Maybe I visited at a bad time - I understand the owners hadn't been in very long. However, I had intended staying 2 nights but had no reply from an email requestand 3 phone calls - incl leaving 2 voicemails.
In the end I just turned up without booking but was dismayed to find, when the pub opened at 4pm, that it was not serving food. So I had a banana and bag of crisps for my evening meal. The pub was having a new kitchen so fair enough but I was still charged £15 for a non-electric pitch - cash please.
Okay there is a small toilet block but not sure I'd have used it.
Needless to say I left the next day and went to a free Britstop pub.
It was a shame because Cawood village is charming with a castle, a Garth and lovely walks.

A decent site with clean facilities.
Toilet and shower room are clean and tidy.
The pitches are long and narrow but ample space to drive onto with grass alongside.
There are electric hook ups payable as extra to the pitch fee of £20 per night. , which we didn't need.
The site is through the pub carpark and gated off with a tall hedge.
Overall we had a good stay.

Very narrow site with tiny pitches opposite each other with narrow 'roadway' in between, large metal staircase on external wall of pub as turn into carpark.
Toilet facilities dirty with key code access.
Expensive site with electricity extra with minimum spend £5 and no refund if not used.
Only one member of staff at pub able to serve for caravan site.
Noisy site.
Will not be visiting again.

I’m used to a CS that’s £15 all in with no facilities. Stayed here with a group of friends who needed somewhere with facilities - £25 a night and mains is on top of that by way of top up cards. No mention anywhere on their booking website that mains is extra.
Personally I think this site is expensive for what it offers. There’s one loo and one shower for men, and similar I gather for women. And they’re basic and needed updating.
The site itself is two long rows of gravel hard standing and I’d rate as adequate. Could do with some TLC. In my eyes this site should be no more than £15 a night, £20 tops.
Can’t fault the staff at the pub however, very friendly and great with dogs. Food was also very good and beer prices good too.
Access be aware there’s a large metal staircase as you pull in on the left, and it’s black. There’s plenty of room just be mindful of this as you pull in.

Spent one night here on our way home from Pontefract races.
The campsite is through the car park at the back of the Pub. The facilities are at the back of the Pub to one side of the Car park. Very clean and plenty of hot water.
We spent the night in the pub and received a very friendly welcome from the Bar maids and locals. The Lamb pie was lovely. Dog friendly pub where ours received a lot of attention.
Didn't have time to explore the area but its well worth a return visit

Nice little site, very friendly staff, Toilets & showers was nice and clean, ladies had 2 toilets and one large shower with plenty of hot water, but there is no heating so it was a but cold.
The pub restaurant was nice but we had to wait too long for the food, (We didn’t book) there are other pubs in the area just a short walk away if you fancy a change. Selby has a good market on Mondays it’s worth a look. We would return to the campsite it`s fine.

First visit to this site and it won't be the last, great welcome from owners at the pub.
I was originally put off by a couple of old reviews but these are new owners and they are doing a great job.
The site is very clean as are the showers and toilets. Pitches are gravel hard standing and level, electrics are only 6 amp but I didn't have any problems.
A nice quiet spot in the middle of a lovely village.
Pub serves breakfasts as well as other food throughout the day, a couple of other pubs a few minutes walk away.
