Loved the site, peaceful and tranquil. Sadly no more. Sorry to say it's not a campsite anymore! Perfectly placed for Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Exeter and the coast between. Spent many a holiday there till 2006, thought we'd revisit this year only to be told no longer trading as a campsite! (Have I reached 300 characters yet?) Scratched off the list with a heavy heart! :'(

We have been visiting Wear Farm for over 25 years, and have always found it a delightful place to stay. The facilities are a bit basic, but more than compensated by the riverside location and the fantastic views.
However, we were informed by the owner that this year will be the last they will be open for tourers & tents. It is a shame that such a delightful site is no longer going to be available.
I would just like to wish Nigel and his family all the best for the future, and say thankyou for the past 25 years.

This site is in a gorgeous location in Teignmouth.
The toilets and showers are in need of a revamp, the site is actually lovely. The shop was very reasonable, and the people who actually live on the site are very friendly.
The surroundings are gorgeous with stunning views across the estuary.
Watch out for the steep hill as you come into the site itself. Teignmouth itself is only 10 minutes away with Dawlish and Dawlish Warren a further 10 minutes. We would go again but not camping in the bottom field

Well everyone moaned about the toilet blocks but we all kept going back, Why? Answer was easy I loved it as a kid and my kids love it.
You can camp by the river with a little fire going all night, barbecues, , trains which you love or hate and the view, , fantastic. I used to go there with my mum and dad from age of 5.
I'm not sure that the toilet block ever changed but they were washed, , mind you there was a fantastic collection of spiders in there.
I've caught plenty of fish in the river including bass and had really good times.

This is a great campsite, we've stayed here twice and feel like your really camping, back to basics. Dog friendly, staff and on site residents very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to going back and chilling out around our tent.
The shower blocks are old and basic but water was hot and all clean and tidy plenty of loo roll all the time.
The overall view around the site was clean and tidy.
Nice walk around the site down to the river where you can sit and watch the boats.
Local shops, and attractions i.E beaches all pretty close and although I drive there seems to be frequent buses running past the site. The only downside is the steep hill in and out of the site.
The on site shop is well stocked.

Site very nice but very basic, you need a 4x4 to get up the steep hill, lol
Enjoy the stay, weather not too good but ok, had the site to ourselves, 1 week stay cost £82, fishing is brill at Teignmouth
If you like showering with spiders and cobwebs then this is a very basic shower block, no heating, or chair to sit on get change, in need of a major update

Great campsite. Pitched in the top field which was on a slight slope but made no difference, Toilet / Shower block was spotlessly clean and the showers were great with plenty of piping hot water even late in the evening. The field has fantastic views with neatly mown grass. This was a weekend expedition for my diving club and without exception everyone remarked how good the campsite and facilities were.
We booked in for 2 nights and overshot the departure time by 5 hours and the site only charged for half a day extra camping.Very reasonable
Dog friendly with great walks down along the Teign Estuary.
We will certainly return here.

Our 4th year back to this site brilliant yet again so relaxed and so much space to let your little ones run around, my 4yr old has just learnt to ride his bike without stabilisers while there. Close enough to the beach and town to get shopping etc, and the chip van that comes to the site is really good better than town we thought.

This site we chose so we were close to Dawlish. The owners seemed organised enough. The grass was regularly mowed. The toilets were caravan type portaloos, and smelled like them too. The showers could be a danger, the fittings were so out dated. Not too far to take the dogs for a walk near the river Teign, alternatively, to do a little fishing. There is a small shop on site but Teignmouth is about the nearest place for shopping and Newton Abbot a little farther. Sorry, pub by car. On leaving, I thought that if the car manages to get up the hill off the site and the clutch doesn't burn out, the rest of the journey back home will.
