Great little site with all facilities required,
The owner Anthony made us welcome and showed us where everything was.
The site has a small pond so some bird watching opportunities available. There are some nice pubs in district and near to chester.
A great surprise was Park Gate lovely place and for us the highlight was Port Sunlight an amazing Village.

Lovely welcome from the site manager, site on a busy main road and dangerous to walk along the pathway if you have young children.
Site was immaculate, shower and loos cleaned regularly.
Real shame was the old man that lives on the site was constantly watching us and when we tried to say a pleasant hello he just grumbled something and didn’t look happy for some unknown reason. Someone else on the site had also commented on him I’m afraid so won’t be going back 😢.

Lovely helpful owner and well positioned to visit Chester.
Washing and toilet facilities leave a lot to be desired.
Could have forgiven the one coin operated shower but as someone who hates spiders the one toilet in a brick built outhouse was a step too far.

I only stayed the night, but it was home from home, not a big site, but all the same great, owners where so friendly, to me just felt I'd known them for years.
This site has all the positives, negatives you are next to a busy road but again it didn't bother me.
Would I recommend this site yes yes yes.
I will be back

Really friendly welcome, facilities are basic but suitable for our needs.
We parked opposite the lovely pond teaming with ducks, moorhens, dragon flies and a rather comedic running ducks that kept popping over to say hello.
Lots of space. Would visit again.

A cosy campsite. Primitive, but clean. Owner is helpful.
I loved the animals which where walking around. The duck and dog come to say hi. A lovely pond we where looking on.
The entrance is difficult to see.

Great looking towards the pond, lovely donkey and ducks. Two of them would come running over as soon as they saw us, nattering away.
We gave them some seed (always carry some) and they enjoyed that as well as weaving around our legs trying to knock us over!
We used it as a base to seea few of Cheshire's sights - a couple of stately homes and the Anderton Boat Lift.
Very handy for Chester too. Pub not far away but we didn't go in.
Only possible drawback is the busy road, but nothing to be done about that!
Didn't use the loo or shower so can't speak of that.

Ideal site for visiting Chester or the Wirral, especially if you want to use bikes as access to cycle paths really close by.
Other units at the time seemed to be people working in the area rather than tourists but this was not a problem.
Road noise might be an issue if you wanted to sit outside but weather was cold so we were inside the caravan when we were on site.
Nice welcome, facilities fine.

I stayed at the Astbury Villas CCC CS campsite for 4 out of 5 nights.
The facilities, as you might expect from a CS were basic but very clean and accessible.
The owners were friendly and helpful, but sometimes I felt unable to approach for help as there was no clear designation or signage etc.
It is, however, a lovely site, well kept with easy access to the surrounding areas, Chester Zoo etc.
The cost was very reasonable and I will happily return there when I need a site in that area.

Lovely little site just off the M56 with all the amenities you could possibly need, including toilet cassette disposal.
We were a last minute booking, taking a slot cancelled that same day, and were made to feel very welcome.
Our hardstanding with EHU was less than £20 and well worth it.
We shall stay again when in the area.
