Very easy access to this site from A1. Small site with a couple of permanent residents in statics.
Small pitches but we were able to have our overhang over the grass, most outfits would need to do this so that you weren't stuck out onto the road through.
On arrival from 12 noon which is rare these days, we were warmly welcomed by our host Sylvia. Lovely lady and very friendly.
The site itself was basic, no facilities and £25 per night which isn't unreasonable in these current times. The grass was manicured to within an inch of its life and grey waste water was to be decanted into the hedgerows. Fresh water pressure was good at the tap and bins were easily found at the entrance.
The site is a good half hours walk from the centre of Alnwick. We were overwhelmed at Barters book shop which is housed in the old train station, a must visit. The town itself had some nice independent shops and cafes and the castle and gardens is within walking distance.
We also visited the Aln Valley heritage railway and had a quick ride on a Steam Engine as the line isn't very long but is a work in progress to reinstall the line to Alnmouth.
There's plenty to do in the area and fuel/supermarkets are in close proximity to the site.
We ate at the pub/hotel, 5 min walk from site The Hogs Head Inn and whilst it was very busy, we didn't wait long for our meals and they were reasonably priced.
We were disturbed only by the very early and tea time visits to the builders/joinery yard just beyond the site by workman in their rattly work vans driving up and down the lane. Traffic on the A1 itself was a dull hum at best and every now and again we heard dogs barking from a local kennels.
If we were visiting the area again, I think we would use this site as there wasn't much to dislike and again, we were made to feel very welcome.

We absolutely loved this campsite!
It is within walking distance of Alnwick, has great views and spacious pitches.
The owners Sylvia and Rab couldn't be nicer, making you feel so welcome and there for anything you need.
We can't wait to return!

Well kept lovely green space with hard standing so peaceful
Sylvia greeted us with comprehensive instructions to back up all the details of amenities on a site and where situated.
Bus stop close by for Alnwick
Would definitely use again for sure

A simple but really nice site.
Very friendly and helpful staff! :-)
Important to know: You need your own facilities there. Grey water and toilet waste can be disposed.

Lovely site very handy for Alnwick.
Sylvia was very helpful, friendly and professional.
No showers or toilets but was aware of that when booking so no problem

We booked this site on route home from a trip to London as our usual CL was full.
On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly helpful lady who told us where everything was and directed to our pitch which was hardstanding gravel, with loads of space around it.
The site in general had an untidy appearance, with what appeared to be some permanent residents, the toilet disposal was a hole under a metal flap, with no tap for rinsing out.
The location is good with so many cafes and shops nearby and good dog walks also close. And close to Alnwick and all it's attractions.
Probably wouldn't return though.

Site with basic facilities and no amenity block but the location is great within easy walking distance to Alnwick.
Lots of space between pitches and the grass is really well kept. Very nice staff, pleasant and helpful.
I would stay here again.

Excellent stop off location for long journeys North or South, close to a petrol station that sells LPG to fill your tank, a shopping centre and also close to Alnwick to visit the must see Garden and castle.
The site is basic with no toilets/ shower block when we visited but still offers excellent value for money.
Quiet site with very friendly owner.
