What a wonderful find this site was, right on the river and adjoining cafe/restaurant.
Hardstanding fully serviced pitches with views of the river and over farmland.
Convenient for visiting York via nearby bus stop or alternately Park in the nearby Designer shopping centre with attached park and ride facility at a cost of £6 return for two people, or, if you are able you can walk or cycle using the adjacent cycle path.
The wash facilities are up there with the very best.
We will definitely be returning.

We liked the view of the River which is in front of the pitches.
The check in was easy and good service. A fob is given to access the gates and shower and toilets.
Spaces in line with Caravan Club on gravel pitches.
We walked to Naburn Lock and had a pint at The Blacksmiths Inn which charges over the top drink prices.
Walked to York and got the 24 Bus back from Piccadilly. Hired a boat next day and cruised into York again.
Only thing that spoiled our stay was a very loud all night RAVE which sounded like it was coming from the nearby Caravan site. For that reason we wont be going again. Was louder than Glastonbury and went on until 4. 30 AM. Not the marinas fault though.

OK, one negative (if it really is!) - some pitches are not level so ramps require.
The site is small, very well set out and we loved it!
Firstly, check in was great, staff lovely, situated just off the road where there was a bus stop outside to either York or Selby.
There is a very popular en-site cafe serving breakfast, snacks, lunch & afternoon tea & evening meals on a weekend (maybe different during main season - we stayed in January) - we didn’t visit so can’t comment but due to the very busy car park assume it’s good!
Walks from the site are good and there is an off road cycle route to both York and Selby and other reasonably quiet cycling alternatives.
The toilet & shower blocks were spot on, always immaculate and lots of lovely hot water in heated blocks.
I just can’t fault!
Also very secure, barriers shut overnight with personal access in/out as required.
£25pn with 16A EHU but less if you choose a non river pitch.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Communication was excellent beforehand and the staff were friendly and efficient when we arrived.
We had a ‘marina view’ pitch (no 6) which gave us a view of both the marina and the river, so there was always something to see. We walked over the river and down to Acaster Malbis (map provided on arrival) where there’s a decent looking pub.
If you have bikes there’s a cycle route to both York and Selby. Facilities were very good -toilets and showers were immaculate and there was free wi-fi.
The site is next door to a very popular restaurant which is open until about 9 on Fridays and Saturdays, but as we stayed on a Sunday, closing time was 4pm.
I notice a previous review mentioned that pitch 1 was next to the restaurant and would benefit from a fence - this seems to have been taken care of now.
We’ll definitely stay again at some point in the future.

View was lovely, showers excellent & clean
However we were on plot 1 not level pitch overlooked by cafe, no privacy people walking past awning and staring in, would benefit from a fence and some kind of screen, avoid pitch 1
Would stay again but on a different pitch

Very nice site but with my wife been disabled there was two issues, showers and toilets wasn't suitable for my wife, no hand rails. showers got a big step to get in, not walk in one
The hard standing was loose stone, hard to push a wheelchair on
That is the only two issue's, would of given the site 10 out of 10 because of the issue's I give the site 6 because they are big issue's

2 ladies shower rooms each with its own toilet and washbasin and under floor heating. Kept very clean, with hand wash and ample supply of toilet tissue and hand drying tissue.
Small 10 unit site, very quiet and picturesque on banks of river Ouse.
Immaculate licenced cafe. Just under £9 for 2 pints of lager, Didn't eat here so can't comment on food.
Staff friendly and helpful. Bus stop not very far from entrance.

Nice site as you overlook the river & it is well kept, Only 2 down points, the toilet/shower block is still not finished?? Looking on here the work has been going on well over a year?? They do give you access to the marina shower block that is excellent but is a very long way to walk especially in the middle of the night!
2nd point is the rubbish bins require emptying more often.
Other than that this site is excellent, cafe on site is a good place to eat with lovely riverside seating, bus stop outside gate or park & ride a mile away. Good pub within walking distance.
All in all a very nice site just needs the 2 issues above sorting out.
