Peaceful and secluded with great walks from the campsite if you don’t want to drive anywhere.
2 showers and 2 toilets available that were really clean.
Plenty of hot water for showers (no extra charge) and amazing water pressure too.
We were greeted by the lovely Louise (owner) who was really welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area.
We would definitely use this site again.

This campsite is lovely - it is a field that catches the sun and we were very lucky that the weather was gorgeous.
Two toilets, two showers - really warm and unlimited.
Park where you like, picnic tables and fire pits - logs are £6.
Family is so lovely and the walks to the pubs are awesome, through ancient woodland.
Really enjoyed our short break.

Highly recommended site. Very well managed, clean, peaceful, isolated.
Friendly, accommodating and helpful owners.
Excellent river swimming 25 mins drive away behind Skenfrith castle.
Will be returning.

Beautiful and intimate campsite set in stunning surroundings. A great jumping off site for local trips to the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Brecon Beacons.
Kids can run around and really enjoy themselves, though this does mean it can get a bit raucous now and again. But they will be exhausted by 9pm so not a problem.
The toilet and washing up facilities are fine, but I have to say that the showers were great. Really warm and powerful.
There are a couple of fire pits for chillier evenings and wood can be purchased on site.
All in all we had a great time here and our friends also enjoyed themselves. Great walks, nice pubs, canoeing, mountain biking and a great camp site to come back to.

The campsite is perfect for a quiet peaceful getaway, which is what we were after, and we had a wonderful relaxing time.
Rob was quick to welcome us when we arrived and told us about an ancient woodland walk nearby which lived up to his recommendation.
The toilet block was clean and fully stocked with toilet paper and soap with plenty of hot water.
Our only gripe was that the lights in the toilet block weren’t working (except one shower light) which made night time visits a bit tricky….
Having said that, we would be happy to make a return visit in the future.

A wonderful campsite, very welcoming.
Small enough so that the kids had got their bearings and felt at ease very quickly but with enough nooks and crannies that there was plenty to explore.
Friendships happened, playmates found, profound fireside conversations with strangers become friends.

This is a fabulous site for a group to camp. Relaxed and friendly with a rope swing and fire pits for the kids to roast marshmallows over.
Warm showers are brilliant, washing up and water facilities close by (basic but clean. )
In the summer sunlight it was almost magical for the kids (4-15) to be outside and free to play.
Lovely walks to the local cake purveyor and fruit picking in the orchard for the teenagers. Swimming in the river for everyone.
A wonderful place.

Amazing campsite, perfect for families. Set in a gorgeous rural location surrounded by fields with forests and rivers to explore. The views across the valley are stunning.
Louise and Rob are great host. There's all you need on site for a great stay with lovely pubs nearby like The Bush and you can get your supplies from Monmouth which is a short drive away and is a lovely town.
We were lucky enough to be there for pizza night with delicious outdoor cooked pizzas which were a hit with everyone

Wonderful quiet and idyllic spot for a peaceful visit. We rented the entire campground for a weekend after having visited last summer with just a tent and had a fantastic chilled out couple of days.
Rob and Louise are amazing and warm hosts, effectively welcoming campers onto their smallholding.
Facilities are basic but comfortable and well cared for. They do include firepits and picnic tables, which makes for great relaxed evenings and a real feeling of being away from it all.
Camp spots are in a field surrounded by trees, or there are a couple of spots in an orchard. There is also a small cottage and a 'shepherds hut' caravan (more expensive) - both well appointed and very comfortable.
If you want a low-key, low-impact, very beautiful place to stay I couldn't recommend this highly enough. Fantastic.

This is a campsite for campers, if you are the sort of person who is tied to your phone then forget it! (There's no signal anyway)
The owners, Louise and Rob, made us welcome from the start. They were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The site is a slightly sloping small field with lovely views. The facilities are basic but we love this sort of camping. (The showers are excellent!).
There are plenty of walks in all directions around the site and the Wye valley is close at hand. We even managed to walk to Monmouth although we got the bus back!
We enjoyed the the quiet of the weekdays and the contrast of the busy weekend when families arrived and children played on the rope swing and in the woods.
If you are the sort of person who enjoys a really dark starry night and waking up to birdsong you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at this campsite.
As an extra bonus Rob and Louise can supply you with delicious cider and apple juice from their orchard.
