches were huge and plenty. South west coast path walks either way. West bay 1 1/2 miles left Eype village and beach 1/2 mile right or golden cap further on

Club on site, pool, spa shop. All reasonable priced we will be back. But beware it gets fully booked on weekends.

Booking advised, you can't reserve pitches but first come first served.

Lots for kids to do

We recently enjoyed a fantastic 3-night motorhome stay at Highlands End Holiday Park in Bridport, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Here’s a rundown of our experience:

Location:

Highlands End is perched on a scenic cliff with breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast. The park’s location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Dorset coastline, with easy access to West Bay and Bridport. The sunsets over the sea were spectacular and truly memorable.

Facilities:

The park is well-equipped with modern amenities. The motorhome pitches are spacious, level, and well-maintained, providing ample space for parking and setting up. The hookup facilities were conveniently located and easy to use. The shower and toilet blocks were spotless, with plenty of hot water and a constant high standard of cleanliness.

Activities and Entertainment:

There is something for everyone at Highlands End. We took advantage of the indoor swimming pool, which was a great way to relax and unwind. The on-site bar and restaurant, Martin’s Bar & Restaurant, offered a good variety of delicious meals and drinks, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The park also has a well-stocked shop for any essentials you might need during your stay.

Family-Friendly:

We were a family of 6 x adults and 2 x children (4yrs and 1 yrs old and 2 x small dogs) in 3 x Motorhomes, we found Highlands End to be incredibly accommodating. The children loved the adventure playground and the open spaces where they could run around freely. The park also offers a range of family-friendly activities, ensuring that the kids were entertained throughout our stay.

Customer Service:

The staff at Highlands End were exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a helpful attitude. They provided us with all the information we needed and were always on hand to assist with any queries. Their local knowledge was invaluable in helping us plan our outings.

Surroundings:

The natural beauty surrounding the park is simply stunning. We enjoyed several walks along the coastal paths, taking in the fresh sea air and the panoramic views. The walk from the park to Gold Cap had steep hills to climb and go down, but the views were spectacular. The nearby town of Bridport is charming and has a variety of shops, cafes, to explore.

Overall Experience:

Our stay at Highlands End Holiday Park was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for our family. The park’s superb facilities, coupled with its stunning location and excellent customer service, made our holiday truly special. We left feeling refreshed and with many happy memories. We highly recommend Highlands End for anyone looking for a top-notch motorhome holiday in a beautiful setting.

We can't wait to return for another visit!

Excellent site. Great location with fabulous coastal walks in either direction, or into Bridport for independent shops & eateries.

Most pitches appear level and all are well maintained. Love the ability to select own plot as it allows personal preferences (quiet area/ facilities block etc).

Pitches to the west have great sunsets and are very popular. We chose a pitch on the opposite perimeter with great views over the farmland down to the sea at West Bay.

Good dog walking areas direct from site. Access to the beaches via South West Coast path. Rabbits everywhere.

Note if it's windy, you will notice it!

Clean facilities.

Lovely views but we were told we could park up anywhere on the grey pitches but failed to say toilet blocks were closed at one end & water taps were turned off so we had to walk around to find a working tap, no fun in the rain !

I don't want to gush but Highlands End was the best caravan site we have ever stayed at and we have been to a few good ones.

The location is perfect, the pitches well laid out and the facilities are nearby and spotless.

The staff are completely non-intrusive but there if you should need them. We had a fantastic four days there and will book a longer stay in early December.

We also visited the bar / social club, Martins and enjoyed a glass of wine.

We did not use pitch and put / swimming pool as we were not with the grandchildren but would be sure to use them if we return with young ones. Thank you.

Lovely site on a hill with beautiful view’s.

The day we arrived it was very windy and sadly some tents were blowing down, but the camp chaps on the golf buggy were at hand to help save the tents.

The water tap in our isle was not working I told reception as I arrived back to my pitch they were already fixing it. What excellent service. Facilities were excellent too lovely and clean. The whole site is very well looked after.

Lots of lovely walks. Reception have a leaflet on all the trails.

Short walk to west bay on the coastal walk also through the estate on the other route takes about the same time 15 20 mins. Beach for dogs 👍

Eype beach dogs allowed on beach too.

Steep decent to both on coastal trail.

Nearest bus stop is in west bay. Lots of dog walking fields on site 👍
