Lovely little site and very relaxed. Probably because it wasn't that busy on the weekend we went.
Facilities were clean and tidy every time we used them with good showers. The shop is small and basic.
There is no bar on site but there are a few good local pubs and the bar in the woods down the road is worth a visit.
The owners were very helpful and pointed out that we could pitch on any vacant space as there were no pitches marked out so this could work both ways as as you could choose a space where you could have a bit of room around you or you could have multiple units closer together if you were in a group.
If you get the wrong route in it is a little tight if you have a larger unit so bear in mind the recommended route.
We would definitely use this site again for a weekend break in the area

I unfortunately chose to go on a motorcycle trip around north Devon as storm Eunice was approaching! I'd already committed to the trip before I started to hear about the impending storm and chose to continue and see how it goes.
My trip included staying at Zeacombe House which was nice and simple to arrange.
Kelly was responsive on the email and helped me find a suitable pitch type and shortly booked in.
Finding the site was easy traveling down reasonably wide country lanes, reception was part of the house with the entrance to one side.
I received a nice friendly welcome and was given some good advice on where to pitch my tent to avoid the incoming stormy weather! I asked where the nearest shop was for bread, to my surprise I was kindly given some nice rolls to save me heading out again! 😊
I followed the instructions and pitched up in a good flat corner which was nicely sheltered. The toilet and wash block was close by, it was nice and clean with good hot water flow.
I enjoyed my stay at Zeacombe, I would definitely stay again and happily recommend to others!
Thanks for a great stay!

Well placed for access to Exmoor, Devon coast and Dartmoor without being in the turmoil of tourist honeyspots.
Friendly welcome, choice of pitches, (which are not marked out), facilities clean and adequate (although the push button controlled showers did not give much water between pushes).
A little noise from the road and from some kennels in the distance, but nothing too detrimental. Useful shop for basics.
Some seasonals on site, some unused, and some workers leaving at unusual times for their shifts (but they did not disturb our sleep).
I was the only driver sticking to 5MPH, most were doing 20+mph.
