Great campsite. £10 per person per day, fires allowed and most surprisingly a decent hot shower!
£5.50 bags of logs - I'd suggest stocking up on these when you can as we'd spent too long in the pub on the second night and had to rely on the kindness of other campers!
Short distance to the Mallyan Spout pub (better than the one in Goathland). Decent food & good price beer!

Site has beautiful views.
Very casual, just knock on the door to pay.
The toilets were very basic and no hand wash or toilet roll was provided so make sure you take your own.
There was also big issues with drunk groups playing music very loud and causing chaos in the middle of the night, which no one was monitoring or addressing.

I've been coming here from being a teenager. You can have a fire, rules are reasonable.
The shower is basic, the toilets are ok, could be better for the price you pay. Since lockdown the price has increased over 50 percent. I think they should change how the price is allocated.
Currently it is 10 pounds per person per night. Some tents can hold 6-8 people, that's 60-80 pounds per night, way too expensive ! Like other campsites which charge per tent, this needs evaluating as I think it will have a major impact on the future of Brow House Farm.
If the price changes I will rate it differently.

Absolutely stunning views of the surrounding area, short walk to goathland amenities, pub was good.
Maylan spout waterfall very short distance, Whitby only 9 miles away.
Shower had hot water, but very compact, working toilet, both could do with an update, but overall they are fit for purpose.
We had no issues or complaints, campsite had firepits which was a bonus.
Would definitely book again in the near future.

Basic site wonderfully placed.
We're left to our own devices and I would say this site caters for groups well.
Each pitch (you could choose your own) came with a fire pit and the farm sold bags of wood for £5.
Had to go down to the house to actually pay as nobody checked us in or asked for money.
Price was £8 per person regardless of tent size.

I liked this site, it is basic, the tent part is a field with fire pits.
A short walk down the path to toilets (again basic) and a tap, there was a shower but we didn’t use it. There was no soap or loo roll so you need to take your own, there also is no washing up area so be prepared for that.
It is on a working farm and the man who owns it is elderly, I just knocked on the day we left and gave him the money for our pitch.
My only issue with the site was the amount of rubbish, there were 3 overflowing industrial bins and my kids picked up 2 bin bags of rubbish from the camping field.
It did seem to be bin day when we left so I do wonder if the rubbish was due to be collected.
We like a basic campsite and being able to cook over a fire so it was ideal for us.
