The site was clean and tidy. Toilets and showers were spotless. They also had shower gel, etc, to use if you'd forgotten your own. Two dog walks on site.
Pitches were large enough for caravan, awning and car. Staff helpful and polite. We liked the fact that when they cut the grass it was also picked up so it wasn't dragged into your van.
Walk into town was 15-20 minutes. There is a beautiful park in the town which is well looked after and used. We were there when it was their civic day which was like a carnival and very well attended. Great job to all involved.
Great base for going out and about to explore the area.
Haven't marked child friendliness as we did have any children with us but there were some on the site.
Well done all at Glenearly. Would recommend and will be back for another visit in the future.

Beautiful site, not too big, quiet, well maintained, very clean showers and toilets.
Toiletries supplied, good laundry room and outdoor drying facilities.
Staff are really nice and helpful. Short walk in to Dalbeattie that has a lovely park with a river and a pond. People are very sociable too.
Supermarket only a short drive from the site in castle Douglas that is also a nice town with a NTS garden that is well worth a visit. As is Kippford and Rockcliffe on the Solway.
I would be very happy to return to this site as there is so much to see in the area.

Excellent clean site with immaculate toilets and showers
A short walk into Dalbeattie where pubs and restaurants can be found.
Staff very friendly and welcoming, always a wave from them!
We booked four nights and ended up staying seven nights, and this was our second visit and will certainly not be our last!

Immaculate, well kept site in a fabulous location for exploring Dumfries and Galloway.
Less than a 10 minute drive to a lovely beach and a 20 minute walk into Dalbeattie where you can get your essentials - shops and pubs.
The owners are friendly and helpful and responded quickly to enquiries. A gem of a site.

We have had another lovely peaceful stay at this great, friendly, clean, well looked after site.
Even with Storm Ciara and Dennis and Ellen visiting over our 3 separate visits.
Will definitely be back.

Very clean and well kept toilet block, with the added bonus of shampoos etc if you’d forgot yours.
Not too far out of Dalbeattie, which was ideal for us as we there for mountain biking at the 7 stanes.
The pitch itself was a gravel standing, which had plenty of space. I presume could be tricky to get parked at busy times of the year.
We didn’t use but there was a games room with table tennis, pool and other games for even younger children. There was also a playground that was perhaps more suitable for under 8’s.
There was also a small fishing pond that we didn’t use.
We happen to stay the weekend of storm Dennis, but we had enough shelter to not get blown away.

Have stayed on this site several times and as usual was not disappointed.
Busier than we normally find it but as always the staff were friendly and helpful.
Toilets spotless and well stocked for those essentials left at home.
Easy walk into Dalbeattie for supplies and would definitely recommend.
We will return.

Just returned from a lovely trip to Scotland. We used Glenearly as our base its handy for everywhere on the Solway Firth.
Second visit here and standards are very high. Pitch easy to access, flat and well drained.
Showers and loos spotlessly clean. There are a lot of seasonal caravans here and as it was term time it was quiet.
We will definitely return in the future.
