Very quiet when we visited,
A beautiful location with bus stop right outside the camp 10 mins into Douglas,
There is a pub and a shop about 20minute walk away, very friendly and helpful staff.
Showers are dated but always clean and hot.
Lovely views and good wifi.
Will stay again next time we visit the Isle of Man.

What a top site! We visited for this years TT and from the off we knew we had picked the right place.
Facilities were spot on, 2 large fields to pick from, right on the course from union Mills up to Glen Vine.
All of the Glenlough Team were super friendly with lots of advice on places to visit be that or the TT or just to explore the island itself.
Will certainly be booking again.

We originally booked 4 nights but ended up staying for 8. The bus stop for Peel and Ramsey is at the sight entrance. The stop for Douglas is a short walk up the road with a frequent service in both directions.
The site is large and level with great views of the surrounding hills and a good starting point for walks on the Steam Heritage Trail and Millennium Way.
The new Coop at Crosby is a 30 minute walk on the Heritage trail so is The Crosby pub. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
The blocks with the toilets, showers and recreation room were clean and the water was hot; but because hardly anyone was staying it took a long time to come through into the (unheated) shower block.
Although it is right next to the main Douglas to Peel road there was surprisingly little traffic noise on the hardstanding pitches

This site is well located, not far from Douglas and with access on site to the Heritage trail, for walkers and cyclists.
The paddock with electric hook up for tents is close to the main A1 Douglas to Peel Road so can suffer from traffic noise although it didn't bother us to much, the main field is very spacious if you do not require electric.
During the TT and MGP the site could get very busy with bikers and access is closed during racing as the main road is part of the track.
We used a 7 day travel pass which can be used for all transport, electric tram, steam railway, buses etc, and you can use these to access some excellent walks.
Overall the site was clean with the owners friendly and live close by. Although you have to factor in the cost of the ferry it worked out reasonable for our stay overall.
Will return.

Grand spot, staff very friendly and helpful,
Good clean toilets and showers,
Plenty of space,
Only 10mins drive from Douglas but there’s a shop 1mile up the road which has most things

Stayed for TT. Ideal location to get around the island and good bus service into Douglas.
Pub and shop with walking distance as well as cafe on site.
Access road becomes the race track so if you are in when the roads close viewing the race from the campsite is very good or you can walk via the heritage trail.
Showers/toilets are ideal for standard camping but expect to queue during the TT and both fields are packed.
All in all, recommended.

Stayed again for the TT races, great site with plenty of amenities, large enough to cope with high occupancy but small enough to care,
Very friendly and capable staff. Nightly entertainment marquis with some good bands, food available at times on site.
Spar shop 1km down the road, I stayed in my tent but hoping to bring Campervan next year when I complete the conversion, away from the hustle and bustle of town and within the TT/MGP circuit.
Great Island and excellent camp site. (12th year of staying here)

Liked the atmosphere, on site food, music, and loos regularly cleaned and stocked.
Didn't like TT week queues for loos and showers.
No access during TT roads closed.
